"When will I see you again?" I ask David longingly.
He sighs and thinks... "I'm in Central London until the end of the month. Come back to Brixton in May won't you?" He smiles to me and holds my hands.
"Have fun with Angie and your son..." I say avoiding eye contact.
"My darling, it'll probably just be arguments, or her shouting at me. Anyway, half the time I'll be working in my studio."
"Here," I pass him a piece of paper with characters on it. "This is my number for home, so if you need me just call. And my address is on there if you want to write to me." He kisses my cheek once I finish my sentence.
"I'll miss you." He smirks to me.
"Will you though." I roll my eyes.
"Of course I will! You know I will, little rebel." He gets a cigarette out of his trench coat pocket and lights it, a David Bowie habit. "What are you doing about Kevin?" David asks me through his teeth.
"He'll live in my house until I get back, just so we can cool off. You could say we're on a break at the minute..." I gulp but then smirk at the handsome rockstar.
"As long as he doesn't hurt you." He rests his hand on my cheek and strokes it softly.
"Thank you David, for everything. Ever since I've met you, you've made me even happier."
"Like wise my darling girl." He kisses me and I kiss back.
There we were. In the street, people walking past, not realising they were passing one of the most famous people of our time. Lost in thought and drowning in being in love, I'm startled when a car horn beeps next to us.
"That's my ride." David says sorrowfully close to my face. "I'm sorry I have to go little rebel."
"I understand," I sigh back and David gets in the car. He winds down the window and I step forward.

"Stay safe," he mutters.
I lean down and lean my head slightly forward so he can give me one last peck before he goes. "I love you..." I whisper.
He smiles a crooked smile to me. "I love you too." He whispers, gives me one last lingering kiss, and the car drives off out of sight and I wave the car goodbye.
loved
How did this all happen so quick? I was just a fan! Now he's in love with me...! Will he divorce Angie to be with me...? Will I be the new mother to his son?
Many ideas whirled through my head and I walked myself to the station with a big suitcase. I had told Ellen I was going home so she'd have to deal with Kevin. I also called Abby to tell her I was on my way home, and in return she said she had news to tell me.
****
"Oh welcome home sweetie!" My mother kisses my forehead.
"I'll take that for you Ros." My dad offers to take my suitcase, most of it was washing.
"Thanks guys." I mumble.
"We're so glad you're home!" My mother says with a big smile.
"I'm not." Henry says rolling his eyes.
"Oh shut up and come here Henry!" I open my arms up and he smiles and runs into them.
My 11 year old brother had grown a lot since the last time I was home, and then it hit me, I had missed home .
"I'm going to go to my room, I'll help with dinner if you want mum?"
"Don't be silly Ros! Just relax! You're probably exhausted from your coursework!" Mum smiles and taps my arm.
A flood of guilt smashed me in the face... I hadn't told mum and dad about me being kicked out of Uni... I'd have to tell them at some point, but when?
"Uh- yeah." I mutter walking upstairs.

I open my door and see all my David Bowie posters, I smirk at them, and walk towards my favourite one, he's leaning on his microphone looking deep into my eyes and all those who had the poster.
"I miss you already." I mutter cooly.
****
A couple weeks later, my parents and I were sat around the kitchen table. My dad reading his daily newspaper, my mother knitting... The radio was on, luckily it was the charts.
"I have something to tell you both." I say quietly and I turn the radio down slightly.
"What is it honey?" My mother asks still knitting.
"Something you won't be happy with..." I begin to get shaky with my words.
My dad flings his newspaper down onto the table with an angry face. "Rosalind Chester if you're pregnant you can pack your bags!"
I smirk, the only man who I'd allow that to happen with would be with Bowie. "No, no." My smirk drops. "The reason I've come home so suddenly is because university has kicked me out because my work wasn't as good as they had hoped..."
"What a waste!" My dad shouts. "It's because of all the distractions down there! Kevin is one!" I roll my eyes, he was a distraction, he was a .
"I hope you're not blaming me here!" My mother shouts to my dad.
"Well, you were the one to tell him to write to Ros!"
"Wait what? He told me he wrote to me because he missed me and me...? Are you telling me I've been living with a man who doesn't even love me?"
For once mum and dad have nothing to say...
It all made sense now, Kevin barely ever said 'I love you', we never did nice things together, he always ditched me for his friends... We just didn't love each other...! Now I understood how David felt, him and Angie didn't love each other, but they were stuck with each other...
"Then why make him live with me?" I mutter hurt by my parents.
"Well sweetie, we didn't think you'd make it through uni anyway because of how difficult it is...! So we thought, as plan B, once you're out, Kev proposes and you live with him!"
"What, and die an unhappy woman surrounded by children I didn't want till I was at least 30? Are you ?!" I shout angrily at them. "I thought you supported me!"
Before my parents can say another word, the radio presenter says something that makes all the tension disappear.
"Ladies and Gentleman, this is David Bowie's new song called , which was released just ago!"
Rebel Rebel begins to play and I hear the guitar rifts that I once read in the pub. His gorgeous voice begins to sing the lyrics and my heart melts.
My mouth curls into a large grin and I can feel the invisible butterflies leave my body. He turned song into his new record...! The song wrote! The song we wrote !
I started singing along, remembering the lyrics and start moving my body to the beat. I felt alive...!
Once the song had ended I look to my parents who have shock written over their faces.
"Honey... That song has just been released... How on this planet did you know the lyrics...?" My mother asks with wide eyes.
"Me and David wrote it together." I smile thinking of the memory.
"She's lost the plot!" My dad shouts in horror.
I smirk at them, soon enough it would be May, and I would see my rockstar again, this song was totally my new favourite by a long shot, and the best thing was, I knew it would be a huge hit for not just David Bowie, but for me too...

Primal Adaptation
The story of a little soul that ends up tangled in the games and bets of entities that utilize beasts of any primordial planet as a game avatar to make the Perfect Primal. This tale is not only its story because it will also share its destiny with the entity that will help it in its journey, and together they will rise from their particular situations one way or another. Primal Adaptation is a history with some RPG elements in it, but the MC can't look at a status screen or skill page because it's a beast through and through. I have implemented an evolution system for all the creatures of this story, where they grow or mutate depending on what they consume. In this tale, you won't find a Deus ex machina to give the protagonist power-ups. Everything must be learned and comprehended before its use unless it's something it gets immediately, or the abilities get understood by instinct. In essence, it is survival and gambit for opportunities, be it from one MC or the other.
