Ballet teachers are human. And just like humans they have their ups and downs. After a while you can really tell if your teachers in a good mood or a bad one. While typically their mood doesn't affect her teaching it will sometimes affect their correcting. For example, the teacher may get more frustrated with the student and than usual. They typically will not lose their temper but just be a little off. I have to admit I really respect teachers in general not just ballet teachers this is because what they do is pretty hard. Both my parents are in fact teachers that gives me an unique perspective on teachers in general. I feel like ballet teachers might hold their heart on their sleeves in a way. Ballet can be pretty emotional and I have to admit when you correct the student multiple times and they're still not learning it it can be frustrating as well. A couple of days ago actually there was this girl who my teacher was correcting and really telling her that she needed to try. She was really just giving up at that point and barely jumping I could just tell she's done and she didn't really want to be in the class. I know that had to be really frustrating for the teacher but on the flipside you also have the student's perspective. Who knows what the girl could've had bad news that day. A number of different things could be going wrong that could cause her not to try . That is the thing about ballet you have to keep trying have to keep pushing. Even if you're having the worst day possible you have to keep smiling have to act like everything is all right. Personally I've had plenty of classes where I just didn't want to dance but you have to keep dancing you can't give up every, that's just not an option in ballet.
