Faith's eyes were red from crying as she stared, solemnly at the burnt body laying on the kitchen floor. She knew Klaus had the same expression, but worse.

It felt like she had a hole in her chest. It felt empty. He was alive only a few minutes before they had come to the house. And now he was lying dead on a kitchen floor. His body, barely even recognizable.

The door creaked open and shut, but the couple didn't move their eyes away from the body.

"Morning, sunshine," Tyler's joyful voice irked Faith. "You look pathetic."

"Only until Bonnie's spell locking us in here wears off, then I'll look different," Klaus replied as he turned around to see Tyler leaning against the doorway of the living room. "Angier perhaps. Or I won't look like anything 'cause I'll gouge your eyeballs from their sockets."

"My friends will be back with the cure then," Tyler smiled. "So I can shove it down your throat and make you mortal."

"I'm an Original," Klaus said with anger. "What makes you think my entire vampire bloodline won't be cured along with me, i.e., you."

"You know what I think?" Tyler remarked.

"That you're a little piece of shit?" Faith countered. "And can't even kill the person who killed his own mother? How pathetic."

Tyler glared at the siphoner as she looked at him with cold eyes. He soon stood up from the wall and smirked. "I think that's impossible. I think the moment he stops being a vampire, our whole blood connection to you is broken and your sire-line ceases to exist. So, whatever happens to you, only happens to you which means I can kill your ass and no else has to die."

"Although I am still debating just how to do it."

Klaus vamp-speed right in front of Tyler causing him to back away at the sudden action. "I recommend drowning," he smirked. "There's nothing quite like the feeling of someone fighting for something as basic as human breath, and let me tell you, your mother was a fighter."

The sun had already set as night had fallen and Klaus and Faith were still stuck inside the living room. Faith grew annoyed as her stomach kept growling. She used to be able to go days without eating, and now she was starving from not eating in one day.

"In case you have forgotten," Faith called out to Tyler, who was rummaging through the kitchen. "I'm still considered human by biological standards meaning I need food to survive."

She was only ignored by the hybrid and the siphoner glared at him as she sat on the floor of the living room right at the edge of the invisible barrier. The door was opened by Caroline, who jumped at the sudden crash coming from the kitchen. She saw multiple drawers opened, and silverware and plates broken on the floor. She glanced at the living room to see Faith glaring at Tyler.

"What are you still doing here?" she asked her boyfriend.

"Gloating," he smirked as he served himself a drink.

"Come home," Caroline pleaded, softly. "Don't stoop to his level."

"Yeah, don't stoop to his level," Faith nodded. "And give me some damn food."

She was, yet again, ignored. "He destroyed my life. I plan on being present for every second of his misery until I can kill him myself," Tyler said as he stared right at Klaus.

"Fine, you can gloat and multitask," Caroline compromised. "This place is a disaster. Starting with this horrific burnt corpse."

She pulled out a tablecloth from inside a cabinet and draped it over Kol's body. The corner of Faith's lips pulled down as she raised her head to look at Klaus. Silently, she grabbed his hand in comfort and smiled, sadly at the tight hold on her hand.

"Tyler's mother is dead, so is my brother. We're even," Klaus told them before looking at Caroline. "Call Bonnie. Get her to let us out of here."

"I will never, ever, help you," Caroline scoffed.

"How quickly you forget the part where I saved Tyler from the misery of being a werewolf or the night your mother invited me into her home to save the life of her precious daughter."

"How delusional are you? You killed his mother," Caroline scowled as she stepped forward. "And let's not forget that we're standing in a house where Elena's aunt Jenna used to live or did you think that your charm would make us forget how you killed her, too? You know what?" She paused and scoffed. "No. I am not going to engage in this. You are not even worth the calories I burn talking to you."

Immediately, Klaus vamp-speed grabbed a floor lamp and stabbed the end of it into Caroline's stomach. He swung the blonde vampire into the barrier before biting into her neck. She dropped to the floor and Klaus smirked at Tyler with blood dripping from his lips. "Now, that was definitely worth the calories."

Faith grinned at Tyler, "I would like to have my food, now. Before I find ideas of how to torture her."

Faith chuckled, taking a bite of her burger as Caroline panicked after waking up. She munched on her food while watching Tyler's futile attempt to calm his girlfriend down.

Tyler turned to Klaus. "She'll die if you don't heal her."

"Okay," Klaus said calmly before biting into his wrist. "Beg me to save her life."

"Is this what you want?" Tyler retorted. "To remind me that I'm powerless against you? Fine! You win, I'm nothing. Now save her, please."

"I'm sorry, mate, I didn't quite catch that," Klaus mocked.

"Please."

"Please...?"

"Please save her life," Tyler pleaded.

"See, now I think you're just telling me what I want to hear," Klaus said. "I mean you did call me pathetic earlier and made my girlfriend starve despite knowing she's human. And wouldn't it be more pathetic of me to help now knowing hours ago, you announced your plan to kill me in a manner which you're still debating because you want it to have a certain flair?"

"I'm just asking..."

Tyler exhaled. "I'll be your slave again. I'll do whatever you want. Just help her."

"No," Klaus replied.

"Get me out of here," Caroline said. "I can't even look at them."

"You want a fry?" Faith asked. "You have a way of being dramatic, Klaus."

The hybrid smiled at her before taking a seat next to her. "Aren't you eating too much?"

She waved the fry in her hand. "You know, you should never tell a girl that. But yes, I have been eating a lot and I don't know why. I just have been having a lot of cravings."

The couple turned around at the sound of Tyler coming back with Caroline in his arms. They watched as he laid her on the ground, dying.

"You wanna be in control, Klaus?" Tyler motioned at Caroline. "Here, now you get to be in control of her life. If you want her to die, fine. But then you can sit here and watch her die yourself."

He walked away and Faith walked up to Caroline. She crouched down and smiled at the blonde vampire. "Hmm, well I guess you won't die. Plus we kind of owe you since you did bring us together and all."

Caroline's breathing began to shaggy as she laid on the couch. "If you don't feed me your blood, I'll die."

"Then I guess you die," Faith said, smirking at the blonde. "And Tyler would've learned his lesson the hard way."

"How could you do this to him?" Caroline asked. "Faith, you dated him and I know you at least liked him enough for a while because you used to smile a lot more around him."

Faith shrugged. "Not everything is butterflies and rainbows, Blondie. Sure, I liked him, but he treated me like crap."

"And his mom?" Caroline looked at Klaus, standing against the entrance of the living room. "To me?"

"I'm a hundred years old," he said. "Call it boredom."

"I don't believe you," she said, shakingly. "You're with Faith."

"Fine, then maybe it's because I'm pure evil and I can't help myself."

"No," she disagreed. "It's because you were both hurt."

The couple looked at her. "Which means there is a part of you that is human and cares."

"How could you possibly think that?" Klaus questioned.

"Because the both of you are together," Caroline breathed. "And I've caught myself wishing that I could forget everything horrible thing the two of you have done."

"But that's impossible to do so," Faith mumbled as memories of Caroline, Bonnie, and Elena flashed through her mind.

"I know the two of you are in love," Caroline told them. "And anyone capable of love is capable of being saved."

Tears built up in Faith's eyes as she let out a shaky breath. "You're hallucinating."

"I guess I'll never know," she said as she closed her eyes and began to wince in pain.

"Caroline," Faith crouched down to her. "Care."

She glanced at Klaus with teary eyes. The hybrid looked at her before biting into his wrist and giving her his blood. The siphoner held her hands as she drank the blood.
