Anime: Shugo Chara

(A/N): Hey, I'm so sorry but it's been a while since I saw this anime so I kinda forgot everything...but I'll still try my best to make it enjoyable!
(Y/n)'s POV
I clutched Cream and Raven (your shugo charas) in my arms as I ran and ran. The wolves wouldn't stop coming, they would never give up.
Blood trickled down my arm as I continued to run. The wolves were gaining up on me and if I stopped, I would be dead meat...killed and left unfound. I would be...forgotten.
"(Y/n), come on. You have to character change now," exclaimed Cream.
"N-no, it's too unstable."
"Tch, then just get stronger. Come on, I wanna change already!" Raven whined.
"They're not gonna stop and you know it," said Cream.
I ignored their comments. Cream and Raven were very important to me and I couldn't die now. They would disappear and I would hate that. They would leave without me...
I fought back my tears as not only the increasing pain from my arm continued to make me feel dizzy but also because I didn't want to lose those who I considered close.
"(Y/n), watch out!" Raven yelled.
I jumped over the fallen tree but sprained my ankle while landing roughly on the other side. Damn it! I struggled to stand up and fell back down the very next second.
"Damn that stupid company! They should just go die in hell! Why would they make (Y/n) go through this unreasonable thing?!" Raven screamed in frustration.
"C-calm down. We'll get out of here somehow."
The wolves surrounded us, circled us without leaving any opening. I clutched Cream and Raven tighter as the wolves' low growls could be heard.
Everything was going to be okay, it had to be. The company wouldn't let me die here, I had to believe that. They wouldn't kill someone. They wouldn't...would they?

I started to feel lightheaded. The blood had soaked my entire sleeve and my sprained ankle was making my focus and concentrate even worse than before.
Suddenly, someone scooped me up in their strong arms as we escaped from the circle of wolves. I looked up to see Ikuto, who had done a character change with Yoru.
~After you escape~
I winced as Ikuto applied a medicinal paste to my arm. An ash-coloured wolf had bitten into my arm but the wound looked much worse than it actually was.
He applied it more gently this time, careful not to make it hurt. I could see the concentration in his eyes as he continued to treat my wound. Soon enough, he had wrapped a bandage around it but the blood was already starting to seep through.
My ankle was put up on a chair with an ice pack soothing the swelling. I looked up to find Ikuto staring at me with a melancholic expression.
I couldn't hold his gaze and looked at my lap instead. What happened between us? Why did we suddenly become so distant? I hadn't spoken to him for a long time. He always avoided me so I never had the chance to...
I forced back the emotions rushing through my body as I recalled the childhood memories we had made together. Now, they were just forgotten fragments of the past that would mean nothing again.
"(Y/n), I'm sorry," he finally exclaimed.
"Sorry? Don't you think it's a little too late for that?..."
"I...I didn't know what to do. I was afraid that they would do something bad to you if I stayed by your side. I...didn't know that they would put you through all those trials..."
"Now what? You want to start over?"

He pushed me down so that he was towering over me. I could see the sadness and pain in his eyes. My heart started thumping hard as I realised that I still had feelings for this dark-haired boy.
Ikuto's POV
I buried my face in her neck as I remembered her sweet scent. I missed everything about her, I couldn't stop thinking about her. She was on my mind everyday.
They had put her through things that were much worse than what I had imagined. Everyday, I had tried to convince myself that she didn't need me anymore; that I no longer needed her.
My goal wasn't her yet my heart faltered whenever I convinced myself to follow this fake illusion. Today's trial was crossing the line. They shouldn't have and never should have gone that far.
"(Y/n)...give me one more chance..."
"*giggles* Your breath tickles, stop doing that."
I missed this...I missed her laugh, all the fun times we had together. I kissed her neck before moving up to nibble on her ear. She immediately tensed as I continued.
"*blush* I-Ikuto! What are you doing?!"
"You're so fun to tease..."
"You- ugh, whatever. Just get off."
"No."
I smirked as she struggled to push me off with her good arm. She pouted before glaring at me. I...was starting to fall for her all over again and this time, I wouldn't suppress these feelings of mine.
"Hey, what would you say if I asked you to date me?"
"*blush* Eh? D-date you? What are you talking about?"
"I mean it. What would you say?"
"W-well...y-yes, I would say yes."
Before I could reply to her answer, Yoru, Cream and Raven came flying into the room before crashing into us. I internally groaned...I wanted to spend the night alone with (Y/n).
"What are you three doing here? Didn't you plan something to do for tonight?"
"We got bored. Got a problem with that?" Raven replied.
"Hehe, she's a bit annoyed. Sorry about her attitude," Cream exclaimed.
"Yo (Y/n), what were you and Ikuto doing? Hmm? *smirks* You two seem busy. Huh?" Yoru asked.
I glared at him before cuddling (Y/n), making sure to avoid touching her injured arm and sprained ankle. I didn't want to deal with more annoyances...
All I needed was (Y/n) for tonight...just for tonight. I felt something move beneath me. Cream managed to squeeze her head out, gasping for air.
"I-I...was stuck..." she said in between breaths.
How did she even stuck there in the first place? I looked at (Y/n), who was smiling happily as she watched the three of them play with each other.
I...wanted her to smile like that for me too. I couldn't help but nibble her ears. It was so fun to tease her. I couldn't stop...
"I-Ikuto! Not again!"
"Hmm? But I want to," I whispered into her ear.
She quickly pushed me away before sitting up but I simply just hugged her from behind. It was as if I had imagined it but I could almost hear the fast beating of her heart.
"(Y/n), I'm never going to leave you again."
I had said that quietly but I was sure she had heard it. Her hands found mine as she wrapped her fingers around them. I felt a smile creep onto my face. I...love you, (Y/n).

Sadly, most of the world seems dedicated to tearing itself apart as the year-end deadline gets closer. The west is in barely contained Chaos, while the east descends into internal conflict and war. The Pillar Forts, one of the few successful projects of the United Nations headed by the United States, stand ready to defend humanity against any invasion that may come through the strange Connection Pillars that appeared on each continent. Massive steel and stone walls that surround the Connection Pillars. They are filled with deadly men and women trained in all manner of warfare, each trained in the newly acquired System with skills and magical abilities that they put to deadly purpose. Beside these brave warriors, tanks, helicopters, artillery and more stand ready to defend humanity at each of these powerful installations. But, can they overcome the disparity in levels and experience between themselves and the forces that threaten them and the rest of humanity? Main Characters Jessica Brown- A young African American girl. Her 18th birthday in Detroit was the same day the systems message appeared. She discovered she was Level 7, much higher than most of the rest of the world. Why she is blessed, or cursed, with the power she doesn’t know. But what she does know is that she rather likes the feeling that comes with manipulating magic. The week after her birthday, government workers started testing every person in the US in a massive census effort of skills and abilities. Jessica Brown found herself conscripted into the US Magical Corp, a new branch of the US Military, and shipped off to a Pillar Fort. Somewhere hot and muggy in her ancestors’ home of Africa. As she grows stronger, she finds she has some connection to the pillars. While everyone else sees beauty or danger when they look at the pillars, after connection is made all Jessica can see is a Tree. A tree the size of the entire universe. Isaka Smith - is a third generation American and farmer who just wants to be left alone. But she is dragged into the situation by events beyond her control. When people in her small town had to deal with rioters and looters after the system announcement, she rallied them to defend themselves, earning her a trait that the government found extraordinarily useful. After a visit to a local reservation, she finds herself conscripted to lead one of the many small support towns erected around the great pillar forts. Not near her old home, but in far-flung Africa. John McIntire, the “Fighting Bull” -The commander of the African Fort, but because of circumstances beyond his ability to contend with shortly after taking command after being re-activated from retirement, he finds communication with his chain of command increasingly difficult. The US government, hell, even the United Nations, seems to have fallen into complete and utter chaos. The African Union is embroiled in a bitter civil war just outside his door, and supposedly, most of the world governments are in similar situations. Meanwhile, John must do his best to be ready to facilitate diplomacy, or to match the hostile argument of whatever force might come through the pillar of light when the year timer finishes counting down. Can our heros defend Earth from outside threats, while it tares itself apart? Or will they need to rebuild from the ground up? DEDICATION: This story is dedicated to my father who passed away recently. Jim Holloway, you’ll be missed you old silverback gorilla. Love you dad. Always have, always will.
