(Y/n)'s POV

"(Y/n)-chan, over here!" Yuuta called.

I caught sight of his pink hair being blown gently in the soft breeze. A flash of black and blue...of course, the members of Thrive were here. Everyone was, but there was one particular person I had wanted to see even more so than the others.

A hand on my shoulder startled me from my thoughts. Mikado greeted me with a smile as he led me towards the camp site. A small swelling of disappointment appeared in my chest as neither Ryuji or Tomo could be seen.

Was Kitakore not coming? It shouldn't matter. Ryuji had exclaimed that he was clueless when it came to things like love. There was no way it could ever work. He was...fine just the way he was...

"(Y/n), Ryuji and Tomo are going to be a little late. They said to start without them," said Tatsu.

"Oh, well, I guess we can. Have you guys brought the tents?"

"Yeah, Tsubasa organised them for us but she's over at her friend's place so she's not coming," Goshi replied.

"At least we still have (Y/n)-chan. Kazu, you can't keep her all to yourself!" Yuuta exclaimed.

"Hey, just because we're childhood friends doesn't mean we like each other," he stated.

I laughed. It was undeniably obvious that Yuuta was only teasing the male but the deep humour within his words always made me laugh. Yet the light statement triggered a feeling similar to a broken piece of glass.

Of course the thing about Kazu and I was just an inside joke but Tomo had never shown any sign of jealousy nor surprise or pain. I was suddenly tugged out of my thoughts as Yuuta pulled me along by the sleeve.

Once we had gotten to our designated area, Tatsu and Hikaru placed the tents on the ground...and there were only five. If two stayed in one, then I'd have to share with a pair...unless they left me with a tent by myself.

"Let's start. There's no point staring at them," Mikado exclaimed.

"You expect me to do that? I'm afraid my bangs will get ruined," Kento replied.

"Well, suck it up, princess."

"P-princess?! Says you."

I glared at him, but he ignored my gaze. Dragging a (f/c) tent away to a small clearing, I began unpacking the equipment. Although I had been camping with my family, I always had help with the tents.

After skimming through the detailed instructions, I picked up an end of the fabric, trying to piece the parts together. I noticed someone pick up a pole from beside me.

"Tomo!"

"Sorry I'm late, (Y/n)," he exclaimed with a smile.

"N-no, it's perfectly fine. You and Ryuji both have a busy schedule."

"Sometimes it's just too packed."

"Well, you two are pretty popular...but take care of your health."

"I will."

~Nighttime~

Sitting by the campfire, I slowly ate the grilled fish Momotaro and Mikado had slowly cooked. Glancing at the white-haired male in front of me, I couldn't help but flash a small smile to which he returned with a gentle grin.

"Why don't you two just get together already?" Ryuji asked.

"What do you mean?" replied Tomo.

"Do you like anyone?" Kento asked.

"...no, I don't think so," he replied, confused.

"There's no point asking," Ryuji exclaimed.

"H-hey guys, I'll just go get some water."

"Will you be alright on your own?" Momotaro asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine."

Standing up before any of them could protest or offer to go along, I quickly headed in the direction of the stream just a little ahead of the path. A deep sigh escaped my lips as I looked up at the millions of stars in the sky.

My heart was aching. Why did I have to fall for him? I needed to do something that would alleviate the pain in my shattered mind...but it was inevitable. Anyone could fall for a prince...

Forcing the tears back, I laughed heartlessly. What was I thinking? Of course the members of B Project were my friends but to think a top idol would fall for a commoner like me...how foolish.

Tomohisa's POV

Seeing her standing alone, I felt my heart beating fast. Nervousness rose inside my body, making it difficult for me to breathe and calm down. I called her name, almost whispered it but by the way her body tensed, I could tell that she knew I was here.

"I don't suppose you went to get water from the stream? We had bottled water in the tents."

What an idiotic thing to say. The others had continuously pressed that I liked her...but I couldn't tell. It was true that I felt a little nervous yet comfortable when I was around her. It was true that I felt myself wanting to impress her...and it was true that she was always on my mind.

"O-oh, really? I forgot," she replied while still facing the stream.

"(Y/n)."

"Yeah?"

"...I'm sorry."

This time, she turned around. There were numerous emotions bottled up behind her eyes but I needed to tell her. Even if it hurt her, I needed to tell her...what I felt.

"I'm sorry you fell for someone like me. I don't know anything about love nor what to do in a relationship. I don't even realise my own feelings."

"T-Tomo, what are you talking about-"

I grabbed her hand and placed it over my heart.

"Are you nervous?" she asked softly as my heartbeat increased.

"Yes, unbelievably so. I feel nervous whenever I'm around you, but I also feel that I could tell you anything. I seem to always have the need to want to help you in any possible way, some way just to get your attention. I...you're always on my mind...I think...I love you."

Tears streamed down her face as she held my gaze. Did I upset her? I let go of her hand despite the fact that I longed for her touch. She looked unimaginably beautiful in the moonlight, even with tear-streaked cheeks.

I pulled her closer before I could register what I was doing and placed my lips on hers. My hands cupped her face as I kissed her for a while longer before pulling away. The feeling of her lips lingered like the warmth of the sun's rays.

"I love you," I said more definitively this time.

"Am I dreaming?" she asked.

"*laughs softly* No, you're not."

"I love you too."

"Yay! What a romantic confession!" Yuuta exclaimed.

(Y/n) quickly pulled away from my hold, her hair hiding the blush on her cheeks.

"You were watching this whole time?"

"Of course we were. You know, just in case you mucked up and upset her," Goshi replied.

"Well, I guess this calls for a celebration," said Kazuna.

I looked at them, bewildered before smiling. Slipping my fingers through (Y/n)'s, I followed the others back to the campsite.
