Subaru's POV
I licked the blood dripping down my arm as the five vampires in front of me lay scattered across the floor. Their crimson blood coated the entire floor like a painting of the sea, lost and forgotten.
Yui stood on the other side like a frightened lamb amongst a pack of wolves. I had saved the best for last. Her disgustingly dull blood was surprisingly sweeter than that of my brothers'. She...was the cause of my unfortunate ending.
I casually walked towards her, my gaze never leaving her body. She cowered and backed against the wall despite knowing that her fate was sealed. There was no escape from this hell in which she had willingly walked into.
"S-Subaru, I'm sorry. P-please d-don't kill me. I-I won't-"
"You killed (Y/n) and you're going to die for ordering such a thing. Is there a problem with that?"
"B-but I didn't-"
"If you didn't tell Ayato to kill her, then he wouldn't have. She would still be alive! So it was you who killed her! And now you want to live?! How the hell is that fair?! Huh?!"
"I-I'm sorry, okay?! So stop yelling at me!"
"Shut up!"
I slammed my hands against the wall, trapping her from both sides. She jumped up in shock before shivering in fear. I smirked at her reaction, happy to have found this satisfying my greed.
I bit into her neck, ripping her skin slightly while doing so. Her warm intoxicating blood flowed into my mouth. Pain clawed at my heart as I remembered (Y/n)'s sweet scent; the first and last time I would ever taste her blood.
Without surprise, Yui's body fell limp within a few minutes. I had drained every last drop of blood from her weak worthless body. Tch, she couldn't even fight back. Pathetic human girl.

I let her body drop to the ground before stepping back to look at the scene. It was...hollow. (Y/n) was missing, and she was never going to come back. How...was I supposed to survive without her?...
~Some time later~
A knock on the front door distracted me from my distraught thoughts. I reluctantly got up and teleported to the entrance. The person outside opened the door and came in without permission, and I honestly couldn't care less.
"Is my sister here?" asked a black-haired boy that seemed to be around my height.
His sharp grey-blue eyes scanned the hall as I watched him with boredom.
"Who's your sister exactly?"
"(Y/n). We're not related by blood. Her family adopted me," he replied.
"She's dead."
"Excuse me?"
"Are you deaf? She's dead."
"What the hell do you mean?!"
He grabbed onto my shirt and pulled me closer. I ignored his death glare and pushed him off before walking away. I wasn't in the mood to fight her brother even if he had every right to get mad.
He appeared in front of me and blocked my path. His body was surrounded in frost. A vampire who had unnatural abilities...I've never fought against one before. This'd be interesting.
I was pushed up against the wall, but did nothing to stop him as he hit me again and again. I deserved it. I couldn't save (Y/n). I was too late. I hadn't tried hard enough. I...never stayed by her side...
Maybe it was better for me to leave this cruel world. Nothing could save me from this eternal hell in which I had fallen into. I was a pathetic excuse of a vampire. I...deserved to die.
"Why the hell is she dead?!"

"I'm...sorry. I couldn't...save her."
"Why not?! She was the only one I had...she was the only one I could call a sister..."
"Just get over it. I'm sure (Y/n) wouldn't want you to cry over a mere death."
"Like you can say that. I can see right through your tough persona. You're beating yourself up for not being able to save her. You loved her and it was all because of a human girl. How worthless."
"H-how?..."
"I can read minds. That frost was just to trick you. I don't have ice powers. It just appears whenever I'm using my power."
"Get lost. I don't want anything more to do with you...or her..."
"So you want to forget about my sister? *sigh* I guess she'd want that. She'd hate for you to live your life full of regret. Shall I erase your memory for you?"
"You...can do that?"
"Of course I can. I'm not such a weak vampire, you know."
"...but I can't forget about her..."
I ripped myself out of his grasp before teleporting to my room. I was too tired to argue with him. He reminded me of (Y/n) and I didn't want that. It'd only make me think about her and regret what happened even more.
(Y/n)'s POV
I watched Subaru in pain and sadness. He was suffering and it was all because I couldn't protect myself from a mere human. How pathetic of me.
I floated down to face him. He seemed to jump back in shock. I looked back but there was nothing behind me. A look of confusion crossed my face as he reached forward, only to go through my body.
"(Y-(Y/n)?!"
"Subaru, you can see me?"
"I can't hear you. Please, talk to me. I need to make sure this isn't a dream..."
I reached up to touch his cheek, feeling his soft skin beneath my ghostly fingers. Tears welled up in his eyes. I smiled happily through my tears.
"(Y/n), I love you."
"I love you too...Subaru."
I felt my body beginning to disappear. He reached out desperately but it was futile. I saw my brother enter the room as soon as I dispersed into nothing.
No one's POV
"(Y/n)...was just here, wasn't she?" asked her brother, Yuki.
Subaru didn't bother replying as he stared long and hard at the place where her body had once been, as if that'd make her come back.
Yuki stared at the white-haired vampire in pity as he began to fulfil his sister's last wish. Because he was so skilled at using his power, he had heard her thoughts.
"'I love you' is what my sister wanted to say to you," he exclaimed before erasing all his memories of the (h/c)-haired girl.
Subaru soon lost consciousness. Yuki caught him and moved him onto his bed. A tear slid down his cheek as he left the mansion, never to come back again...and began erasing his own memories.

Feast or Famine
Morgan Mallory was a perfectly ordinary college student until she was whisked away to another world full of strange creatures and wondrous magic. She is completely mentally stable, has no childhood trauma to speak of, and has certainly never engaged in self-destructive behavior as a form of punishment and emotional regulation. Morgan has always dreamed of getting isekai’d like the heroes in her favorite light novels, and she wants nothing more than to emulate those heroes. She has always wanted to help those less fortunate than herself, to stand up for the weak, and to be a righteous heroine who puts the needs of others before her own wants. And she has absolutely, positively, definitely never fantasized about murdering thousands, controlling minds, and pursuing total world domination. Trust her. The blind wastelands were what it was called now. Is Lucas Destined to Die in the New World?
Lucas imagined himself doing grander things in life; after all, he put in his own blood, sweat, and tears, and got himself a master's degree in English. Maybe he'd be the next best-selling author, or maybe the most popular late night TV show host. However, life didn't give him anything more than a management position at the local burger joint. Day in and day out, he flipped burgers, swept floors, and made weekly schedules that his employees ignored. All he had known for the past five years of his life was pure misery. Then after one night of drunken revelry, he found himself in an unfamiliar world, but he knew all the gimmicks. He knew these stories had quirks he could manipulate- he could put all his stats into magic and become the best wizard in the world, or he could dump all his stats into strength and become a veritable warrior. But once again, just like Earth, this new world seemed to have different plans for him. Instead, he was given a luck stat of 0 and a skill that forced him into danger where there should have been none. Why is this nerdy, magical paradise trying to kill him? Content warnings are there to give me some creative legroom later. There's not an excess of any gruesome content in the story, and what is there is tastefully sprinkled in. This is a LitRPG. Updates are twice a week on Mon/Fri plus some extras here and there.

Thaum new Galaxy
Thaum an ancient mage of many lives decides to drift through the great void before starting a new life. Unknowingly centuries pass and he somehow finds himself in a new galaxy. One where Magic never passed the initial Druidic phase and died out. Instead, the people have taken to technology to improve their lives. They have progressed further than Thaum has ever seen. Traveling between worlds isn't a grand expedition with great magic, but as simple as boarding a ship and paying the boarding fee. Authors note - This story is intended to be a short novel. The MC is going to be OP as far as mages are concerned, but we will see what a sci-fi universe can throw at him. (suggestions welcome) p.s. he will try to make his impact overall a good one, but he is not a good person. He only chooses to do good. Unless it is too inconvenient. it also won't be particularly dark.
