《The Lost Princess (Peter Pan OUAT Fanfic)》*Chapter 3 - Second Star to the Right

I awoke to find myself laying in the sand.
"Wait! The sand?" I thought in horror.
I looked up to see a boy staring at me. The first thing I noticed about him was his dark green eyes. Then I noticed the smirk on his face.
"Why hello there Salina." He greeted me.
I immediately stood up in surprise and questioned, "How do you know my name?"
He continued smirking and said, "Well I know everyone's name because, well I'm Peter, Peter Pan and your in Neverland ."
Now I was confused.
"Peter Pan is a fairy tale character and Neverland doesn't exist." I stated.
He looked at me confused and said,"Well of course it does, you even have the directions on that little bracelet of yours."
"If it's real then prove it." I announced tapping my foot waiting.
"If you wish." I answered.
Suddenly his feet left the ground and he started flying around the sky.
My eyes widened and my jaw dropped.
When he finally came back down he asked, "Do you believe me now?"
"Well, I-I..."
"I'll take that as a yes." He declared. "Now come on the lost boys are dying to meet you."
I walked with him through the forest for about 10 minutes when we finally reached the tent.
"Come on boys! Our girl is here."
I was swarmed by boys who looked around my age and younger.
"Alright boys, let's give her some space." Peter announced loudly.
"Why is she here?" A little, squeaky voice asked.
I looked down to find a little boy who looked around 7 or 8 years old.
"Well," Peter answered, "she's going to be the first ever Lost Girl!"
They all began cheering and running around me in a circle.

I didn't want this. I wanted to go home, or go anywhere but here.
I gathered up my courage and shouted loudly, "What if I don't want to be a lost girl?"
The boys stopped and Peter's expression turned from excitement to anger.
"Boys," He ordered, "would you please allow us to have some time alone."
The boys nodded and ran off into the woods.
He turned to face me and explained, "Look these boys, they're lonely. They need someone to care for them in a way I can't. Like a... mother! Yeah, they need a mother to be able to comfort them and scold them, and things like that."
I looked up at him and he looked genuinely concerned.
"I thought Neverland was a place of doing what you want?" I asked.
"Yes, but sometimes they need punished for doing things that are completely untolerable. You see, my form of scolding doesn't always... work." He answered.
"But my family needs me." I said.
"Salina you don't have a family." He stated coldly.
I immediately pushed him against a tree.
"You've got fire," he said smugly, "I like fire."
I ignored him and shouted, "Say that one more time!"
He stared at me and whispered, "You. Don't. Have. A. Family."
I let him go and sat at the bottom of the tree.
His expression turned a little bit softer and he sat next to me.
After a little while he said, "You're lost, you even admitted it to yourself. If you stay here we could all be one big family."
I considered my choices. He was right I don't have a family, only foster families. Here I could have a second chance, something more.
"Alright, Pan, you got me. I'll stay." I said feeling slightly defeated.
"Great!" He exclaimed.
"So what do I do? To be a lost girl I mean" I asked him.
He considered the questioned, stood up, then answered, "Well you need to prove your strength, so we know you're not a total weakling, and you need to prove you're trustworthy."
"How do I do that?"
"I'll explain in a minute." He answered then shouted, "Come back out boys!"
They all came bursting though the trees.
Then Pan announced, "Let's play!"

The Way Ahead
What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
