Audrey hadn't slept at all when she got home from the ball. After her kiss with Klaus, she pushed him away and ran out of the room like some scared coward. She couldn't believe she had actually kissed him. As hot water ran over her skin she relaxed. Her mind was going haywire over everything while her heart remained calm. It was a sickening feeling. As Audrey stepped out of the shower, Elena stormed in. "Whoa!" Audrey shouted as she covered herself with a towel.

"I'm sorry, but we need to go to Damon's," Elena explained.

"Why?" Audrey asked, pulling the towel around her tighter.

"I...He told me he was in love with me last night and I kind of told him that it was a problem," Elena admitted guilty. "I feel terrible,"

"Jesus Christ, Elena!" Audrey groaned. "Damon is fragile and when he gets broken he does dumb things like getting drunk and sticking his dick in anything that walks!" Elena looked down and sighed. "I told you not to lead him on if you still loved Stefan,"

"I wasn't-," Elena began but her younger sister was quick to cut her off.

"Don't lie. I know you have feelings for both of them," Audrey stated. Elena rolled her eyes and exited the room angrily. Audrey walked to her closet to change before meeting Elena back downstairs. The ride to the Salvatore's was completely silent. As the two sisters walked up to the house, the front door opened to reveal a blonde Original doing the walk of shame. "Ow ow! Damn Rebekah Mikaelson!" Audrey whooped as Rebekah passed by. Bekah winked at her friend before shooting Elena a death glare. As Rebekah left, the two Gilbert sisters stepped into the house.

"Did you stop taking your vervain?" Elena asked as she slammed the door shut. Damon rolled his eyes as he buttoned up his shirt.

"You think Rebekah had to compel me?" Damon asked with a snarky tone. Audrey rolled her eyes at the brooding vampire.

"What's wrong with you?! She tried to kill me less than forty eight hours ago!" Elena shouted. She looked like she was on the verge of pulling her hair out.

"Can we just move past that, Elena?" Damon groaned as he walked over to his liquor cabinet.

"So is that how it's going to be now? I hurt your feelings and this is how you lash out at me?" Elena asked as she watched the vampire pour himself a drink.

"Well, maybe for once, something I did had nothing to do with you," Damon suggested sarcastically as he took a drink.

"You should know that Esther is planning on killing her entire family. She's linked them all together with a spell. Whatever happens to one, happens to all of them," Elena explained getting Audrey's attention.

"Well, that's great! Klaus will finally be dead. We win. Why do you look like someone just shot a panda bear?" Damon asked bitterly.

"Uh, because to kill Klaus she has to kill all of them, including Elijah! And he doesn't deserve this!" Elena argued.

"Whoa, why did no one tell me about this?" Audrey asked.

"Because you were too busy being swooned by the asshole hybrid. What's going on between you two, anyways? He buys you a bunch of shit and you're suddenly kissing the ground he walks on?" Damon sneered at his friend.

"Hey! Just because you're hurting does not mean you have the right to lash out on me! So why don't you put on your big boy pants and stop pouting!" Audrey yelled back at him. Damon rolled his eyes at her and took another drink.

"Wait, so why am I supposed to care about Elijah?" Damon questioned.

"Shouldn't you at least care about Rebekah?" Elena shot back at him.

"Two seconds ago, you were pissed that she attacked you. It's a win-win," Damon answered with a fake smile. Audrey felt like she was going to puke. Not only was Klaus going to die, but his whole family too? Elena shook her head and turned around to leave. Damon sped in front of her, blocking her exit. "Don't do anything to screw this up, Elena. Same goes for you, Audrey. We don't need feelings getting in the way,"

"Screw you, asshole," Audrey spat.

"He's right, you know. Klaus has to die. They all do," Stefan announced as he walked in.

"See? It's democracy in action," Damon smirked. Elena and Audrey shared a look of disgust before pushing their way out of the house. The whole way back to the Gilbert house consisted of Elena talking about Damon. Audrey was silent as she thought about the plan to kill Klaus. As they reached their house, Elena got out and called Bonnie while Audrey got into her car and took a ride to the Falls. She needed to calm herself and think of a way to stop this plan from happening. After about an hour and a half of thinking, Audrey eventually gave up and angrily drove to The Grill. As she stormed up to the bar, she didn't even notice Alaric and Meredith sitting there as well.

"Tough day?" Ric asked, startling Audrey.

"Let's just say that I'm not in best mood," Audrey grumbled. Once she found an empty seat on the other side of the bar, she sat down and called over the bar tender. "Can I get a plate of hot wings and a cherry cocktail-wait!" She stopped herself. "No cocktail, just a sprite," She said begrudgingly. She knew that she had to stop drinking her problems away. The bartender nodded and walked away to get her order. Audrey had just gotten her food when sparks began to flame her body. She knew exactly why too.

"Oh come on now. Let's not go blaming the new family in town just because you lot have got yourselves a killer at large. Don't mind us. My brother and I are just here to let off some steam, right Kol?" Klaus announced cockily as he talked to Meredith and Alaric across the bar.

"Right," Kol agreed. Audrey tried hiding herself but she knew Klaus could feel their bond pull too. As he got closer the sparks got more intense.

"Hello love," Klaus greeted taking a seat beside Audrey.

"Dammit! I was hoping you wouldn't notice me," Audrey groaned, looking up at the two Originals. Kol sat beside Klaus and shot Audrey a wink. "Don't you have anyone else to bother?" Audrey whined.

"Nope. Besides, I want to spend time with my brother and soul-," Klaus started, but Audrey was quick to jump up and cover his mouth with her hand before he could finish. Klaus smirked at his frantic soulmate as she looked around to see if anyone had heard him.

"We are not talking about this in public where people can hear us!" Audrey whisper shouted. Klaus didn't listen to her and only focused on how close she was to him. Flashbacks of the night before came to him and it sparked an uncontrollable need. Klaus's hand slid out and like a flash he grabbed her waist pulling her close. Audrey's eyes immediately widened at his actions. Before she could crash into his chest, her hands flew out to push him away. "Let go!" Klaus chuckled but did as told. Once Audrey was free from his grasp she composed herself and sat back down.

"You really need to lighten up," Kol chuckled as he sipped from his whiskey.

"Shut up," Audrey spat at him. She sighed and began to eat her hot wings. She felt eyes on her and when she glanced over she saw Kol and Klaus watching her. Audrey finished the wing and took a drink from her sprite before glaring at the brothers. "I stress eat alright? Do you have a problem with that?" She asked harshly. Kol and Klaus both had amused looks on their faces, but neither of them said anything. "Okay good!"

"I've always loved a feisty woman," Kol sighed. Klaus chuckled with agreement. Audrey was about to respond but her phone cut her off.

"I swear to God I'm going to kill Damon," She huffed when she saw it was him calling her. It was the tenth time he had tried to reach her that night.

"I'll gladly help," Klaus smirked.

"Please do," Audrey groaned as she answered her phone. "Yes, Evil Spawn?"

"You know how hot that name makes me feel, babe," Damon answered jokingly. "Where the hell have you been and why haven't you answered your phone?"

"Well, for starters I didn't want to and I'm not telling," Audrey answered with extreme sass. Klaus smirked at her attitude.

"Don't start this. Look, Rebekah took Elena and is planning to kill her if we don't stop this plan," Damon explained.

"What?!" Audrey nearly screamed. "Well, stop the fucking plan than, Damon! It's not rocket science!"

"That means that Klaus and his family doesn't die," Damon reasoned as if it would change her mind, when Audrey didn't want Klaus to die in the first place.

"I don't give a shit! This is Elena we are talking about! So get your broody ass moving and go save my sister, goddammit!" Audrey shouted before hanging up on him. Kol and Klaus were looking at Audrey in shock, but neither of them showed any signs of knowing what the conversation was about. "Kol, can you go do something. I need to talk to Klaus,"

"Don't worry. I get it. Besides, mother shared some news with us this morning and you two really need to discuss that-," Kol began.

"Kol! Enough," Klaus interjected. Kol winked at Audrey before getting up and walking away.

"What was he talking about?" Audrey asked.

"Nothing," Klaus lied.

"Don't lie to me. Not now when it sounds like it's something important," Audrey argued. Klaus looked down and let out a sigh.

"My mother told me...that because we are bonded it also means that we are linked together," Klaus admitted. "If I were to die than so would you and vice-versa," Audrey froze. If Klaus dies so does she? Her heart began to race and she glanced across the bar to see Meredith playing pool and Kol harassing her. Alaric was standing near them and was waiting for something. It was then she knew what their plan was.

"Oh my god, I think I'm gonna be sick," Audrey grumbled before jumping up from her seat. She raced outside and gasped for air when the cool breeze hit her face. She was going to die tonight. All of her worries flew out the window when a hand touched her back. Just one touch from Klaus comforted her. Tears began forming in her eyes as she looked at Klaus.

"Are you alright?" He asked trying to hide his concern.

"Klaus," Audrey said, her voice cracking. Without warning she embraced him and buried her face into his chest while she cried. Klaus didn't know what to do. He let his instincts take over and wrapped his arms around his soulmate while she sobbed. Klaus held her tighter and tried calming her down. He had no idea why she was even crying but he figured it was best not to ask. Audrey was slowly settling down but Klaus didn't let her go. Having her in his arms felt incredible. He knew it was only the soulmate bond making him feel this way, but it didn't matter. She was quickly becoming his everything and that both terrified and soothed him. Out of nowhere a jolt went through the two of them. An almost unbearable ache took hold of their hearts.

"What's happening?" Klaus asked as he clutched his chest.

"I-I don't know," Audrey stuttered through the pain. When the light bulb went off in her head her eyes widened. "Kol," She stated. Klaus frowned in confusion but he began to hear voices coming from the alley beside The Grill. When he heard Damon Salvatore's voice he immediately sprinted for the alley. Audrey ran behind him, barely keeping up. When Klaus saw Kol's daggered body he quickly ran to it and pulled out the stake. The ache in his and Audrey's chest faded away. Alaric tried to stop him but Klaus pushed him against the wall knocking him out. Stefan went for him next but Klaus knocked him out too.

"I should have killed you months ago," Klaus growled at Damon.

"Do it. It's not going to stop Esther from killing you," Damon replied smugly.

"What did you say about my mother?!" Klaus roared, stepping forward towards Damon. Audrey quickly stood between them.

"You didn't know I was friends with your mummy? Yeah, we have a lot in common. She hates you as much as I do," Damon antagonized.

"Damon stop it!" Audrey screamed at her friend. "Klaus can't die now!"

"What do you mean?" Damon asked confused. Audrey turned to face her friend and pressed her back against Klaus for comfort.

"Klaus and I...we're soulmates and I'm not just saying that. I really mean it. Esther created me for Klaus apparently," Audrey explained. "If he dies so do I, so stop Esther before Elena and I both end up dead!"

"You're lying," Damon said with disbelief.

"She's not," Elijah chimed in, appearing out of nowhere. "I was there when Esther told them," Damon backed up and stared at the trio with disgust. "I guess this gives you more motive to stop my mother, considering you'd be killing the girl you love and her sister,"

"What did mother do, Elijah? What did she do?!" Klaus asked his brother. Elijah ignored him and grabbed out his phone.

"You tell me where the witches are or I'll have my sister kill Elena right now," Elijah threatened. Damon was still staring at Audrey when he answered.

"You told me we had another hour!" He shouted angrily.

"I'm sure Rebekah will be more than happy to start her work early," Elijah replied. "The choice is yours Damon. Save Elena and Audrey or have them die with the rest of us," Audrey felt immense guilt when Damon gave her a hurt look. Klaus grabbed his soulmate's waist and pulled her against him.

"They're at the old witch house," Damon finally answered.

"I'm sorry Damon," Audrey whimpered. "Please don't hate me," Elijah lifted Kol's body and everything turned into a blur as Klaus sped Audrey away with Elijah following. Audrey didn't say anything but her heart was breaking. After tonight all of her friends would hate her and she wasn't ready to handle that.
