《Trip to The Homeland》Miraculous Chapter 2

It was the day of the trip, and Marinette was double checking her bag just in case she might have forgotten something.
"Phone, check. Wallet, check. Jacket, check. Book, check. Charger, check. Pillow, check. Purse and Tikki, check. Clothes for the next two weeks, they're in the luggage, so check. Well, I guess that's everything, right Tikki?" She received no answer.
"Tikki?" She asked once more. She looked inside her purse where the kwami would usually be. And there she was, sleeping soundly in her purse. Marinette giggled at the little sleeping kwami, the poor little thing was exhausted after the long night of packing, as well as meeting Chat Noir for their nightly patrol. During that time she had told Chat Noir that she would be gone for two weeks. Well, what a coincidence that Chat was also disappearing for two weeks.
It was a good thing that there weren't that much akuma attacks lately. So, Paris would be perfectly safe without their heroes for just two weeks.
Anyway, Marinette was already done fixing her luggage, and her dad helped her bring it to the van. After that, Tom and Sabine Dupain-Cheng drove their daughter to the airport.
Marinette and her parents were saying their goodbyes when suddenly her mother gave her an envelope.
"Mom, what's this for?"
"It's a letter for your nana. When you see her could you give this to her?" Marinette was about to protest, but her mother begged her with pleading eyes.
"Alright mama, I'll give it WHEN I see her," Sabine smiled at her daughter thankfully.
It was finally time to go in, and Marinette had to say goodbye to her parents.
"Now you, young lady. You be careful alright," Tom told Marinette sternly.
"Don't worry papa, I'll be fine. I'll be back before you guys know it," Marinette said, trying to reassure her parents. They all hugged each other one last time before Marinette went into the airport to meet the rest of the class.
Marinette was finally inside the airport. She looked around for her class until she found them.
"Alya!" She waved to her bestfriend. Alya noticed her and waved back. Marinette walked towards the group.
"We gonna go to China girl!" Alya said excitedly. Marinette laughed at her besfriend.

"Uh oh, looks like a storms comin'," Marinette looked at Nino suspiciously.
"What do you mean Nino?" He pointed at the entrance of the airport and there they saw Chloe Bougeoise. "You call that a storm? I'd call that a richly dressed trash can," Alya and Nino glared at each other, but then a few seconds later they both laughed their butts off.
Chloe was approaching the group. The whole group gaped at Chloe. But... It wasn't awe written on their faces but shock. Chloe had a mountain of bags on a small cart trailing behind her, and as always poor Sabrina was pushing that cart.
Nino cleared his throat, "wow Chloe, all these bags just for two weeks?" Chloe had a face full of shock and disgust.
"Ugh, of course not." The whole class stiffened even Ms. Bustier, "These are just for week one. The ones for week two are still in the limo." The whole class groaned.
She looked at Sabrina,"Sabrina. Why don't you be a dear and grab them for me."
"Of course, anything for you Chloe." And with that Sabrina left to get Chloe's bags.
Now only one person was missing. Adrien. Marinette was slightly panicking inside. 'What if he's not coming? What if his father didn't let him? Ohhhh nooooo big problem.' Marinette was having a break down, but as if on cue Adrien entered the airport wih his bodyguard trailing behind him.
Nino had a huge smile on his face, "Dude! You made it!" They both did a fist bump.
"I know! It wasn't easy to convince father to let me come, but I did manage to do it." He turned to Marinette.
"Hi," Marinette blushed.
"H-hey," Adrien was about to say something when a loud squeal interrupted them.
"ADRIKINS!" Adrien was tempted to run away, but he didn't. "Hey Chloe," Chloe grabbed his arm, and looked behind him and saw that he just brought one luggage and a backpack like everybody else.
"Um... Adrien, where is the rest of your bags? Are they still in the car cause I can let Sabrina get them for you,"
"Chloe these are my bags," Chloe looked surprised.
"Ohhhh," for a moment Chloe was speechless, but she tried to cover it up, "Well, that's nice but it's nothing compared to moi." Adrien looked at Chloe's pile. Face full of shock.

Once Chloe was satisfied with Adrien's reaction, she flipped her hair and left. Marinette shook her head knowing that Chloe thought the wrong thing about Adrien's reaction.
Marinette's POV
After the Chloe fiasco it was finally time to get on the plane, but before that ms. Bustier appointed us our partners, and guess who I got. Adrien! Of course Chloe threw a tantrum and argued that she was supposed to be partnered with Adrien, but ms. Bustier didn't allow it.
Adrien and I were assigned to a window seat, and being the sweet gentleman he is, he gave me the seat near the window.
Once we were already flying I looked outside the plane's window only to see clouds. After a few minutes of cloud gazing I heard a soft snore. I looked beside me just to see Adrien fast asleep. All of a sudden I felt sleepy too. I leaned my head on the pillow I brought and fell asleep almost instantly.
Alya's POV
I just woke up from a nap, when I looked at the seats beside me. MARINETTE AND ADRIEN WERE SLEEPING! TOGETHER! I know that isn't a big deal, but Marinette was dozing off on his shoulder. THE ADRIEN AGRESTE'S SHOULDER! (AN:the pic above) So, I took out my phone to take a picture of this adorable moment. I just had to take a picture of the two lovebirds. I swear those two are perfect for each other.
Adrien's POV
There she was looking at the beautiful sight of Paris with me on a chilly night on top of a roof.
"It's beautiful, isn't it."
She looked at me and I gazed into her eyes that looked like stars on a night sky. She looked beautiful.
She giggled,"Thank you."
"What?"
"You said that I was beautiful, you must've been thinking out loud."
I smiled,"I guess I was my lady." I leaned and she did the same. Our lips were millimeters apart until she placed her index and middle finger on my lips.
"Excuse me passengers, but please buckle your seat belts. We will be landing soon," I looked at my lady. Her voice turned manly!
"My lady, what happened to your voice?" Just then she started to fade slowly. I tried to grab her, but she kept on slipping between my fingers like air.
Once she disappeared completely The scenery started to become foggy and I kept hearing Chloe's voice everywhere asking me to marry her accompanied with the manly voice I heard come out of my lady.
I opened my eyes sweating slightly. I looked at my surroundings. Then, I remembered, the class was on a trip to China. I sighed in relief, but that's when I felt something on my shoulder. Marinette. She was fast asleep and she looked adorable. 'Stop Adrien you're inlove with ladybug remember?!'
'But she looks so adorable,' another part of me argued.
I woke her up since we were about to land.
"Mmm, what's happening?" She sat up straight and stretch her legs a bit. I told her to buckle up since we were about to land.
Her eyes widened.
"We're landing?"
"Yep,"
Marinette's POV
"We're landing?"
"Yep," I looked out the window to see land instead pf clouds.
"China," I murmured.
"China," I said a bit louder. I looked back at Adrien.
"We're finally here," I grinned until my jaw ached. He smiled back. While I started to buckle up my seatbelt.
We were outside of the airport waiting for our ride. Once it was here we placed all our bags in even Chloe's pile fit. We started moving, and Ms. Bustier told us that we would be visiting the school we are gonna interact with first before we go to the inn.
We finally arrived at the school. I was to busy looking at the scenery to notice the school's name, but once we entered, we were greeted by a short welcoming show filled with dancing dragons, acrobatics, and traditional chinese dances. Once they finished I saw a few similar faces.
"No. Way." A few of them gaped at me. I sensed they recognized me too. I saw a familiar boy, about my age walked towards the class.
When he was finally close enough to see me clearly. He opened his mouth.
"Marinette?"
