Anime: B Project: Kodou*Ambitious
(Y/n)'s POV
I rushed to get undercover as the rain started pouring down. Ten minutes went by, leaving the streets deserted and empty, excluding the traffic in which the numerous cars were stuck in.
*sigh* When would I be able to get home? My younger brother, (B/n), was going to worry about me and that was the last thing I wanted. He hadn't called nor texted so I assumed that he had guessed I couldn't go home as quickly today.
Without realising it, I had begun pacing back and forth, thinking about what to make for dinner. It would be a good idea to have curry rice but I was worried that I might not have all the ingredients at home.
"W-watch out!"
I looked up just in time to see a man run and slip on the wet pavement. Before I could move out of the way, he crashed into me, causing the both of us to fall down.
He immediately got up and held out his hand, which I gladly took. Upon closer inspection, I knew that I recognised his face. My friend had always talked about how much she loved the idols from B Project.
"I'm sorry, Miss. I was trying to get undercover..." he apologised.
"N-no, don't worry about it."
"You look beautiful. Is there anything I can do for such a beautiful girl?"
"*blush* W-well, I would appreciate it if you would stop with the flirting, Aizome-san."
"Hmm, so you know who I am."
"Yeah, I've heard about you from my friend."
"Then introduce me to this friend of yours-"
"Not a chance, mister. She's not going to date a womaniser."
"*laughs* Is that how you see me?"
I ignored his question and quickly answered the call from my brother. His voice was strained and his breathing was shallow, which made me extremely worried.

"(B/n), what's wrong? Did something happen?"
"(Y/n)-nee...I feel sick..."
"Can you tell me where you're feeling unwell?"
"I t-think I have a fever."
"Okay, I'll try to get home as soon as possible. Call me if it gets worse."
I hung up and picked up my bags, ready to charge into the heavy rain but someone pulled me back by the arm. I turned around, a little frustrated that I was stopped.
"You can't go out in that rain," exclaimed Aizome.
"But I can't stay here either. My brother's sick."
"Just wait."
He let go of my arm and dialled a number into his phone. As the mere seconds passed by, I couldn't help but grow more and more worried. What if something happened to him? What if he fainted?
I bit into my lip, trying to contain my anxiety. (B/n) has always had weak health and couldn't participate in sport-related activities at school. It was harder when our parents just left us on the streets, wanting nothing to do with us anymore.
"Don't ruin your lips like that. Come on, I called someone."
I was pulled along, past the large crowds of people until we reached the carpark on the other side of the shopping centre. A sleek-looking black car had pulled up in front of us.
The door opened and someone stepped out. I recognised this person as Ashu Yuuta, an idol from the same unit as Aizome. He happily greeted me with a grin and gestured for me to get inside.
The silence inside was almost unbearably awkward, making me wish that one of them would at least start a small conversation.
"So your name's?" Ashu asked.
"Oh, (L/n) (Y/n)."
"I'm Ashu Yuuta but Ken Ken told me that you knew us. Oh and feel free to just call me Yuuta."

"O-okay."
"Where do you live? We can't possibly drive around aimlessly," said Aizome.
I hesitantly gave him my address, which he passed onto the driver.
"Any news from your brother?" Aizome asked.
"No, he hasn't called."
"This is unusual. You'd usually use this chance to flirt with her, wouldn't you?" Yuuta asked.
"She seems boring."
"Thanks for the compliment," I replied sarcastically.
"You're welcome, (Y/n)-chan."
"(Y-(Y/n)-chan?"
"Would you prefer me to use your last name?" he asked while leaning towards me.
"...call me whatever you wish."
I pushed him back by the shoulder, making him grab onto my arm and pull me towards his body. Before I could stop him, I found myself leaning against his chest, causing my cheeks to turn as red as a tomato.
"Oh, I didn't know you wanted me that badly," he exclaimed with a smirk.
"Ken-chan, you're making her feel uncomfortable," Yuuta said while pulling me back into my seat.
"We're here," the driver stated emotionlessly.
I mentally thanked the driver for ruining this awkward moment. As soon as he opened the door for us, I found myself rushing out and into the apartment.
The two caught up just as the elevator arrived at the ground floor. We headed inside before I pushed the button for the 8th floor. Yuuta and Kento were carrying my bags, which I had carelessly left in the car.
"S-sorry."
I reached for them but Kento simply shook his head and smirked. I braced myself for another pick-up line.
"A gentleman would never let the lady carry the bags," he exclaimed with a wink.
"Ugh, there you go again with your nonstop flirting. I'm sorry but I don't think I'll ever be interested."
"What a harsh way to put it."
The elevator stopped to a halt. I went to my apartment unit and entered the passcode for the lock. When the light turned green, I opened it and rushed inside.
I found (B/n) in his room and a thick blanket wrapped around his body. He had fallen asleep. On his bedside were his tablets and an empty glass, indicating that he had taken his medicine.
I gently touched his forehead. He did have a fever. I never should've left him alone. I should've taken him with me. I was such a bad sister...
~Some time later~
I had finished making dinner and invited Kento and Yuuta to eat. I had settled on making beef stew with rice, seeing as how I forgot to buy ingredients.
(B/n) came into the kitchen just as I was setting the table. He had his teddy bear cuddled in his arms and was rubbing his eyes. I kneeled down in front of him.
"Are you feeling any better?"
"Yeah, a little. Who are they?" he asked.
"Uhh-"
"We're her friends," Yuuta replied happily.
"Really?" (B/n) asked.
"Yeah, really," Kento said.
"Come on, let's go eat."
(B/n) sat down in usual spot as Yuuta handed him his food. He eagerly dug in and smiled.
"Disis gud," he exclaimed.
"Don't talk with your mouth full of food."
"Sowy."
"He's so cute. Can we play with him after?" Yuuta asked.
"Sure, I guess."
"Hey (Y/n)-nee?"
"Yeah?"
"Is that blue-haired guy your boyfriend?"
"*blush* N-no! Why would you say that?"
"He's been staring at you for a while."
I looked at Kento and realised that he really had been staring at me. He leaned on his hand before a smirk appeared on his face. I rolled my eyes and turned around. Despite this, I couldn't help but smile.
"They're secretly dating," I heard Yuuta whisper to my brother.
"We most definitely are not!"
"What are you saying...(Y/n)-chan?"

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
