《Daman's Quest》Chapter 26

Amaani Zara was livid. Not only was she drenched in red wine and utterly humiliated, but Daman had left her standing there not caring an ounce more than handing her his handkerchief. He chose Hera over her and that was the biggest loss Amaani would not tolerate. Hera had no idea what was coming for her.
"Somebody tell me where the fucking bathroom is?!" the princess squealed in agony as the crowd watched her. It was such that even in the most humiliating of moments Amaani would never lose her confidence. She stood tall and proud as she sashayed away to the bathroom after a waitron had directed her.
The little smirk which had taken over Adam's face had turned into a full blown smug grin. What a show that was! Feisty Hera, he thought. But now, unfortunately he was stuck with the petty princess.
Deciding to make the most of it Adam went over to the bathroom where Amaani was cussing like a sailor to the waitron who had stood there scared as he held a small bowl of vinegar for Amaani.
"Fat whore. I hate her! I absolutely hate her. Did she grown up in the bush to be acting like that? Is that fucked up woman going to be the duchess?" Amaani spewed out everything under the sun as the poor waitron simply nodded his head in agreement to not annoy the blazing princess any further.
Amaani harshly dipped the tissue paper into the bowl of vinegar and then placed a few dabs all over the stains of the red wine trying to neutralise the red and purple hues.
"I bought this dress all the way from Italy! It's an original and that bitch ruined it in one go. I'll damn ruin her," Amaani went off again while Adam signaled for the waitron to leave as he took his place.
"It's just wine, princess," Adam drawled out in annoyance. He took a good look at her noticing that she was indeed pretty with an amazing, perfect body, but it wasn't enough to make up for her annoyance and bitchy attitude.
"But this is not just a dress. It's an original. A statement piece!"
Adam dumped the bowl of vinegar into he sink and inspected the damage. In all fairness, the stain would never fade. Hera had done well, he thought.
"Want to blow of some steam together?" Adam offered innocently as the princess huffed about.
Amaani looked at Adam incredulously seemingly shocked at how candid his offer was. Not that she was any better but he was Daman's friend. She was hellbent on snatching Daman up therefore imagine how their future meetings would be knowing that she slept with his best friend.

But he was with Hera right now. That whore Hera.
"No strings attached." Adam smirked at her as he walked out.
Needless to say seeing Daman run out for Hera leaving her all alone and humiliated was a good enough reason to sleep with his best friend. Amaani walked out of the bathroom as poised as ever, swinging her hips from side to side as she left the club.

It was barely 2 hours since Hera and Daman had indulged in some sleep since they were so busy in their nightly endeavors and it wasn't welcomed when the duke's phone rand loudly in the little hotel room waking them both.
Groggily, Daman untangled a semi-awake Hera from his chest and searched for his phone that somehow ended up on the floor next to bed.
"Salaams, Jedati," Daman greeted his grandmother in a rough voice as he rubbed his eyes trying to get rid of the sleep. A smile tugged on his lips as he stood staring at a now awake Hera who smiled at him back as she laid on the bed like an angel. Her hair fanned out on the pillow and her big eyes staring back at him.
"Where are you children?" queen Donia began worriedly. "I trust Amaani is with you. I can't seem to get ahold of the child. Her father has entrusted me with her and we are supposed to be heading to the Ajmal and Doulah embassies today."
Quickly, Daman pulled his phone away from his ear to check the time before placing it back. "What time do you have to be there?"
"At 9, Daman. Is she with you? We have a full day planned. I also need to ensure your marriage license is finalised. I have a busy day ahead and the tardiness is unacceptable from all of you!"
Daman took a seat on the bed as Hera held out her hand calling for him. Slowly she leaned up and placed a soft kiss to his jaw leaving a trail down to his chest. What a way to start the morning, Daman thought all too happy. The full blown smile was inevitable as Hera continued to play with him, torturing him with her lips.
Trying his best not to moan on the phone, Daman cleared his throat. "She is with me. We had a late night so we stayed over at Adam's since it was closer. We'll be back shortly, Jedati. Please relax, it's only 7," Daman lied smoothly as he stifled a laugh when Hera bit down on his shoulder.

For obvious reasons he could never tell her the truth. He had no clue where the princess was but he had a feeling Adam took care of her. Neither could he tell his grandmother that he was currently in a budget hotel room naked with Hera. Needless to say she would have a heart attack if not something more serious.
After bidding farewell to the very anxious queen, Daman relaxed into Hera embrace as she hugged him with her bare chest pressing up against his. "Someone is very happy this morning."
Hera giggled softly as her cheeks heated up. If last night was so good with him, imagine what the future could be. "You lied straight through your teeth," Hera teased the duke.
"I don't exactly want to see her land in a hospital bed from shock now," Daman shrugged and admired Hera for just a little bit more before they had to leave. "Come now, you have 2 hours to get to work."
Hera's eyebrows rose up in realisation. She'd forgot about that since she was practically living a dream right now. "What was Adam thinking throwing a party on a Monday?" Hera questioned out loud and proceeded to look for her clothes.
Once dressed, Daman and Hera walked out the building hand in hand. Johan was up and waiting for the duo with a smile on his well seeing the duke and soon-to-be duchess together without any sight of that spoilt princess but unfortunately he'd have to go and pick her up too.

It was nearing 11:30pm and Amaani made sure that the halls were clear. It was habitual for the queen to retire extremely early and Hera was out of sight locked up in her room, most probably asleep after the hectic work day she had pushed through.
Stealthily, she entered Daman's room in her flimsy lace black gown with a matching nightdress underneath. She opted for her feet to be bear showing off her exquisite nail polish with her silky hair open cascading down in luscious tresses.
Amaani walked around the duke's bedroom soaking everything in. She could hear the water running in the bathroom and a wicked grin tugged at her lips. If only she had the guts to enter the bathroom right now...
The princess put the lights off leaving the room dark with only the light from the moon illuminating the bedroom. Quite romantic if you asked her.
Amaani walked all around the room leaving her touch on everything Daman owned. She inspected his watch collection, followed by his tie collection in his closet and then took his pillow and hugged it. It smelt just like him and it was a scent that Amaani would do anything for. If only she could bottle it up and keep it forever, but she'd rather have Daman himself in all his being.
Setting the pillow down, Amaani walked over to the huge floor to ceiling window and admired the view. Her head tipped to the side as she thought about how life with Daman would be. He'd be a beast in bed, she thought naughtily. Would he be able to keep up like Adam because undoubtedly last night was the best sex of her life.
The bathroom door opened and exited Daman with only a towel around his waist. He was surprised to see the silhouette admiring the view from his windows so intently that he wasn't given any attention. He gently smiled thinking that Hera had snuck in. He needed her after having a painfully busy day. He was practically sleep-walking at this point.
Quickly, the duke slipped on a pair of boxers and walked up to his windows emitted making any noise.
From the back, Daman tightly placed his arms around Amaani thinking that it was Hera and buried his face in her neck. The flimsy gown felt so smooth against his bare torso and Daman began to kiss her neck, nipping at the skin.
"I missed you today," he breathed out with his eyes closed. "Let's go to bed, my qiTa."
Daman tugged at Amaani's wrists leading her into his bed. He removed her nightgown and let his fingers linger on her skin longer than necessary. All too soon, he'd wrapped his arms around her and held her close before closing his eyes and letting rest take over.
However he couldn't miss the hair texture that fanned his face when he embraced it, no it wasn't rough and voluminous and unruly, it was soft and silky – Daman's eyes widened in realisation and he quickly untangled himself. He should've taken note of her figure as well, slender and dainty – completely the opposite of Hera.
"Fuck," he cursed softly and hurried out of bed. In his deep state of exhaustion he couldn't even make out that it wasn't Hera. Momentarily, he'd actually forgotten that there were guests staying over.
Amaani's face fell when she realised that he'd realised she wasn't his precious little Hera. Hastily she'd got up just as Daman turned on the lights.
