Jack POV

"Please, no, don't hurt any of them..." Jade begged weakly, losing herself to Pitch. He laughed and she grimaced.

"Don't even try to move forward," North whispered, warning me, while I fought with myself to not run to her and pull her into my arms, protecting her, make her feel okay, make her feel strong.

Jade whimpered and curled herself into a shaking ball, drawing shaky and unstable breaths. Oh how I want to kill Pitch.

Pitch smiled evilly at me as he made his way around her curled body. He stopped at her side and sighed happily. "How long have I wanted to hurt her," He nudged her side softly with his nasty feet, Jade jerked her body away, growling silently.

"Look," Tooth alerted me and then I saw it-

The snow around Jade's body started to melt, but Pitch didn't notice what she's doing. Jade's body stopped shaking, and I could see her fists getting tighter.

"Jade Flame... the nobody... the destroyer... the reckless girl who died in a ruined castle... the so called fearless princess..."

"You say another word..." I muttered under my breath.

"Foolish!" Pitch kicked her right on the gut and she yelped, but before Pitch knew it Jade had his foot in both of her hands. Pitch struggled to shake her off from his foot, his attempts didn't work.

Jade took the opportunity- Her whole body lit up in majestic and deadly fire. She stood up, her hands had moved up to Pitch's neck. He screamed in agony as the fire from Jade's entire body licked his dark body. She growled as Pitch started to slap her hands away, which is a bad idea. The fire ate his hands as well.

Jade's hair was blood red, her dress was also blood red, her eyes were darker than I've ever seen and her entire body, and I mean that literally, was on fiery fire. She looks like a mini Sun.

But then her glory was stolen with a sharp but strong gust of cold and wet wind, which blew her fire away. North glared at me and I shot him an 'it wasn't even me' look. The four of us charged towards him, but unlucky for North, his boots dug in deep in the snow making him slower than the rest of us. Tooth had her tooth fairy army's ready just in time, and Bunny's boomerang shot everywhere. Pitch dodged them too easily. He kicked Jade on the gut again and she flied backwards, slamming onto a big snowy rock. She gagged, and then screeched as the rock made her body fling, face first onto the snow. Behind the rock was a steep land, where the frozen sea is. If the rock wasn't there Jade would probably fall down below.

Bunny shot egg bombs and boomerang towards Pitch but he dodged it whilst patting the fire away from his clothes. Me and North charged towards him, and I managed to have his neck on my staff's curve. I slammed him onto the snow and tried to freeze him, frosts trailed on his skin in a quite fast rate, and half of his body was frozen in a half minute.

A few minutes of choking and freezing my hands out on Pitch, I had already made him a Pitch Black popsicle.

"Good job, Jack," North complimented and I turned to him. When I turned to look at him, he suddenly gasped and looked behind me. I turned my head behind me and saw Pitch, already exchanging bombs with Bunny. I shot my head towards the popsicle, and it was empty.

"What the-" I cussed and North dragged me towards the fighting duo, leading me. As Pitch saw us coming, he smiled and turned into a shadow.

We chased him, but he was beyond fast. He moves from here to there, even Tooth and her tooth fairy army was confused. We eventually let him move all alone.

He stopped at Jade's fetal positioned body and clasped his hands together.

"Where were we, Flame girl?" Pitch asked her, smiling at us. Jade's body twitch and she moaned. "Jack..." She whispered hoarsely. I shot up at the sound of my name and tensed up.

"Are you in pain, my dear?"

She didn't respond.

I took the opportunity to attack Pitch, showering him with my strongest power. The icy blue light shot towards Pitch and threw him down towards the steep land, he clinged on the surface. His hand was just a few inches from Jade's feet, and he took one of her legs in his hands, chuckling.

"Say bye-bye to your mate," He laughed evilly.

I ran towards them, hoping that Pitch won't let go.

I was halfway to them until Pitch laughed again and released his hand, falling down to the frozen sea and dragging Jade with her.

"Jade!" The four of them behind me chromed simultaneously as I ran faster, adrenaline shot throughout my body. I reached the steep land in time to see Jade's body plummet into the frozen black sea, where Pitch had fallen into first. The water splashed and ate her entire body before slowly freezing again.

Then the memory came;

When Pitch had invited me to join him, when he had Baby Tooth in his hands, offering his hand towards my staff. When I gave him he broke it into half, my stomach twisted in pain.

When Pitch dragged Jade's body down, when her body splashed into the dark cold water, when the water drowned her body. This time my heart was the one which is in pain. Only this pain was much, much more stronger. I clutched my heart, hoping that it will reduce the pain, but I knew it won't.

I gagged in agony as the pain roamed from my heart to the rest of my body. My body faltered and I fell to the ground in a fetal position. I held my position.

It was a matter of time until I heard footsteps from behind me, and the pain reduced slowly replacing it with exhaustment and exasperation.

"She's a good girl, she had her fight and-" North started to say but I cut him off indistictively.

"SHE ISN'T DEAD YET," I cried shakily, my voice was breathy. I tried convincing myself that it wasn't real... That this was just a nightmare. I want Sandy to stop what he's doing now. NOW.

"I'm gonna miss her fire. She was definitely something," Bunny mumbled.

Like a cue, all the memories that I had of Jade flashed through my mind.

From the moment we first met, her cloak was covering most of her face, and there were shadows below her lips. The moment where she stood there with the yeti in North's room, where she opened her cloak and grinned at me for the first time, the moment she stole my heart. The moment where she lost her cloak when we were flying, and we both plummet down to the ground. The moment where we hugged for the first time in her house, when she thought she was a complete destroyer. The moment where she thought love was ridiculous, the moment where I tried convincing her, the moment of our first kiss, the feeling I had when I'm with her, the moment where we fought, the moment where she and I said I love you, the moment where she helped me fix myself, the moment where she blushed wildly, the moment that she lied to me, the moment that she said she was okay though she's not, the moment she pleaded to not hurt us...

No more grins of hers, no more blushes, no more lies, no more kisses, no more I love you's, no more of her intelligence, no more heartwarming voice of hers, no more soft touches, no more giggles, no more selflessness from her... No more of her. There's no more.

No more Jade Flame.

The tears from my eyes dropped for the first time, and when it did it didn't stop. I tried to hide my sob as someone patted my back.

"It doesn't have to be this way!" I yelled shakily between frozen tears.

"Jack, we..." North stammered for words.

"Please come back," I pleaded absently, but passionately as another tear drop from my eye and turned to drops of ice.

Anywaysssssss , what do you think about this chapter ?? Was it UNEXPECTED ? Well at first I named this chapter 'Death' but I thought I wanted to have a little surprise going on so I named it 'Victorious' instead :L Pitch was defeated , that was victorious , but .. yeaaaaaah .
