《Road Trip - L.H》3

"You going, Carter?" I turned to see Luke stood leaning against the lockers next to mine.
"Where?"
"On the road trip"
"Oh. Yeah. Are you?"
"Yeah. Mum thinks it'll be a good bonding experience"
"So did mine"
"I believe this is the most civilised conversation we've had"
"Not my fault you're a dick"
"Such a bitch"
"Guys, we booked the car. Well cars" We turned to see Calum and Mia walking towards us, followed by Michael.
"So you went with the two car idea?" Luke asked.
"Only because no seven seaters were available"
"You and me are going in different cars" I told Luke.
"I was thinking the same thing"
"Good"
"Good"
"We are not doing the whole good good fine fine thing"
"Fine"
"You irritate me to the max"
****
"So Cal and I have planned out the whole route-" Mia started.
"Do you guys not have anything else to do with your time?" Michael asked.
"This is important" Mia said. "Plus we all know how much Maddie'll kill us if she doesn't know what's happening"
"True" I agreed.
"So we're going to start in Sydney obviously, then we'll go to Melbourne and onto Adelaide. It's going to be really fun. We've found at least three motels, hotels or B&Bs in each place we plan to stop to give us loads of choice. We've got the exact route figured out with possible detours for events, sight seeing, whatever activity we want to do. The whole driving part will take roughly 16 and a half hours so we'll have to drive either an hour and a half for 11 days or two hours a day for eight days. It kind of depends on how things go but considering we have to get back to home and we were going for around two weeks we should probably do at least two hours a day for eight days, more if we can to give more time to stop in places"

"Can you write this down for me?" I asked.
"I'll email you all a copy of the plans Cal and I did"
"Thanks"
"Any clubs planned into this itinerary you've created?" Michael asked.
"Not currently but Ash agreed to coming and he's getting us the beer" Ash was the oldest out of all of us being 19 whilst Mia, Michael and Calum are all 18. Luke and I are the youngest being 17 since he was born in July and myself June. Since school ends early this year with study leave and our exams being done by the middle of May we can go on the road trip earlier, sadly Luke and I are still 17 and unable to go in any club.
"How are we going to pay for all this? You guys need to work out some prices next" Luke said.
"My dad agreed to pay for renting the cars and any accommodation so all we need is money for food and shopping" Mia's dad was rich. And I mean millionaire rich.
"Is he sure?"
"Of course. Anything for his only child" She said smirking. She tended to use her father's wealth to her advantage and being an only child didn't hinder her either.
"To Mia's dad" Michael held his water bottle up slightly. We all did the same, chuckling to ourselves before chorusing Michael.

A Sinner's Eden
The Earth of the future is united under a single government, but not all things are well. The shape of the playing field may be changed, but the powerful still rule the weak. And those who do not conform with the rest of society are exiled to another world. A world that not even the technology of the future managed to tame.It should have been humanity's New World but ended up as nothing more than a penal colony. A place where the exiled are sent to die. Motivated by revenge, Magnus sets out on a quest to bring his own justice to his enemies. For that purpose, he is willing to go further than most others. But then he learns that if he truly wishes to change things, he can only find his answers beyond the gate. Having lived most of her life as an exile, Astra is a woman of few interests aside from survival and climbing the ranks of her clan.To achieve those goals, she certainly won't be squeamish when a chance literally falls into her lap, or will she? ——————————————————————————————— I am trying to go with a survival/medieval setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on medieval technology where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic. ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online. This story is currently only available here on Royal Road or on my Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/bkwrm196/posts?filters%5Btag%5D=Soul%20Core%20Online

Zombies
This is one of three stories that I am offering as a test run. If you like it, then I'll choose to continue working on it. I have a whole plot line ready to explore! What can I say, I'm a sucker for rebirth, regression, and transmigration stories. This one is a regression story. The main character get's yeeted back in the past, to where the end began. Read on tortured souls as I do my best to break the weak, and sooth those who don't have a soul to break. I spent some time trying to make a story that explores all the gritty situations a resident of the apocalypse would encounter. Unfortunately, I do struggle with pace. I get just as impatient as you when I can't get to the next bloody encounter. But I despise OP characters, and I really wanna stop and explore the fascinating death of civilization. I write this in hopes of making a main character who get's to be the bad-ass I can't be, without, you know, skipping the good stuff.
