《Sinful |Klaus Mikaelson||》Family Above All

Audrey sat at the hospital with Caroline and Elena. Caroline walked away to ask Dr. Fell about her dad while Elena and Audrey stayed back. "So...you and Damon," Audrey stated awkwardly.
"Are you mad?" Elena immediately asked.
"No. I'm upset about not being told directly but I couldn't care less about you and Damon making out," The younger sister sighed. "All I'm saying is don't lead him on if you still have feelings for Stefan, because sister or not I will punch you for hurting him," Elena didn't say anything else in return. As Caroline walks back to the two sisters Audrey noticed the uneasy look on her face.
"That was fast," She commented.
"Yeah, he's not here. He was already discharged. And she seems perfectly nice by the way. A little intense, maybe, but I think it's sweet, you two wanna make sure Alaric's not dating a total psycho," Caroline replied, getting out her phone to call her father.
"He's our family. We have to look out for him," Elena sighed, crossing her arms. She glanced at her sister, but Audrey didn't notice. Caroline froze and frowned. "What?"
"I hear it," She said.
"Hear what?" Audrey asked her friend.
"My dad's phone," Caroline followed the sound of the phone and it led her to the medical supply closet. Elena and Audrey followed her closely. They past a lot of shelves before finding Bill on the floor with a knife in his chest. "Dad! Dad?"
"Oh my god!" Audrey gasped.
"Don't be dead, don't be dead, don't be dead! Oh my god!" Caroline chanted over and over again. She pulled the knife out of her father's chest but he still wasn't breathing. "Daddy!" By now tears were pouring out of her eyes.
"Caroline...He has vampire blood in his system," Elena said cautiously.
"What?!" Caroline shouted right as Bill jolted awake will a loud gasp. Caroline looked back at her friends before helping her father up. After getting him into an empty room Elena and Audrey left to call Liz and find some blood bags. Audrey was just about to grab some blood bags when her phone went off.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Love, I need you to come to my house," Klaus stated quickly.
"Yeah, probably not," She sighed.
"It's an emergency-just uh please hurry," His voice sounded urgent and that worried her slightly. She was about to ask what was wrong but he hung up. She thought about what she should do and eventually opted out on going to see what Klaus needed. If he was in some kind of trouble she had to help him out. It was the least she could do considering he had saved her life a couple times now. Audrey let out a loud groaned and left the hospital without telling anyone. How would she explain that she was going to see Klaus when her best friend needed her the most?
-
When Audrey walked through the doors of Klaus's mansion, she expected complete chaos. Instead, she was greeted with calming music. She stormed into the dining room to see Klaus and Elijah casually talking with each other and immediately felt anger rise within her. "How is this an emergency?!" She screamed grabbing their attention. "Is Elijah trying to kill you or something? What was so important that I just left my best fucking friend when she needs me the most?!" Klaus smirked at her and walked over to her. "I mean seriously Klaus, you can't just call me telling me that-,"

"Shh, love," He said, cutting her off by putting his finger to her lips.
"No! You can't just call me and make it sound like your life is in danger when it's not!" She shouted crossing her arms over her chest. Klaus glanced down at her low cut blouse to see her breasts peeking out. When she noticed where he was staring she smacked his head. "Eyes up here you hybrid perv!"
"Look, I'm sorry for worrying you but it just shows your affection for me," Klaus teased with a smirk. She clenched her fist and was ready to punch him when Elijah stopped her.
"Audrey, since you're here, care to join us for dinner?" Elijah asked politely. "It'd be nice to enjoy your company for the evening,"
"Fine. Only because I'm here and I'm starving," Audrey grumbled stubbornly. Klaus smirked to himself as he watched her follow his older brother. He called her to see if she cared about him and his theory was proven right. When the doorbell went off Elijah smiled. He walked over to the door and opened it.
"Niklaus, our guests have arrived," Elijah called out. Audrey cocked an eyebrow at the smirking hybrid. Klaus walked over to Elijah and stood behind him.
"Damon. Stefan. Elijah tells me, you seek an audience. Very bold. Let's discuss the terms of our agreement like civilized men, shall we?" Klaus greeted leading the two brothers into the dining room, where Audrey was. The moment Damon saw her he panicked.
"Why is she here?" He asked harshly.
"My brother and I enjoy her company," Klaus answered. "Is that a problem?" Audrey narrowed her eyes at the hybrid and Damon shook his head.
"I didn't come here to eat, Klaus. Fact, I didn't want to come here at all. But I was told I had to cause you would hear us out," Stefan stated dryly.
"Well, we can sit and eat or I can reach down your throats and pull out your insides. The choice is yours," Klaus smiled sadistically.
"So, I'm just gonna sit," Audrey stated awkwardly. She sat down first and everyone else followed. Unfortunately, she sat on the wrong side of the table because Klaus sat beside her while the Salvatore's sat across from her. A compelled human girl came around and poured wine for everyone. Audrey didn't waste any time before she chugged down the red liquid.
"You lost your appetite?" Klaus asked Stefan, who wasn't eating or drinking.
"Eat. I thought we agreed that we would leave the grumpy Stefan at home," Damon growled sarcastically.
"That's the spirit. Isn't it nice? Five of us dining together. Such a treat. Is this what you had in mind when you pulled the dagger from my brother?" Klaus asked while his hand slipped under the table and onto Audrey's thigh. Her whole body froze and she dropped her fork on the table. No one noticed but Klaus.
"Well, I know how he felt about you, so I figured the more, the merrier," Damon winked at Elijah playfully.
"Well, Elijah and I have had our share of quarrels over the century. But we always make it through," Klaus smiled at his brother, while squeezing the hand he had on Audrey's thigh. Audrey finally unfroze and grabbed Klaus's hand to remove it from her thigh. The minute she took it off he just put it back on.
"Kind of like you and Rebekah, right? Where is she, by the way? Last I checked she was still daggered because you were afraid to face her," Stefan snapped.

"If you're referring to the fact that Rebekah knows I killed our mother, I've already come clean to Elijah," Klaus replied, moving his hand farther down Audrey's thigh. She was tempted to stab her knife into the smug hybrid's hand.
"Hey, Stef, remember when you killed dad? Might want to dial down the judgment until dessert," Damon said as he sipped from his glass.
"We're here to make a deal, Damon. Doesn't mean we need to kiss his ass for seven courses," Stefan spat clearly annoyed.
"I'm just saying we have a long evening ahead of us. Pace yourself," Damon replied, trying to ease the tension. No one said anything for a moment. "So, Audrey. Want to explain why you're really here?" Audrey, who had been fighting off Klaus's wandering hand, didn't even hear Damon. "Audrey?"
"Oh my god, what?" She shouted out of frustration. Everyone looked at her in shock. When she realized what she did she blushed wildly. "Oh uh...I mean, what did you say?"
"Whoa, calm down. All I asked was why you were here," Damon answered.
"Klaus told me there was some sort of emergency and because I'm a good civilian I came here to see what was wrong," Audrey replied as she angrily stabbed her fork into her steak. "Before you go all judgmental on me, just know that he's saved my life like three times now. I owed him the benefit of the doubt at least once," She shook her head and cut a piece of steak off. "Obviously, that was a mistake," She glared at Klaus when she said this.
"Or you came here because you and Klaus have this secret affair going on," Stefan suggested.
"Ooh you caught us," Audrey replied with sarcasm thick in her voice. "Klaus and I are totally in love. Right, freak of nature?" She asked as she took his hand off of her thigh and slammed it on the table.
"Right," He gritted out between his teeth. Both of them tried to ignore the sparks erupting between them but it was almost impossible. Elijah shook his head at the two.
"So Stefan. Where is the lovely Elena tonight?" Elijah asked, taking a bite of his food.
"I don't know. Ask, Damon," Stefan replied bitterly. Klaus laughed at this while Elijah looked completely lost.
"I'm sorry, you've miss so much," Klaus chuckled to Elijah. He turned back to Stefan. "Ah, trouble in paradise?"
"One more word about Elena and this dinner is over," Stefan threatened with a fake smile. Klaus smiled back and held a finger to his lips as if he was shushing someone.
"You know what, probably best just to keep Elena in the do not discuss pile," Damon chimed in. Audrey laughed bitterly at this.
"There's a lot of things in the do not discuss pile, right Damon?" Audrey asked in the same tone Stefan had been using. Damon didn't reply to her, he just gave her a look.
"Okay then," Klaus chuckled, nudging Audrey playfully. She shot him a glare but lightened up. "The allure of the Petrova doppelgänger, still so strong. What do you say, brother? Should we tell them about Tatia?" Everyone besides Elijah and Klaus got confused expressions.
"Now why should we discuss matters long since resolved?" Elijah asked.
"Well, given their shared affection for both Elena and Katerina, I think our guests might be curious to learn about the originator of the Petrova line," Klaus stated.
"Well, we're not going anywhere Elijah. Please, do tell," Damon said sipping from his wine.
"When our family first settled here, there was a girl named Tatia. She was an exquisite beauty. Every boy of age desired to be her suitor, even though she'd had a child by another man. And none loved her more than, Niklaus," Elijah explained. Audrey began choking on her food at this. Klaus patted her back roughly until she stopped.
"I'd say there was one who loved her at least as much," Klaus added on.
"Wait a minute. So you both loved the same girl?" Stefan asked.
"Our mother was a very powerful witch. She sought to end our feud over Tatia and so she took her. Klaus and I would later learn that it was Tatia's blood that we consumed in the wine the on the night where our mother performed the spell which turned us into vampires. Tatia wouldn't make a decision between the two of us, so for a time Niklaus and I grew estranged. Harsh words were traded, we even came to blows, didn't we, brother?" The story Elijah had just told fascinated Audrey. Klaus was capable of love.
"But in the end we realized the sacred bond of family," Klaus finished.
"Family above all!" Elijah cheered raising his glass.
"Family above all!" Klaus repeated, raising his glass as well. They clinked their glasses together and chuckled.
"Your bromance is almost sickening," Audrey commented.
"I second that," Damon added. Audrey shot him a look which had him looking away from her. Klaus noticed this and grabbed Audrey's hand under the table for comfort. Instead of pushing him away she allowed it.
"So why don't we move this evening along and discuss the terms of this proposal?" Elijah asked.
"That's very simple. Klaus gets his coffin back, in exchange, he and the Original extended family leave Mystic Falls forever. Me, Stefan, Audrey, and Elena live happily ever after. No grudges," Damon explained. For some reason Audrey squeezed her hand around Klaus's at the mention of him leaving forever. Klaus noticed this and was tempted to smile at her.
"The deal sounds fair, brother," Elijah stated.
"I don't think you understand. Elena's doppelgänger blood insures that I will always have more hybrids to fight those that oppose me. I will never leave her behind," Klaus replied. He wanted to add he never would leave Audrey behind either but decided against it. He suddenly jumped up from his seat and began to pace. "Let's say I do leave her here, under your protection, what then? How long before one of you turns her into a vampire? Or worse, how long before she dies caught between your feuding? You see, each one of you truly believes that you're the one that can protect her, and that is simply a delusion. Gentlemen, the worst thing for Elena Gilbert is the two of you," When Klaus finished Audrey was shocked.
"I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with him," She gaped.
Damon smiled weakly and her and stood up. "I'm gonna get some air," He walks out of the room which had Elijah standing up.
"Let me deal with this," Elijah said, following Damon out. Klaus smirked over at Audrey and sat beside her again.
"All this talk has made me thirsty," He stated, waving over one of the compelled girls. "Care to join me for a drink, Stefan?" Klaus taunted before digging his fangs into the girl.
"Can you maybe not get blood on me? I like this shirt a lot," Audrey spat in annoyance.
"I like it a lot too," Klaus agreed, pulling away from the girl for a second to wink at her. Audrey rolled her eyes at him but still blushed.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
