《Sinful |Klaus Mikaelson||》Dance the Night Away

The bonfire was in full rage. Kegs and coolers lined up as kids began to get drunk. It was a typical night in the life of teenagers. Except, half of the teenagers were immortal vampires. "Chug! Chug! Chug!" A crowd roared as a familiar brunette was held above one of the kegs. Her hands were placed on either side of the rim while the tap was on her mouth. Audrey Gilbert was doing a kegstand. Something she'd never done before tonight. Stefan quickly intervened when he saw the scene before him. He was hoping Audrey was going to give him the least amount of trouble, but he was sadly mistaken.
"All right party girl. Let's cool it," Stefan sighed as he pulled her down from the keg. She hiccuped and lazily looked up at the man holding her.
"Stefan! You made it!" She slurred. Stefan rolled his eyes and was tempted to break the girl's neck. She was completely hammered. "I-Woah," She giggled when she tripped over nothing. "I'm so happy right now,"
"Why don't you sit down over here and rest," Stefan grumbled. He plopped her down on a seat. "Stay here," The fact that he actually thought she'd listen was a big mistake. He walked away to find Elena, while Audrey stood up. She was definitely drunk, but she was also faking a little bit of it too. She needed a lot of liquid courage for what she was about to do. When she saw Elena coming towards her she frowned.
"I thought we weren't suppose to be by each other?" Audrey asked confused.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Elena asked worriedly. Once she started drinking, she quickly became aware of what her little sister was planning to do. "I mean, you were right earlier. This isn't you and I don't want you doing something that you feel uncomfortable doing just because we asked you to,"
"Elena, don't worry. I'll be fine," Audrey assured. She felt confident in herself now. "Caroline and I do this at parties anyways. Besides, the moment Stefan sees me he'll stop me. So, go do something stupid so he's on your ass for a while," Elena nodded and hugged her sister once more before leaving. Audrey took a deep, calming breath as she walked towards the guy controlling the music. "Hey, can you do me a favor?" She asked flirtatiously.
"Uh sure, what do you need?" He replied smirking. Audrey leaned in closely and bit her lip.
"Could you play Gimme More by Britney Spears please?" The guy gave her a weird look and she would've done the same. She hated this song but she could dance to it. "I promise, it will be worth it," She smirked. The guy eventually caved in and did as told. Once the familiar beat began to drum through the speakers she made her way over to a nearby table. She climbed on top of the table and stood up, gathering attention from people standing around. When she started to sway her hips a crowd formed. Her heart was pounding but she kept telling herself that she was wasted and continued to dance to the sexy song. She pictured Caroline up on the table with her to get herself calm. The song was halfway over when the loud group surrounding her drew Stefan's attention. He was watching Elena when obnoxious cheers and slurs were being screamed. Audrey was doing a wild hair flip when his eyes finally landed on her. The moment he witnessed her putting on a show for the student body he sped over to her. He stood on the table with her, hoping she'd stop but she continued. It took him hauling her over his shoulder for her to stop. The crowd booed Stefan as he carried Audrey away for the second time that night. Rebekah, who had been watching the scene, chuckled. She admired how bold the human girl was.

"Why are you trying to make this more difficult than it has to be?" Stefan growled as he threw her to the ground. They were a safe distance away from everyone and Audrey didn't know if that should scare her or not.
"Why do you have to protect me anyways? What does Klaus want with me?!" It was a question Audrey had been wanting to ask for a while. What part did she play in Klaus's plan?
"I don't know. He tells me what to do and I do it. No questions asked," Stefan spat. "All I know is you're one of his assets he wants protected,"
"This doesn't make any goddamn sense!" Audrey shouted in annoyance. For days she had been trying to piece together anything that didn't add up. Only problem was that nothing added up to her. What was the pull between her and Klaus? Why was there an empty feeling in her now that Klaus was gone? And why did the thought of her friends killing him make her uneasy? She felt like Tyler. She felt like she was sired to Klaus but she knew she wasn't. This wasn't about pleasing Klaus this was something more. Her drunk mind was coming up with thoughts she didn't want to think about. With a loud groan she laid on the ground and looked up at the sky.
"God dammit what is your sister doing?!" Stefan shouted when he saw Elena walking to the football bleachers. Audrey didn't follow him when he left because she was too absorbed in her head. Klaus Mikaelson was the bad guy. He killed her aunt. He tried to kill her sister and he turned her best friend's boyfriend into a mindless hybrid minion. He was selfish, arrogant, manipulative, and stubborn. He did things when they benefited only him, yet he saved Audrey. For one split second he showed everyone an act of kindness and it was then it clicked in Audrey's head.
"Maybe he isn't as evil as we thought. Maybe, there's some good to him," She thought aloud. If she could get him to become good, then maybe all of the madness would be over. But Klaus didn't have a heart so how could he be good? A loud scream had Audrey's head popping up and she witnessed her sister fall from the bleachers and into Stefan's arms. Although she was insanely drunk, Audrey got to her feet and stumbled over to the two. As Stefan was placing Elena on her feet, two vervain darts flew out and nailed him in the back. He collapsed on the ground in unconsciousness as Alaric emerged from the shadows.
"You okay?" Alaric asked Elena. "Both of you," He eyed Audrey as she staggered to stay upright.
"Yeah. I'm fine," Both girls answered at the same time.
"You look, uh, not sober," Ric commented to Elena. "And you, you look like you just jumped into a pool full of booze," Audrey glared at him and flipped him off.
"The plan worked. That's all that matters. Let's just get him out of here," Elena said looking away from Stefan's body. Alaric nodded and picked up Stefan. As they reached Ric's car, Elena opened the trunk so he could throw Stefan in the back. Audrey and Elena climbed into the backseats while Ric situated Stefan in the trunk.

"I'm just glad this is all over," Audrey groaned, laying her head on her sister's shoulder. "I need sleep," Elena laughed and agreed. When they heard the trunk closing they were expecting Ric to get in the car and take them home. The smell of smoke began to invade the girl's noses, but they ignored it. Both of them figured it was from the bonfire outside. When Ric saw flames igniting his car he tried to open the door.
"Elena! Audrey! Open the door!" He shouted in panic. Both girls looked up to see flames engulfing the car. Elena tried to open the doors but they wouldn't budge. Ric scowled and ran off to look for something to break the windows with.
"I can't! It won't open! What the hell?!" Elena shouted, attempting to open the door again. Both Gilberts tried breaking the windows but they weren't strong enough. Ric came rushing back with a crowbar but even he couldn't break the windows. Elena tried to use her feet but nothing was working and the flames were growing. Smoke filled the car and their lungs as Audrey and Elena tried to find a way out. "Stefan!" Stefan woke up just as Elena collapsed. He looked around to see the car on fire and kicked off the trunk door. He quickly pulled both girls out the back but because he was still weak from the vervain he couldn't get out.
"Come on! It's going to blow!" Ric shouted, trying to usher the girls away from the car.
"Wait!" Elena screamed as she rushed back to pull out Stefan. Audrey and Alaric run over to help and they all get him out and away just as the car exploded. Everyone's hearts hammered as they watched Alaric's car bask in the flames.

Audrey was rubbing burn cream on Elena's cheek when Damon approached them. Alaric had taken everyone to the Salvatore's house so they could recoup. When Audrey was done, Damon grabbed the tube of cream from her and motioned for her to come closer. "I'm fine, Damon," She grumbled.
"Really? Because the burn on your arm and shoulder says otherwise," Damon scoffed as he eyed her. Audrey hadn't realized she got burn, but the shock of what happened probably blocked it out of her mind. Damon squeezed out some cream before applying it to his little bird. "I can't believe you two almost got barbecued tonight,"
"You played your part of the plan really well tonight," Elena chirped up as she watched Damon care for her sister.
"Oh, yeah?" Damon asked trying to hide his smirk. He winked at Audrey before brushing back some of her hair. "Audrey did her part extremely well too," Audrey frowned and smacked him.
"You had Rebekah drooling all over you and your marshmallows," Elena continued. Audrey smirked at her sister for being jealous.
"Yeah, before she skewered me. I thought you were too drunk to notice," Damon replied looking at the eldest sister.
"I was faking most of it," Elena muttered, moving her eyes off of Damon.
"So was I," The tension began to rise between the two. Damon was still rubbing burn cream on Audrey but his eyes never faltered from Elena.
"Ready to get going, girls?" Ric asked as he stepped into the room. Elena nodded and moved to go with Alaric.
"Great work tonight, Ric. Sorry about the car man, bummer," Damon said with a hint of sarcasm. Audrey shook her head at her friend before looking at her sister and Ric.
"I'm going to stay here tonight in case Damon gets a little lonely," She teased winking at the raven haired man. He smiled down at her and slung his arm around her waist.
"Alright, call me later though okay?" Elena asked. Audrey nodded at her sister and watched as her and Ric left. When Audrey and Damon were left alone in his room an awkward silence fell upon them.
"I'm rooting for you, yanno," Audrey said, finally breaking the silence. "I love Stefan, but if anyone is perfect for my sister it's you. If she can't see that, than she's stupid," Damon looked at the girl to see her looking at the ground. "I used to be in love with you Damon Salvatore. But I saw the way you looked at Elena and I knew I never stood a chance, because that's the look every guy gives her," Her heart was racing, but she continued. "So, I'm rooting for you because you're the right guy for her. You'd be the right guy for anyone. When you care about someone Damon, you put them first and you care and you just-,"
"Audrey," Damon said cutting the girl off. She stopped speaking and looked up at him. He leaned down and embraced her in a hug. "Thanks," Audrey smiled and hugged him back. "If it's any consolation, you were the first girl I wanted when I got here. Especially, when you gave me that feisty speech about being a good person," Damon chuckled as he pulled away from her. "It was definitely hot,"
"Shut up," She giggled, smacking him.
