This story has been so fun to write and the next part will be the last one!!! Ah!! Don't worry though I am planning on writing another ballet story called Ballet tutu. I have a cover ready for it too! Anyways, let's get to today's little story.
Right now I am hanging out waiting for my carpool buddy to be done with his class. And today's class was very interesting so I though I would share with you what happened.
So we left at 5:14 with class starting at 6:00 normally we get there on time. Not today however, traffic was so bad that it was just stop and go and really obnoxious. So my carpool buddy and I were late today, at least we were late together. Still I was really nervous because it was Ms. M's class. Ms M. is the most strict teacher there is at this studio and she is the school principal (my studio had a ballet school and then the company). So I really didn't want to be late to her class.
The guess what? We had a sub!! She's a company dancer by the name of Brittany and she's really nice. Now, at my ballet schools when you come late, you don't do pointe. Brittany on the other hand told the two of us to put on our pointe shoes which made me really happy. She was a laid back teacher who taught very well.
The most interesting thing that happened was that one of the girls left class before I got there to go to the bathroom and halfway through barre she still hadn't got back. We were all worried for her because on the the bathrooms sometimes locks people in. So one of the girls went to check on her and we found out that she she was feeling sick to her stomach. This freaked Miss Brittany out and I can't say I blame her, in he ballet studios, colds can spread like wildfire. So she had us all go downstairs, sounding like a ballet army with our pointe shoes and wash our hands. We then washed our barres as well with some sanitizing wipes. Then one of the other girls was feeling sick too and Miss Brittany told her to leave. She was freaking out and when she found out that the first girl was feeling sick, she cussed which it something I have never heard out of a ballet student in the studio let alone a teacher. So, it was a very interesting class for sure. Anyways, have a great day and just keep dancing!! ~Mia

Through Mist, Veil, and Summer
Anna Lawrence is a quiet girl who'd rather sit and write poetry than bustle about with her peers. After an incident resulting in a panic attack and a trip to the hospital, Anna's foster mother sends her to stay with her aunt and uncle for the summer. Upon arriving in the small mountain town of Glenwood, Anna finds herself caught in the machinations of another world on the other side of the fog: warring witches, animal-headed skypirates, and the boldest, bravest, most interesting girl Anna has ever met. THROUGH MIST, VEIL, AND SUMMER is my homage to Studio Ghibli films. It's a fantasy romance with a dash of adventure and a sprinkling of self-contemplation. It's a story that moves a little slower, a little quieter. It is my fourth novel, written between October 1, 2017 and January 6, 2019.
