Anime: Nanbaka
(Y/n)'s POV
Taking a deep breath, I entered. The fear and nervousness eating at my bones were nothing compared to the anticipation of seeing him again.
It had been years and so I could not be sure that he even remembered who I was. During the time I was in a coma, he had become a prisoner, which had somewhat shocked me at first.
"You must be (Y/n)," exclaimed a man with heavy makeup.
"Yes, that's me."
"Honey-kun doesn't know you're coming."
"I know."
"I've heard that you have a weak body."
"Yeah, I rushed out as soon as I finished my rehab after recovering..."
"Are you that desperate to see him?"
"Yes, I want to see him again even if he doesn't remember, even if it's just a glance."
"Well, here's the visitor's room. I'll go get him."
"Thank you."
I sat down as he left and shut the door. The room was painfully bare with just a clear plastic window separating the visitor from the criminal. Small holes were indented into the plastic for communication.
Although there was a door connecting this half of the room to the other, I doubted they even used it. After all, what use would they have to allow the criminal to escape through that?
He had probably waited for a long time so I could do this. Impatience nagged at me but I ignored it. It wasn't fair if I was impatient now. I just...had to see him one more time. My feelings for him haven't changed.
"Oi Kiji, what am I doing here? I don't think I'll be getting any visitors-"
He stopped mid-sentence once his eyes had landed on me. I managed a small smile, mostly as a greeting but also because I was glad that he seemed to be fine.

"Hey," I said dumbly.
"This must be a dream," he muttered to himself.
"I'm pretty sure it's not. I'm standing right here, am I not? Do you...still remember me?"
"Kiji."
"What?"
"Open that door."
"That's against the rules-"
"I don't care! Just this once..."
"*sigh* So troublesome..."
The door connecting the rooms opened with a sickening swing. I stumbled back in surprise as Honey came over and hugged me. He had run over so fast that I didn't even have time to process what was happening.
"Call me when you're done," said the man named Kiji as he left us alone.
"(Y/n), y-you're here. You're really here..."
"You remember me..."
"How could I ever forget?... That day scarred me for life...it was all my fault. I thought I'd never see you again..."
"Hey, even if you disappear on me, I'll still find you no matter where you are."
He pulled me in tighter. I could feel his tears on my neck, which almost broke my heart.
"That day wasn't your fault."
"Of course it was! If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have had to go to the hospital and...and..."
"Honey, that day wasn't your fault. I don't blame you-"
"How can you still think that after everything I've put you through?! If I wasn't being so selfish and ignorant, you would've never gotten hit by that truck!"
"...but you still worry about me...right?"
"Who do you think I am? Of course I have. You have no idea how much I thought about you..."
"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting for so long but see? You still care so I don't blame you."
I looked past him, at the two inmates? Honey followed my gaze before an irritated sigh escaped his lips. I smiled and waved, thinking that they were his friends.

"Honey, you never told me you had a girlfriend!" exclaimed the long-haired one.
"Because you never asked! And how the hell did you two get here anyway?!"
"Uno made me come along. We heard you were getting a visitor," replied the dark-haired boy.
"I'm surprised you even made it this far."
"Who are they?"
"Yo, I'm Uno and that's Jyugo. Nice to meetcha."
"I'm (Y/n)."
"There's no need to talk to these two idiots," Honey exclaimed.
"What? Angry that we ruined your precious reunion?" Uno asked with a smirk.
I jumped as a bald man suddenly kicked the door down. His gaze swept over the two escapees before landing on me. I immediately grabbed Honey's hand, intimidated by his sharp eyes.
"Oi Hajime, stop scaring the poor girl," Uno said.
He punched him, sending Uno flying to the other side of the room. He was unconscious and Jyugo showed no signs of wanting to fight him.
"Are you a visitor?" asked the guard.
"Y-yeah."
"He's not allowed on that side."
"Honey won't hurt me and he doesn't plan to escape either."
"Am I supposed to trust your words?"
"I swear to God that I am not-"
"A criminal's girlfriend swearing to God? Give me a break."
He dragged Uno and Jyugo by their shirts, taking his leave. I felt a tinge of pity for them but was glad that the guard didn't decide to take Honey as well.
I was suddenly pinned to the wall. Before I had a chance to speak up, Honey forced his lips onto mine. I melted into the kiss, missing his touch. He moved down to my neck but immediately stopped when he heard footsteps.
"O...kay, I'll just leave."
"Oi Trois!" Honey called.
"Geez, I didn't come here to see you kissing your girlfriend."
"It's not my fault you decided to come. Where's Kiji?"
"Arguing with Building 13's supervisor. I took this chance to take a look at the girl myself."
"Well, she's mine."
"Calm down, I have no intention of stealing her."
While they were talking, a dark blush had crept onto my cheeks. I was embarrassed, trying to hide behind Honey so that my cheeks would be concealed.
He took my hand and dragged me towards the open door. The guy named Trois smiled as I passed but all I could do was hide my face on Honey's arm.
"Hey guys, want to escape together?" Uno asked, coming out from nowhere.
"No-"
"Too late now! Hajime's coming!" yelled a green-haired boy.
Honey cursed under his breath before lifting me up in his arms. I held back a gasp, but he didn't seem to notice.
"I know you're weak. Don't complain and just come along with me."
"Honey! Trois! Hurry up!" Uno yelled.
They looked at each other before running after the four inmates in front of us, two of which I didn't know. I held on, afraid that I'd fall off but knew that it would never happen. I trusted Honey.
"Don't worry, I'll never let you go," he exclaimed.

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
