《Dare: Love within the student council》Satisfiably hanging

Yedam entered the Kings hideout and went straight to the sofa. It was obvious on his expression that he was stressed. He had to deal with the demonic high energy japanese cousins in class while he needs to deal with Kim Doyoung for his council duties.
He closed his eyes to try and catch a wink of sleep but his mind is just full of thoughts. He groaned at the rampant mental activity, "Damn Lee Byounggon. I'M GONNA TAKE REVENGE ONE OF THESE DAYS"
Yedam stood up from the sofa ruffling his hair in annoyance. He inhaled deeply as he tried to pacify the bubbling anger inside. He breathed out and walked towards the piano.
His long bony hands tickled the ivory keys of the piano lightly producing a soft sound to reverbrate. Yedam's way of relaxing has always been through music.
The black haired senior stretched his fingers and with a smirked started to play the piano. Yedam smiled as he missed the playing the piano, Asahi always does it for them so he became the audience. Maybe because he was alone, he found himself lost in the piece and imagined the sight a bumblebee has during its flight.
Kim Doyoung was looking for Yedam. He had recently spoken with the vice principal and had received the task that the student council is to prepare a welcoming party for the freshmen.
He had meet with Haruto earlier who is still not on speaking terms with him but was with Jeongwoo who acted as the bridge. Ruto said that he'd probably on their hideout sleeping, stressed.
Doyoung nodded and bid them farewell as he crossed towards the old building. The student council vice principal chuckled as he remembered how Jeongwoo was slowly becoming Haruto's caretaker. It reminds him of the old times. When he was still allowed to care for his best friend.
As he approached the old music room nearer, he heard the faint sound of piano. He didn't need to hear the whole song to know what it was, Rimsky-Korsakov Flight of the Bumblebee. The first classical piece that he and Yedam learned together.
Doyoung stood frozen and stopped at the wall near the door. He closed his eyes and listened to the piece. Yedam was playing it, he just knew. Memories about their childhood, back when they were struggling to learn the piece together, rush in and a small nostalgic smile appeared on his face. He can play it all alone now, huh. They always played it together. Doyoung's smile dropped and was changed into a frown. He breathed in and waited a few moments before he opened the door. He don't want Yedam to know that he was listening.

"Bang Yedam ssi" Everytime he called Yedam by this, he always felt that the last of their connection are slowly being cut.
Yedam who was resting his cheeks on the wood covering the piano keys glared at the figure who opened the door. He immediately sat up and his poker face resurfaced. "Why are you here?"
"I was told that you would be here. I need to talk to you about student council work" Doyoung declared without stepping inside the room, the Kings teritorry. No one, except for the invited, can enter the room aside from the Kings member.
"Right" Yedam stood up and sighed. He creased his brows and walked towards the vice president. Doyoung took a step backwards allowing Yedam to pass through. The student council president stopped in front of Doyoung he reminded, "Next time when you need something, just text me. Don't come here"
"I don't have your number" Doyoung silently answered. Yedam stared at the vice president and sighed. "Don't act like I'm bullying you. Give me your phone"
Doyoung fished his phone out and handed it to Yedam. The president took it and typed in his number in the phone saving it as Bang Yedam. Yedam eyed the owner of the phone and said, "Text me for student council duties only. I use this number for business. And, you should consider changing your phone. It makes you look poor"
"Its still working, none of your business" Doyoung defended. This was the phone you got for me.
"Right" Yedam shrugged and walked towards the student council office. Doyoung followed closely as he explained what the school vice president had ordered.
As soon as both of them entered the student council office, they saw Asahi silently eating his lunch while Haruto and Jeongwoo was sharing lunch together. Yedam raised his brows at the sight. "A new meal ticket, Haru?"
Haruto nodded as he inserted the kimchi inside his mouth. Jeongwoo frowned as he saw that Haruto was messy eater, he immediately took out a tissue and handed it over to the japanese. "Wipe your mouth"
Yedam chuckled at the sight. "Jeongwoo ah, you don't need to take care of this stupid baby"
Jeongwoo raised his head towards Yedam after Haruto wiped his mouth clean and answered, "My conscience won't let me live if I make him work without feeding him"
"You're planning to abuse me, Woo?" Haruto pouted, slightly glaring at his new found friend and meal ticket.
"I'm planning to teach you how to use your talents and make sure you dont do idiotic things" replied the treasurer. Asahi who was silently eating stared at the junior students and blinked as he noted, "In Haruto's dictionary that's abuse. But since your feeding him, you have the right to"

Yedam's eyes trailed further on the corner of the office and saw a figure sleeping peacecully at the couch. He stared at Asahi and asked, ,"His highness is sleeping?"
"He caught colds. I've repeatedly told him to change immediately after being soaked in the pool yesterday. He just wont listen"
"You can escort him home, I'll take over your duties"
"Junkyu hyung's gonna take him home. He needs to receive a scolding."
"So that's why you called Junkyu hyung immediately earlier, huh?" Keita entered the room with Junkyu behind him. Kim Junkyu greeted everyone and immediately walked towards the boy who was softly grunting while asleep with a worried face.
"Mashi, come on. It's time to go home" Junkyu nudged the sleeping japanese softly. Mashiho groaned and blinked his eyes open and weakly adjusted himself to sit on the sofa.
"Kyu?" Mashiho snaked his arms around the other's waist and buried his face on Junkyu's chest. The tall college student took the opportunity to feel the curly haired japanese's temperature by placing his hand on Mashiho's forehead. As soon as he felt the japanese's temperature, he frowned.
"Mashi, you're burning up. We'll visit a hospital before we go home." Junkyu decided that it would be best to have Mashiho checked up.
"But"
"No buts, you baby. I'll scold you later once your okay" Junkyu kissed Mashiho's cheeks temporarily forgetting that they have audience. Mashiho pouted obviously displeased that he had to go to the hospital. He hates visiting the hospital.
The couple exited the room. Keita sighed making Yedam stare at him, "Are you escaping from your guards again, Kei?"
"Kotaro has been nagging me nonstop to join him with his training" Keita eyed Haruto and smiled. "You best try to stay away from him. He's looking for a sparring partner to test the mastery of his new moves"
"I always do my best to avoid Yoshi and Kotaro hyung. But, I'll twice the effort"
Asahi sighed as he heard Haruto's declaration. Doyoung stared at the door and saw the transfer student on his class leaning on the door. He called, "Jaehyuk ssi, anything we can help you with?"
"Hi, Doyounggie! I'm here to get Asahi"
"Right. Let's go" Asahi stood up from his seat and walked towards the transfer student leaving the room. Keita and Yedam stared at each other. Haruto noticed the looks and explained, "Jaehyuk hyung is Asahi hyung's food buddy"
"But isn't he a son of a millionaire?" Keita asked. Haruto nodded and smiled. "He somehow befriended Asahi hyung and they agreed with some terms. I don't know the details though"
"Asahi is the total ninja, huh?" Yedam sniggered as he high fived Keita. Jeongwoo leaned towards Haruto and asked softly, "What's a food buddy?"
Haruto blinked at the question and grinned as he replied, "Someone like me and you sharing same food. No, since you cook for me rather than sharing you should be my food mommy?"
Jeongwoo frowned at the new nickname and rebutted, "Can I disown you as a son?"
Keita and Yedam chuckled at Jeongwoo's question. Keita approached the table where the second years are eating and patted Jeongwoo on his shoulder, "If you take Haruto as a responsibility once unfortunately you cant escape it by the next time. But, you can use him with all your heart. If he refuses, tell me and I'll end him"
"The disrespect I get from this crew" Haruto frowned and ruffled his head with his hands. Jeongwoo sighed and produced a comb from his pocket.
"Your so easy to bully. And don't mess up the hair that you ask me to arrange. Gosh! Stay still" Jeongwoo glared at the japanese who did as was told and Jeongwoo immediately started to set Haruto's hair in place again. Everyone in the room stared increduosly at the sight.
Keita grinned and thought of something, "Haru, I think its time for you to be independent."
Haruto shivered as he saw Keita's smile. It was too bright and too cheerful and that always mean one thing. MISFORTUNE. Jeongwoo finished his work and stared at the japanese who gulpes nervously. Keita chuckled as he fished his phone and dialed a number while leaving the room.
"You okay? You look pale" Haruto stared at Jeongwoo who looked at him in worry. He nodded his head and said "I just somehow felt that something bad would happen"

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
