"Wanna go running with me?"
"Now?"
"Now"
"I'm not up"
"Get up"
"Where are we going?"
"The hill behind the house"
"To the hill or up the hill?"
"Up it"
"Urgh"
"Come on, don't leave me by myself"
"Fine" I got out from under the covers and grabbed a sports bra and some shorts I'd brought in case. I quickly changed before meeting Luke out in the living room. I pulled on my trainers before pulling my hair into a messy ponytail and opening the front door. "Let's go"
***
"I'm dead" Luke complained as he led on the grass at the top of the hill.
"Same" I collapsed down next to him, breathing heavily.
"That was a good run"
"My body aches. We've got to go back now though"
"Going down's the easy part"
"Let's walk back"
"What's the fun in that?"
"I'm tired"
"I'll carry you. Work out my arms at the same time" He smirked and winked.
"I'll walk, thanks"
"So, what's up?"
"Way to make it awkward"
"I'm serious"
"Nothing's up, Luke"
"The sky is"
"I will hit you"
"I'll hit on you"
"Oh my god, stop"
"Anyway, what's up with us is what I was getting to"
"I don't know"
"Me neither"
"Good talk" I said as I stood up. He copied as he rolled his eyes. "We should get back before Mia panics that we need to leave and we're not there" He nodded and we began to walk back in silence. Eventually we arrived back at the cabin.
"Hey" He said, grabbing my wrist to stop me from going up to the porch. I turned to face him. "When we get back home, do you, uh, want to go out?"
"Is Luke Hemmings asking me on a date?"

"I believe I am"
"Sure, sounds fun" I said before going into the house, leaving him stood there. I entered the living room where everyone else was sat. Luke followed in after me.
"Hey, we were just discussing leaving and where we're going" Mia said. We sat down with them.
"We were thinking about just going straight home. This trip's kind of getting boring plus we've still got a couple of days getting home" Ashton said.
"Sounds good" Luke replied and I nodded.
"We're going to leave tomorrow instead. They said we can stay here another night and we'll stop in that little town we came through on the way tomorrow night" We all nodded.
"So, what shall we do for the rest of the day?"
"There's a club in the town nearby we could go to tonight"
"That none of us can get into" Luke said.
"We could just have a bonfire or something outback" I suggested.
"Yeah, and a barbecue" Ash said.
"That's what we're doing then" Mia confirmed.
"Have we got any food left to cook?"
"Don't think so"
"Why don't we go shopping?"
"You guys can" Mia said. "Maddie and I will stay back here" They nodded and we all dispersed throughout the house.
**
"So what's happening with you and Luke?" Mia asked as I took a seat on her and Calum's bed. I'd just had a shower to freshen up after the run and the guys had all left to get food.
"We're good"
"Not what I asked"
"We're just going with the flow I guess"
"You hated each other two weeks ago"
"Strongly disliked"
"That's the definition of hate"
"We're getting on well"
"And making out constantly"
"Not constantly. We're going out when we get home"
"On a date?" I nodded. "This is the best thing ever. You haven't had a boyfriend in ages"

"We're back" I heard Luke shout from the hallway.
"Let's go" We left the room and went into the kitchen where they'd moved to. I walked over to Luke and pecked his lips before standing beside him.
"Is that my hoodie?" He asked, looking down at the oversized black hoodie that was swamping me.
"Yeah"
"It's huge on you"
"I know but it's warm"
"You look cute" He kissed my forehead before helping to unpack the shopping.
****
"This road trip's been fun" Calum said as we sat around the small fire. It had taken us nearly an hour to make a fire. The cabin had four outdoor two-seater sofas which we'd dragged around the fire in a circle. I snuggled further into Luke's side, his arm wrapped around my shoulders.
"You cold?" He whispered.
"A little" He pulled the blanket we were using around us more.
"Better?" I nodded. He tilted my head and pressed his lips to mine.
"I will never get used to that" We pulled away to see all of the others looking at us. Luke pulled me closer and kissed me again.
"Stop" I said, laughing as he pulled away and peppered my face with kisses.
"Yep, extremely weird" Ashton said.
"Mia and Calum were weird for ages. You'll get used to us" Luke said as he pulled my hair out of the bun it was in.
"But we didn't hate each other" Calum said.
"We didn't hate each other" Luke and I groaned. They fell in their own conversation and Luke continued to play with my hair.
"I was thinking of getting it cut shorter"
"What's shorter?"
"Shoulder length. Maybe a bit shorter"
"I like your long hair"
"Thanks"
"Besides you won't be able to put it up like you had it just now"
"I won't cut it then"
"Don't not cut because I said not too. I don't want to be controlling"
"Luke, I wanted your opinion. I was undecided"
"What do you think our mums will think about us be together?"
"Being together? We're not really together"
"Eventually. Still, what do you think?"
"My mum's always said that we should be together"
"Same here"
"They're literally bff's"
"They have weekly gossip sessions"
"They discuss us a lot too"
"My mum's always like I don't understand why you and Maddie aren't friends. She'd be a great girl for you"
"Damn right" He nudged me before pulling me closer and kissing my temple.
"I really fucking like you, Maddie"
"I really like you too, Luke" I said, kissing him quickly.

Beyond The Game (Abandoned)
Kaine sighed as his foe advanced once more, never letting up, barely giving him time to breathe. He pressed forward as well, excited and ready, welcoming the bloodshed that was to come. His short blade, meeting the bestial warrior's bone-made longsword. Their weapons clattering sound into each of their ears when they clashed. Kaine pushed, as did his foe, beginning the contest of strength. A dance which Kaine controlled the steps of. As their eyes met, both of them weary, but Kaine's expression was resolved...maddened almost. Whilst his foe's was fear-struck, the creature was terrified down to its core. As were its comrades which surrounded them, watching, waiting for an opening to have at Kaine themselves. Seeing many...but they faltered, as the dead had seen the same openings before. Their battered, broken and still freshly bleeding bodies laying sprawled about their surroundings. It is just one... One of them thought in shaken disbelief. Just...Just one man but he kills so many...smiling even! Glancing from the dead, and back at Kaine as he slew another. No...this is no man... Was its panicked conclusion. This one's a monster! As Kaine turned to face it, weapon ready and grinning widely throughout his approach.
