"So what are you doing for Thanksgiving break?" I asked Coach Beast as the boys practiced their turns.
"Oh I'm just going to visit my mother and father like normal. We'll probably even start on the Christmas lights. We love Christmas. You?" she asked back as she graded all her players.
"I'll be with my mom and my six other siblings. We usually just relax in our rooms all week and only speak to each other at the dinner table on Thanksgiving since we never get time to relax. We're all in really competitive sports. So it's training all week, everyday, all the time." I said. "Nice work boys!" I then yelled to the team.
"Six siblings?" she asked.
"Yeah." I nodded. "I have a big family."
"I can see that." she nodded. "Good for you."
"It's not always good." I laughed.
"Why do you say that pumpkin?"
"Well I'm the oldest, besides my twin Lottie, and I'm responsible for everyone. If everyone messes up I get the blame. Also mom's always focused with the girls and not me. I'm a boy so I guess I don't have problems that are that important."
"Just be lucky you don't get a period once a month."
"Lottie sometimes gets it twice a month."
"Then you're even luckier kiddo." she smiled.
I nodded with a smile back to her and then she blew her whistle to the players.
"That's it everyone! Shower up! See you soon! Have a good Thanksgiving break!" she then yelled. "Well sorry for living so quickly but I need to get home and pack. My parents live in Arizona and my plane leaves at 7:00 tonight."
"Oh it's cool Coach Beast. Have a good break." I said back to her with a smile.
She hugged me quickly and then said her goodbyes to the players before she left.
I then got up and started gathering my things.

I really want to get out of here.
"Hey Louis?" Ashton asked walking up to me after dance practice.
"Yeah Ashton?" I asked as I turned around to face him. "Also nice job on the turns today. You did well."
"Thanks." he smiled with red cheeks. "So the boys wanted to know if you'd like to go to Steak and Shake with us tonight? It's a Friday night tradition for us."
"Oh really?" I asked surprised. "You guys want me to go with you?"
"Yeah." Ashton nodded. "You're pretty cool Louis."
"Thanks." I smiled. "Yeah I'll be happy to go to Steak and Shake with you guys."
"Alright. Then all of us will see you there at 7:00."
"Cool." I nodded and then he walked off with everyone to go and shower.
"So you're coming with us?" Harry said from behind me.
"Yeah." I sighed turning around to face him.
"Don't plan on talking to me then when we're out." he spoke.
"Harry can you stop this 'bad boy that doesn't give a shit about the world' attitude. It really sucks. You're always turning the volume up of your act around me and I don't like it. You know if you actually got to know me, I'm a pretty cool person."
"It's not an act Louis and you're not that cool." he said looking away from me.
"Harry why do you hate me so much? I know you say it's because I'm gay and all but seriously? You're friends think I'm cool and they're all homophobic like you. Why can they except me and you can't?"
"I don't really want to talk about this Louis." he said starting to walk away.
"Why can't you just let loose a little Harry. Seriously? Have some fun tonight with us. Don't let me being there ruin your time." I called out to him as he left the studio to go shower and leave the school like everyone else.

God I really don't understand him sometimes.
Oh well though.
I then gathered everything up and left for home.
My car finally came from New York so I'm a happy boy.
I got into my car and drove home. It didn't take long and once I did I hurried up and got into the shower. I needed to get all this stink from practice off of me.
Like it's disgusting.
Once I was done with that I got out and blow dried my hair and then I got dressed. I put on black skinny jeans, a grey Adidas tight fitting shirt, and black vans. I then put on a grey beanie to top it off. I actually looked really hot... and really straight.
I then left my house after telling my mom where I was going and got into my car. It didn't take very long before I found the Steak and Shake. So when I did I parked, walked in, and was greeted with a lot of "Louis' here!" being shouted in the restaurant.
I got a few glares from old people but fuck em. I'm actually fitting in with the popular boys.
"Hey guys." I smiled as I walked over to the football team.
"Hey Louis." Ashton smiled. "The only seat that's left is by Harry. He's kinda in a bad mood so sorry dude."
I looked and saw Harry wasn't in his seat.
"Where is he?" I then asked.
"Bathroom." Justin answered.
I nodded and then sat down in the seat that didn't have a cup sitting in front of it.
"So how is everyone?" I asked.
"Pretty good." they all answered in unison.
"Tommo?" Luke then spoke up.
"Yes Luke?" I asked.
"First of all call me Hemmings. We call all the team players by their last name." Luke then said to me.
"But I'm not a part of the team?" I said confused.
"Oh you are now." Calum interrupted.
"I am?" I asked amazed as I saw all the boys nodding.
"You're a cool guy." Shawn spoke.
"Well then." I said. "What's up Hemmings?"
This felt so cool.
"I just wanted to ask how my gran-de ja's where looking." He then said.
I laughed.
"That bad?" he asked panicked.
"I mean you do look like a dear that was just birthed." Micheal said.
Luke looked heart broken.
"No Clifford." I said shaking my head. "Hemmings is good."
"Then why'd you laugh?" Luke asked.
"Because the jump is pronounced grande jete not gran-de ja." Harry said as he sat down. "It's not that hard Hemmings."
"Oh like you know anything about ballet Styles." Luke said rolling his eyes.
"Actually I do. Gemma teaches Lyrical and she is now taking Ballet. It's all she talks about when I see her now." he said leaning back in his chair.
I looked at him a little shocked.
He looked at me for a few seconds and then turned his head to the conversation that was taking place at the table.
The rest of the night Harry didn't speak much but I felt like he was watching me when I wasn't looking. I know I must be crazy, but I felt it. I don't know why, but I did.
"Well that was fun." Shawn said as he stretched out.
"Well I'm having a party at my house on Tuesday." Justin then spoke. "You're all invited as usual and that includes you Tommo."
"You mean that Bieber?" I asked.
Woe. I've never been invited to a party like this before.
"Yeah." he said nodding. "Also bring a few friends along too."
"Alright." I said nodding. "You got it."
Wow. My first party.

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
