《The Fallen Council》XX

I turned to look at the raven haired female, just to see her get hit by dark magic burst.
"⊣𝙹↸╎⍊ᔑ!" I screamed her name as she hit the barrier.
I quickly dodged another dark magic burst that the attacker sent towards me. The attacker wasn't Oneus, but she was definitely one of his people. She had ginger hair and purple eyes, but they weren't the same shade as Watchers' eyes, which proved that she's not a Watcher. She was really powerful and used dark magic.
I summoned purple chains and sent them towards her. She easily dodged them a sent another burst of dark magic. I summoned a shield to block it.
"You killed my little puppet, didn't you?" The female spoke out.
"Kira Fang? Was she your puppet?" I spat at her.
"Mmh, Kira Fang! She was really pretty and also smart~" The female giggled. "She was so pitifull! She really thought she could be something more than a disappointment!"
"Well, she's dead now," I groaned making her roll her purple eyes.
"I don't give a shit about her! I got other things to deal with!" She giggled and sent another dark magic burst towards me.
I dodged again and quickly looked at Godiva. She was on top of the barrier with her wings in an unnatural pose, they had to be broken.
Then I saw my siblings flying towards the barrier from the inside. I smirked and faced the enemy.
"Called for some help, eh? Pathetic!" She giggled.
Soon my siblings were on my sides and Godiva had been taken back to the HQ. Now the battle could continue.
"You are Zanax, aren't you?" I turned to look at Mao kinda confused after hearing the question he asked from the enemy.
Zanax? That sounded familiar. Wait- Zanax, like Sherenidy's older sister? She definitely looked a lot like the Nether-born Main Watcher.
"Ah, looks like you know my name! It is Zanax as you said. I'm impressed!" The female, Zanax, giggled.
"You're ᓭ⍑ᒷリ's sister, right?" Mao continued.
"Mmh, that's correct!" Zanax groaned.
"Alright everyone! Remember that she is a witch!" The brunette male spoke out loudly so all of us could hear him.
A witch? That was definitely interesting.
"Let the attack begin!" The Main Leader gave the command and we all attacked.
After a couple of minutes fighting, I realized that the witch wad definitely powerful and she seemed to have some kind of plan.
I dodged another blast and turned to see Blake and Upton next to me. I quickly looked at the two admins making sure the weren't badly injured. They both seemed to be perfectly fine, which was a relieve to me. I couldn't even imagine if one of my younger siblings got hurt badly, Godiva's wings breaking was already painful to watch.

I glanced to the battlefield and saw Leslie, Irwin and Van dodging the blasts, while Reed and Ned tried to harm our attacker. She seemed to be easily dodging all of our attacks, which made me really annoyed.
"You're all pretty weak!" The witch giggled sending another magic bursts towards us. This time I didn't manage to dodge it. I just felt a horrible pain in my right shoulder as the magic burned it.
I grinned and grabbed my shoulder. It had definitely hurt. I saw Kasen on my side.
"ᓵ⍑ᒷ, go to the HQ, we'll take care of this," He said with seriousness in his usually childish voice. "You've already done enough for today," He gave me a warm smile.
"Alright, I'll go," I sighed. "You all better be careful!" I continued.
Kasen gave me thumbs up as he turned back to the fight. I glanced at my siblings one more time before turning around and flying through the barrier.
I stormed out of the portal and almost ran over someone. I just heard screams as I quickly made my way through the people in the Portal Hub. I had to hurry to the medical center. I wasn't allowed to fight but I wanted to at least help Haylie and Yenny with the injured ones.
I got outside of the Portal Hub and continued running towards the HQ. I didn't really pay attention to the people around me, until I passed by someone that caught my attention.
A female, white hair and really pale skin. White cloak with the hood on. I thought that I heard her whisper my name.
I quickly stopped and turned around, but she was nowhere to be seen. I glared at the crowd, but I didn't see anyone even close to her. Strange..
Then I remembered where I was going and quickly continued towards the HQ. I made my way through the open front doors and turned left.
I saw Sherenidy sitting on the table in the other side off the room. Yenny was behind her looking for something from the closet. Also Topaz was there mixing a potion, looked like Sherenidy was teaching her.
I made my way to the three youngest Watchers off The Council and Sherenidy turned to look at me.
"⍑ᒷ|| ̇/ᒷꖎ" She greeted me in Galactic with a nod.
"Hey, has anyone gotten injured?" I asked with worry in my voice.
"ᓵ𝙹↸ only. Her wings are broken and she's right now knocked out," The female explained with seriousness mixed with worry in her voice as she ran her metallic-hand trough her pumpkin orange hair.
"ᓭ⍑ᒷリ," The lavender haired Watcher called the younger.
Sherenidy turned to look at her and the potion she was making. "Did you add the gunpowder?"

"||ᒷᓭ, ∴⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ↸𝙹 ╎ ↸𝙹 リ𝙹∴?" Topaz asked tilting her head.
"Add the glowstone and mix them together carefully," Sherenidy explained.
The lavender haired Watcher nodded and went to the closet starting to look for glowstone.
"I assume that ⍑ᔑ||ꖎ╎ᒷ is taking care of ⊣𝙹↸╎, right?" I tilted my head and the pumpkin haired Watcher nodded.
"Yeah, she'll be alright," She spoke out. "But it's never pleasing to see the others get hurt," She continued sadly.
"You three had us all worried when we came back and found you lying unconscious on the floor," Yenny reminded as she turned around to look at us.
"At least we did it for you guys!" Sherenidy smiled innocently.
"Alright, at least it wasn't anything absolutely serious," Yenny sighed running a hand through her blonde hair.
We all turned around as we heard a curtain open and saw Haylie come out of the little resting space. She walked to us and started going through the closets.
"How is ⊣𝙹↸╎ doing?" I asked from the blonde.
"She is going to be alright, she'll have to take a couple of weeks off from work though," Haylie explained as she pulled new pair of latex gloves on her hands.
"ᓵ⍑ᒷℸ ̣ came through the barrier," Sherenidy mentioned and I turned to look at her to see that she had her Watcher screen in front of her.
"||ᒷリ?" Haylie turned to look at the younger blonde.
"On it!" Yenny smiled and gradually "flied" to the door to wait for the injured brother.
"ℸ ̣ 𝙹!¡ᔑ⨅, you can come with me to help ⊣𝙹↸╎," Haylie said as she picked up a couple of potions.
Topaz nodded picking up the potion she had just made and followed the nurse back to the injured sister's resting space.
"We can wait here if our help is needed," My mentor said running a hand through her pumpkin hair.
"Alright," I nodded.
I turned to look at the door and saw Chet walk in. He had a bad looking magic burn in his right shoulder. Yenny quickly examined him and brought him to us.
"I don't recognize this magic," She said looking confused.
"Witchcraft.. I should have seen that coming," Sherenidy mumbled.
"Was the attacker Zanax?" I asked carefully gritting my teeth.
"That's what ᒲᔑ𝙹 called her and she admitted that it was her name," Chet nodded.
"That bitch," Sherenidy mumbled. "Well,
||ᒷリ would you let me help him? I know how to treat Witchcraft burns," She asked from the blonde female.
"Go on," Yenny nodded. "The 5th resting space is free, you can go there," She pointed out.
Sherenidy nodded and jumped off the table starting to lead the injured brother to the empty resting space.
I pulled out my Watcher screen and looked at the barrier's crossing information. Soon I saw Ned's name pop to the screen.
"リᒷ↸ crossed the barrier," I said looking at the blonde.
She nodded, "Alright."
I watched as she made her way to the door to wait for the injured brother to arrive. I was about to look away, but I saw her tense and quickly turn around to look at the direction of the meeting room.
I walked to her and looked at the direction she was looking at. There was something strange, the same female I had seen before. She had her back turned to us. Then she turned around and disappeared.
"What the fuck..." Yenny whispered.
"You saw that too, right?" I mumbled in shock.
"Yeah," She nodded.
We looked at each other and I noticed that she looked really shocked too.
"I saw her earlier as I was walking there.. There's something really strange about her.." I spoke out quietly.
"She makes me feel uneasy," Yenny whispered.
Then we both turned around as we remembered that the place was public, but there weren't any other people. We looked at each other.
"We have to tell the others when everyone comes back from the fight," I said quietly.
Yenny nodded. We were both still horrified. The female didn't seem like something we wanted to deal with. There was something really strange about her.
We both almost jumped as we heard someone walk to the HQ and turned around to see Ned. He had a deep cut in his chest. Yenny quickly started leading him to an empty resting space. Before she closed the curtain behind her, she gave me one last worried look.
" ̇/ᒷꖎ?" I turned around to see Meadow leaning against the stairs.
"Hey ᒲᒷᔑ, I have a mission for you," I spoke out and the admin's face light up.
"What is it?" She asked with excitement in her voice.
"Go and get me book about lost spirit or lost souls," I told her.
"I see, I'll go see what I can find!" She said and quickly ran away. She seemed to be really excited to get a mission since The Rookies didn't really get them at the moment.
I turned to look outside and I swore that I saw the female standing in the crowd. This wasn't good. Looked like we were going to have a new problem soon. She looked like a lost soul and they were never a good sign.

New kingdoms expand as the old decay. This is a story of those who lived in the times of change. Dear Reader, Thank you for stopping by! This is my first attempt at writing something of more substantial length and would be incredibly grateful to receive feedback and advice. The plan is to post at least a chapter a week and more if I find time. Also, in order to not disappoint any expectations; the story plays in a fictional world reminiscent of the real world 17th to 19th century with some supernatural elements, but no obvious magic or game-like system.

The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Taking this as a sign that he was destined to rule over others and become the new king of this land, he poisoned his father, killed his elder brother, and embarked on the path to greatness, taking advantage of a demonic invasion to consolidate power and harvest the abilities of others in a cruel and bloody fashion. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
