《Human Race (Boyxboy) #1》Chapter Thirty Two: The Plum Thief

Sketch:
I was so bored but at least I was let outside for today although Erin had to keep me company. It was a warm day and the grass felt nice against my skin. No Orion was in sight but the guards were doubled and everywhere so I wasn't entirely free. He had a meeting or something, it was important, his words - not that I cared.
I stood up to gaze at the flowers, holding Mr. Bear tightly in my right arm playing with his plush fur. I skipped along the path before bending down to hide behind the tall plants that Erin wasn't even paying attention to. He was currently reading(too busy to babysit me) but would occasionally glance up at me. He was smiling too, which meant he was enjoying his book.
I know he was happy because it was something that didn't happened very often. I convinced Orion with my puppy dog eyes(which ended up in him giving in almost immediately. Not trying to brag but I had that vampire wrapped around my pinky finger.
Not only was it a beautiful day but the flowers couldn't be happier, booming with colors that couldn't look better. The sun was smiling too, so bright that I couldn't smile back at it for so long because my eyesight got all blotchy. I looked behind me to gaze at the many fruit trees that looked plumper than ever. Too bad I couldn't have any, they seemed right in season.
Gazing for a few more minutes my eyes came acrossA plump plum sitting so patiently in a reachable branch. The look of it made my stomach growl, I just wanted one.
I slowly crept along the fence, making sure no one noticed what I was doing. The guards weren't doing anything, just standing like statues that were frozen by medusa. I just wanted one and I would eat it quick too. No one would ever know.
I set Mr. Bear on the ground behind some bushes before examining the fence. It was high but I was a climber so it wouldn't be too big of an issue for me.
My mom used to buy plums all the time and as soon as she brought them him I'd devour at least four! You could say they're my favorite. Sam liked any type of fruit really but I liked plums the most. I reached up to pluck a big one, trying to balance myself so I didn't fall. The plum was close but I was short.
I grabbed it, barely, and plucked it from the tree, with as much effort as I could muster. I climbed down with the soft fruit in my hand, just staring at how good it looked. I grabbed Mr. Bear from the ground and held him under my arm. I rubbed the outside with my finger making sure there was no hole or dirt. Not finding any, I brought it up to my lips for a bite.

Before I could even put my lips on it, my wrist was grabbed and the fruit was taken from my hand so viciously I thought my wrist would snap. I looked up to see the thief, but met eyes with a not too happy Orion.
"I told you not to eat anything in this garden!" he shouted even though I was a few inches from him. I tried to pull back but he just griped harder onto my wrist.
"I just wanted one bite, you can have it after that! I haven't had them since my mom brought them from the market!" I shouted, reaching for the fruit that was in his hand. He glared, turning around and dragging me toward the castle. I even tried hitting him with Mr. Bear but sadly it didn't work.
I hated drinking blood, it was nasty and well gross! I wasn't a vampire! I just wanted something that I could eat, and remind me of my old home.
"You're not allowed to go in this garden again, do you hear me?"
"No! I just want one, let go!" I tried to hit him and kick him but he wasn't having any of that a pulled me over his shoulder in one swift movement.
The garden was getting farther away and the green grass was almost gone from my grasp completely. I kicked and hit, trying to jump out of his grip.
"Sketch, stop." he growled, making me pout. I didn't really care if I was on the verge of tears, he just told me I was never allowed back here, my safe haven...my garden. So that's what I did, I cried, begging him to let me go back outside.
I wanted to go back...I didn't like it here anymore. I started to cry into his shoulder, wiping my nose on the soft fabric. I was so bored here, and he didn't spend that much time with me. Erin was great but he's a book lover and I'm not. I didn't even know what happened to Erin - he wasn't sitting on the lawn chair anymore, maybe Orion told him to leave. I wasn't sure, I just wanted to go into the outside world...I wanted to see different types of flowers and places. Something exciting...I also wanted Sammy at the moment. He would comfort me but was currently unavailable at the moment.
I also just wanted a plum - the rope and juicy looking one in his hand but he wouldn't let me. I haven't had food in so long! Why did he make me drink that nasty blood in the first place. It does help me feel better when I'm sick but it gets old and it becomes too much.

We were close to his room, and the closer we got the tighter I held onto him. I just wanted the dang plum, and I really wanted to go outside again. But no, since taking one bite out of a piece of fruit can render you from going outside ever again!
He opened the door, walking into the spacious area and setting me on the ground. I ran over to the door door but he beat me, dragging me over to the bed and throwing me on.
He placed the plum down on the table, glaring over at me.
"I just wanted a bite! I hate blood! Please...you can have it back after that!"
His gaze softened but it was still angry none the less. He grabbed the fruit from the table, and sat on the edge next to me. I watched him curiously. He looked down that purple fruit, then back at me. Then he actually handed me the tasty fruit.
"Little one, I didn't ever mean to scare or harm you. It's just you're sick, and I don't want anything else that won't heal you get into the way. But I also understand that you want human food too. I'm sorry about that baby." he muttered softly.
I wiped my small tears with my sleeve, sniffling softly and grabbing the plump fruit. I timidly brought it up to my mouth and took a small bite, the juiciness exploding against my tastebuds.
I savored it for the moment I had, the sweet taste exploding in my mouth. I looked down at it, wanting all of it but reluctantly handed it back.
"No, eat the whole thing, I know you want it."
My eyes lit up as I bit into it again and again, savoring it after each bite. It was delicious and I wanted another but I know that was the most he would give me. He smiled and kissed the side of my head, before a knock on the door pulled him away from me.
I just got up and followed him like the eavesdropper I was. Their was some guy on the other side and he looked like he was about to piss his pants but I couldn't hear what they were saying. I just know something bad happened by the expression on his face. He turned back to me with that "piss my pants" face and grabbed me by the stomach and picked me up. He brought me over to the bed, setting me down softly like we were about to do something dirty.
"I'll call for Erin, stay here until I get back. I have something important to do."
"What happened?" I asked.
"I'll tell you later, okay? I'll be back soon." He kissed me briefly on the lips, before hurriedly exiting out the door. I just watched and heard as the door closed tightly shut and the soft footsteps fade away until they were gone completely. I wasn't going to stay on the bed and rushed over to the window, gazing out of it curiously.
There was nothing special going on outside which I can tell you was a total bust.
Not shortly after, Erin arrived with another book for me to read but also looked like he was about to piss his pants as well. This was bad, not only did Orion looked like they were sick but Erin did too.
"What happened?" I asked but he just shook his head. "Come on Erin, tell me."
He leaned over and looked both ways just in case anyone was listening even though we were alone.
"Well apparently that group that came and tried to rescue you...well they broke into one of the domes and got a bunch of humans out...but don't tell Orion I told you."
Wait, that group of 'elites' broke into one of the domes and got people out! No way! Aren't those collars tracked...and how did humans defend against vampires?
"So are they gone or did they find them?" I asked.
"No one knows, it's like they disappeared..." he murmured.
"Well that's strange..."
"Yeah...well you better start reading," he said, taking out his own book to read.
What was even going on anymore? I wonder if Sam knows what happened...actually I wonder where Sam is.
I opened up the book and began to read.
I wonder what this would do to the vampires? How this would affect the way we live? I wonder if this was the beginning of if it or if this was the end? However, I knew one thing...something was about to change.

"Ian? Please. Why are you not answering me?" Lisa shouted raising her voice to probably gain his attention."You want to know the truth?" Ian replied shifting his head away from the painting to look directly at her, staring into her eyes. While he started taking small steps in her direction."You really want to know why we are here." He asked again still moving forward. His voice was deep and hoarse and the way he was looking at her, made her take some steps back that was until her back hit the wall. Without saying anything he leaned forward placing both of his arms around her so that she was now trapped between him and the wall. He moved his face forward directly in front of her.Lisa could feel his hot breathe on her neck as he bent forward to place his mouth on her neck, placing a tender kiss there. Lisa took a large gulp of air trying to control the tingles, she was feeling down there."I was jealous, Lisa," He breathed out in her ears placing yet another kiss just below her earlobe. "I was jealous when you took hold of Cole's hand. I was jealous when you let that piece of shit place his hands on you. I was jealous when you danced with him. I was jealous, Lisa, very jealous." He continued as he removed his mouth from her neck, leaning forward to stare directly into her eyes."So let me tell you the truth. I am a very possessive man, Lisa and I don't share what's mine. And when it comes to you I certainly can't control myself." He concluded as he closed the gap and placed his lips on her.
