《The Fallen Council》XV

My eyes kept drifting back to the young Watcher again and again. We had been exploring this room for hours and still kept finding more ingredients and books.
"Hey, Ozinelle was it?" The Watcher asked turning around.
"You can call me Nelle," I answered giving them a shy smile.
"Tara Shadowwalker, but I rather be called Teni," The Watcher smirked.
"I see," I nodded smiling.
"Should we take a small break from work? We've been working for hours," Teni spoke out.
"Sure, I don't mind. But what about Xelqua?" I asked slightly worried that we would get in trouble if we didn't follow his orders.
"Ah, ̇/ᒷꖎᑑ⚍ᔑ doesn't mind," Teni smiled.
"Eh?" I tilted my head.
"Oh, right! You don't understand Galactic, don't you?" Teni giggled as they realized.
"No, I don't," I answered looking confused.
"Well, ̇/ᒷꖎᑑ⚍ᔑ means Xelqua," They explained.
"Ooh, I see! Thank you!" I smiled. "Galactic is the main language of Watchers, right?" I inquired.
"Mmh, we all speak Galactic naturally, but some of us learn to speak another language before Galactic. Like ᓭ⍑ᒷリ, Shen, is from The Original Nether and speaks the Nether's forgotten language. Same thing with Techno," Teni explained running their hand through their sandy blonde hair.
"I see," I nodded. "Are you from the End?" I asked carefully.
"Yep, indeed I am," They answered with a nod.
"Can you breath here normally or do you need a spell?" I continued curiously.
"Spell," They answered shortly. "I've spent most of my life with Oneus in the End, 0/10, don't recommend," They grinned before smirking playfully.
"Haha, I can believe that!" I giggled at their joke.
"Are you from the overworld then?" They asked curiously.
"Mmh, I am," I hummed. "My sister, whose name was Quinn, was born in the End," I continued from what I remembered.
"That's interesting," Teni nodded thoughtfully.
The the door was opened by the white haired Watcher. I think that his name was something like Xen.
"We have a prisoner. Zan's helper," He grinned at the word 'helper'. I'm pretty sure it was just an excuse for the word 'slave', since this Zanax sounded like she would use that word.
"Can you tell more?" I asked tilting my head.
"Her name is Kira Fang and she's apparently 20 years old and a Watcher from the Far lands," The male told us.
"Far lands?" I asked. I had no idea that people could be from there.
"Mmh, she has been born there," He said. "Also some of The Councils' members are from there," He continued smirking to my shocked face.
"What?!" I exclaimed.
"The Main Watcher Godiva and The Lead Watcher Dexter, keep those names in mind if you're interested about this topic," He spoke out running a hand through his white hair.
"I try to keep that in mind," I said nodding.
"Now, we should go meet up with that annoying thing called Kira Fang," The male muttered.
"Alright, lead the way then," I nodded.
He nodded back and started leading us somewhere else in the HQ.
I led Nelle and Teni to the prisoner and leaned against the wall as they started a conversation with her. It wasn't going really well because the prisoner didn't want to talk to anyone.
Then I felt something hit me and fell on the ground. It wasn't a physical item, just a weird feeling or something like that.

Teni and Nelle looked both worried and hurried over me. I heard the door open and knew without looking who was there.
"ᓵ𝙹ᒲᒷ ̇/ᒷリ, ∴ᒷ ⍑ᔑ⍊ᒷ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ∴𝙹∷ꖌ リ𝙹∴!" I heard Xelqua's voice.
I quickly got up from the floor and hurried after him to the 'potions and spells' room. Sherenidy was already there mixing a potion.
"ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ⍊𝙹╎↸ ╎ᓭ ∴ᒷᔑꖌ ∷╎⊣⍑ℸ ̣ リ𝙹∴," I spoke out letting my eyes turn purple.
"∴ᒷ ↸𝙹リ'ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑ⍊ᒷ ℸ ̣ ╎ᒲᒷ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ∴ᔑ╎ℸ ̣. ∴ᒷ ⍑ᔑ⍊ᒷ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ↸𝙹 ℸ ̣ ⍑╎ᓭ ⍑ᒷ∷ᒷ ᔑリ↸ リ𝙹∴," Sherenidy spoke out with pure seriousness in her voice.
"ℸ ̣ ⍑╎ᓭ ╎ᓭ ᔑ !¡⚍∷ᒷ ᓭ⚍╎ᓵ╎↸ᒷ ᒲ╎ᓭᓭ╎𝙹リ.." Xelqua sighed.

"╎ ↸𝙹リ'ℸ ̣ ꖌリ𝙹∴ ᒷ ̇/ᔑᓵℸ ̣ ꖎ|| ∴⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ╎ᓭ ᒲᔑꖌ╎リ⊣ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ⍊𝙹╎↸ ∴ᒷᔑꖌ, ʖ⚍ℸ ̣ ╎ ᓵᔑリ ⊣╎⍊ᒷ ᔑ ∴╎ꖎ↸ ⊣⚍ᒷᓭᓭ," I started. "╎ℸ ̣ ᒲ╎⊣⍑ℸ ̣ ʖᒷ !¡𝙹ᓭᓭ╎ʖꖎᒷ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ 𝙹リᒷ⚍ᓭ ℸ ̣ ∷╎ᒷ↸ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ↸𝙹 ᓭ𝙹ᒲᒷℸ ̣ ⍑╎リ⊣ ʖ⚍ℸ ̣ ᒲᒷᓭᓭᒷ↸ ⚍!¡ ʖᔑ↸ꖎ||," I told my theory.
"ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ᒲ╎⊣⍑ℸ ̣ ʖᒷ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ᓵᔑᓭᒷ," Xelqua nodded.
Sherenidy finished the potion and hurried to Xelqua.
"╎ ᓭℸ ̣ ᔑʖ ||𝙹⚍ ᔑリ↸ ||𝙹⚍ ↸∷╎リꖌ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ !¡𝙹ℸ ̣ ╎𝙹リ. ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷリ ||𝙹⚍ ↸𝙹 ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ᓭ!¡ᒷꖎꖎ ᔑリ↸ ʖ∷ᒷᔑꖌ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ ⍊𝙹╎↸, " She spoke out quickly.
"╎ ↸𝙹リ'ℸ ̣ ꖌリ𝙹∴ ╎⎓ ╎ ᓵᔑリ ↸𝙹 ℸ ̣ ⍑╎ᓭ ∴╎ℸ ̣ ⍑𝙹⚍ℸ ̣ ᔑリ|| !¡∷ᔑᓵℸ ̣ ╎ᓵᒷ, ʖ⚍ℸ ̣ ∴ᒷ ↸𝙹リ'ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑ⍊ᒷ ᔑリ|| 𝙹ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ∷ 𝙹!¡╎リ╎𝙹リᓭ," Xelqua sighed and nodded.
Sherenidy raised Deger and stabbed it on Xelqua's left arm. She started speaking an unknown language as Xelqua drank the potion. Xenex raised his hand and covered the room with a barrier making sure the spells doesn't escape and do major damage.
Xelqua started reading the spell and his mask started glowing dark purple with his wings and eyes. Sherenidy's eyes were bleeding black blood. The energy in the room was something really dangerous and powerful. One mistake and they would all be dead.
Xenex was the first to fall and the barrier shattered. Sherenidy followed him falling limp on the ground as blood poured from her mouth and eyes. Xelqua was the last to go down. The spell had been successful, but did it have an expensive price?
The Council had been just floating in the void without any hope, before a sudden light broke the darkness and they got pulled out. Suddenly they were all standing in The Main HQ, Xelqua, Sherenidy and Xenex in front of them.
Mao, Haylie, Jaylee and Godiva were the first ones to snap out of it and ran to their siblings. Alden in the other hand summoned his command screen and typed a high quality command to make everyone remember again.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS EVEN GOING ON?!" Oskari was the first one to actually speak, even tho he was shouting not speaking.
"リ╎↸||, ̇/ᒷꖎ and ̇/ᒷリ brought us back from the void. I deactivated the spell that made everyone forget about us," Alden spoke out calmly.
"We have to get them to the medical center and get the admins out of The Main HQ," Mao started giving orders.

Everything was a pure chaos. The players had forgotten about the time when they had been under the spell and were now actually confused why were they inside The Main HQ. Only the people who had known the truth during the time get to keep their memories.
Godiva took Xelqua and looked at Haylie. Quickly Haylie realized what she wanted and showed them to follow her to the medical center. Jaylee took Xenex and Mao Sherenidy and they followed after the blonde nurse.
Teni, Techno, Evior, Nelle, Hypixel, Defek and AppleG had made their way to the room and looked now shocked to see The Council.
"ᒷ↸╎ℸ ̣ ᔑ, ꖌᔑᓭᒷリ, ⍊ᔑリ, please take our visitors to the living room," Alden started.
"Got it! Please follow me," Edita started leading the visitors away.
"↸ᒷ ̇/ℸ ̣ ᒷ∷, 𝙹ᓭꖌᔑ∷╎, ||ᒷリリ||, you three know how to help at the medical center," The Main Leader continued and the Watchers nodded before leaving.
"⚍!¡ℸ ̣ 𝙹リ, ᓵ⍑ᒷℸ ̣ , ╎∷∴╎リ, ∴╎リᓭꖎ𝙹∴, go make sure the players are doing alright. And ∷ᒷᒷ↸ and リᒷ↸ go guard our prisoner," Alden continued. "And the rest of you make sure the barrier is strong enough," He gave the last order.
I leaned against the wall and watched as the visitors sat down. I recognized all of them, we were The Mains after all, we knew everything.
"How are you exactly back?" The black haired admin, Ozinelle, asked.
"Basically in short, Oneus failed a spell and made the void weak, which made it possible to do the spell. ᓭ⍑ᒷリ, ̇/ᒷꖎ and ̇/ᒷリ did it and set us free. Then ᔑꖎ↸ᒷリ returned everyone's memories that he had taken when Oneus trapped us," I explained running a hand through my blonde hair.
"HOLD UP! Did one of you take our memories? I thought it was Oneus!" The male named Evior spoke out slightly shocked, like everyone else.
"We blame Oneus since he's the one who trapped us, but in reality ᔑꖎ↸ᒷリ took the memories so people wouldn't start panicking," Kasen spoke out and turned away from the window he had been staring out of.
"ᓭ⍑ᒷ∷ᒷリ╎↸||, ̇/ᒷリᒷ ̇/ and ̇/ᒷꖎᑑ⚍ᔑ knew the truth the whole time," Van continued.
"Why didn't they tell us?" Hypixel sounded shocked.
"They weren't allowed to," I answered simply. "We couldn't risk it. There was a chance of someone else hearing it so we decided that they couldn't speak about it," I continued.
"I see," Techno muttered.
"When we were in the void we had no idea if they could save us, but now when we're here we know exactly what to do," Kasen spoke out with seriousness in his voice.
"We have to look strong, everyone depends on us," Van said letting his glare run through every of the visitors.
"We actually have plans for you guys too," I smirked. "But we're not the ones to tell you anything more about it," I continued.
"That's just bullying," Teni sighed, which made me laugh.
"Not exactly," I smirked. "But I bet that our dear Watcher-visitors would like to go back to The Original Nether, am I right?" I smirked moving my eyes to Teni and Techno.
"We are currently in exile because the Watchers are so fucked up here and in the End," Techno spoke out and Teni nodded.
"I can totally understand that," I started. "𝒫𝓁𝓊𝓈, 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒪𝓇𝒾𝑔𝒾𝓃𝒶𝓁 𝒩𝑒𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒾𝓈 𝒶𝓃 𝒶𝓂𝒶𝓏𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒸𝑒!" I added with the Nether's forgotten languages original way.
"𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓉𝑜𝑜, 𝐼 𝒸𝒶𝓃 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇 𝒾𝓉 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒶𝒸𝒸𝑒𝓃𝓉." Techno smirked.
"𝒯𝒽𝒶𝓉'𝓈 𝒸𝑜𝓇𝓇𝑒𝒸𝓉!" I answered.
"I don't think that the admin-visitors can understand what you two are talking about," Kasen pointed out.
"Ah, right," I hummed.
"Do you have any questions that we might be able to answer? It's going to take a while for everything to calm down," Van decided to speak out.
I closed the curtain leaving Xelqua sleeping alone and faced Mao, Godiva, Jaylee, Dexter, Oskari and Yenny. The all looked worried.
"What's the damage?" Mao asked tilting his head.
I took off my cloves and started explaining the situation. " ̇/ᒷリ is mostly alright. He just used too much power and passed out, also the spell affected him a bit. That's nothing we have to worry about tho, it wasn't serious. He just might be a little weak for some days," I started from the easiest one.
"How many days off?" Mao questioned.
"Seven," I answered simply.
"Alright, continue," The brunette nodded.
"Next can be ᓭ⍑ᒷリ, she won't probably wake up in a couple of days. She used a lot off dark magic, demonic magic to be exact. Plus her left arm and right leg got destroyed and have to be remade. She will have to take one month off," I explained the situation more simply than it actually was.
"What about ̇/ᒷꖎ?" Mao asked nodding.
" ̇/ᒷꖎ also uses too much dark magic and was a bit affected, he won't wake up in a couple of days. Also he's left arm got badly affected by the demonic spell and it's basically empty from the inside," I grinned knowing that it was going to be really painful. "He'll need two months off," I ended.
"I see," Mao nodded.
"So, ᓭ⍑ᒷリ will need a new left arm and right leg and ̇/ᒷꖎ will need something inside his left hand's flesh?" Dexter tilted his head.
"Exactly," I nodded.
"Thank you ⍑ᔑ||ꖎ╎ᒷ. Now I think that we should leave. Except 𝙹ᓭꖌᔑ∷╎ and ⊣𝙹↸╎⍊ᔑ can stay here and help ⍑ᔑ||ꖎ╎ᒷ," Mao spoke out. "⋮ᔑ|| and ||ᒷリ come with me and ↸ᒷ ̇/ you can go start your job," He continued.
Everyone nodded and separated to their own ways. I turned to look at Oskari and Godiva.
"We should open the doors. We can't forget about the others who might need help!" I mentioned and put on new gloves.
Oskari went to open the door and Godiva walked to the closets and started getting potions ready.
The players continued their lives without even realizing that we had been missing for a couple of months. It would be noticed only in the reports from January to April. And of course they would get injured so I had to be ready to heal and help them.
The orange haired female grinned her teeth as she spectated the Main World through her crystal.
"That bitch!" She spat.
"Na-ah, language my dear," She turned around to face her master.
"My apologies Master!" She bowed down on her knees.
"Look at that, The Council is free! Hahaha, they might be free but definitely not even close to winning!" Her master laughed maniacally.
"Should I go take care of them?" The female asked giggling.
"Not yet my dear, not yet," Her master chuckled. "But soon we'll have to start attacking them," He smirked.
"They will regret everything they've ever done~" The female giggled.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
