Asui and Tokoyami made their way to the tall building when the announcement for Sato and Kirishima had rung. Their defeat made everyone on edge about what to expect from their opponent. They entered a large colosseum that was tall with a few floors on the wall. It was a giant circle with an exit in another room.

When they entered they were greeted with a dimly lit building. Everything was dark but still seeable as the roof had black tinted windows. The door slammed shut behind which made them tense up as if anything could happen from this point on. They instinctively got close to each other while looking around the room when an eerie silence filled the room.

"In order to pass, we must pass through the designated gate, right?" Asui mentioned.

"If Delirious intends to fight us in the dark, then my quirk is perfect for this. Dark shadow!" Tokoyami told.

He summoned Dark Shadow as the bird entity looked massive compared to the two. Although they had some type of plan, Asui could not shake the feeling that something is up. She kept telling herself why would it be dark in here when they know this is Tokoyami's strength. She can make do but it is hard to see.

"We should head further up. I do not want to be caught down here when he comes. He is probably at the gate guarding it." Asui considered.

She was interrupted when a loud bang echoed inside the building. They jolted at the sudden sound of scraping metal and footsteps were heard all around them.

"Dark shadow behind us," Tokoyami ordered.

"Ok!" Dark shadow said.

The three of them formed a triangle as they searched for Delirious who was still nowhere to be seen. Until they heard a voice echo among the commotions, an exceptionally creepy voice.

"Are you out of your mind..." Delirious echoed.

"We are all out of minds..."

"The oceans of time flow every day..."

"Join my army and become..."

"Delirious..."

It sounded like nothing but nonsense that was incoherent. But this kept them on their guard and they were anticipating an attack.

"Asui, be ready for anything. He's just trying to rile us up." Tokoyami assured.

"We shouldn't stay here if he is going to attack. We need to get higher." Asui analyzed.

They had a good plan if it was going to work. Asui was about to give him the signal but the commotion stopped. The deafening silence returned when a machete landed right next to them. This startled them as they frantically searched around.

"Froggy..."

"Birdy..."

"Are you thirsty..."

"Wanna become..."

"Delirious..."

A heavy thump was heard as they all darted their heads towards the sound. The dark made it hard to see but they could make out a noticeable glow of blue eyes peering at them.

"Don't try to run away... Only prey run away..." Delirious droned.

Fear would be an understatement, what they were feeling was their fear of the unknown. Was it death or not knowing what is to come? They did not know as they stood in shock at the whole ordeal.

"Let's all become Delirious!" Delirious thundered.

His mask turned into a creepy grin that frightened them as Delirious got on all fours and sprinted towards them.

"Asui! I'm throwing you!" Tokoyami shouted.

He wrapped her in his shadow before throwing her in the air. While using the momentum, he twirled around and knocked Delirious back away from him.

"Tokoyami!" Asui exclaimed.

She returned the favor by flinging her tongue out and wrapping Tokoyami bringing him with her. Together they both made up a floor and away from Delirious.

"This was a little unprecedented but I'm glad the plan still works," Asui said.

They stared back at Delirious who already recovered from the attack. He gazed back at them before sprinting for the machete stuck in the ground. He snatched it and threw it like a throwing knife. The machete spun through the air before stabbing into the concrete wall. Asui and Tokoyami stepped back when Delirious jumped onto the machete using it to propel himself. He landed a few feet away from them with a smile on his face.

"The Delirious army has always room for two more. Would you like to join, forcibly?" Delirious suggested.

He kept spouting out the army and wanting them to join it. At this point, they think he is not well in the head. It would be rude to call out what it was but they think he is insane.

"No wonder why they call him Delirious. Asui, we need to stay away from him as possible. It would be dangerous to fight him in close combat." Tokoyami suggested.

"Let's race to the gate. It's our best chance to win if we are to avoid fighting Delirious." Asui agreed.

They were close to the hallway that would lead them to the gate. Delirious pulled out a metal bat baseball and charged after them. Dark Shadow kept Delirious at bay as they exchange blows. A baseball was swung right in the top of the Shadow's head. Only for it to swipe at Delirious but was met with a quick block.

Asui and Tokoyami used this time to run towards the entrance of a long hall. At the end of the hall was a bright, white light, if they got through they might have a chance to win. Asui preceded forward while Tokoyami maintained the Delirious stay behind them. He was aiming to keep the masked man from getting in front of them.

Asui turned around as Delirious was pushing back the big dark bird. Dark Shadow was losing size and power with them getting closer to light. Asui leaped around the hallway before appearing behind Delirious and sweeping from his feet with her long tongue. He was lifted in the air for a split second when Dark Shadow shoved him into the metal wall.

"Damn it." Delirious gritted.

He was pummeled but managed to get back on his feet. Asui wasted no time in getting behind Tokoyami to see if she can try her attack again.

"Frog girl over there is a sneaky one." Delirious complimented.

"Dark Shadow!" Tokoyami shouted.

It charged forward and slammed into Delirious who put his baseball to block it. He was being pushed back so Delirious backflipped away.

"I like being sneaky too." Delirious boasted.

He positioned his body in a low manner before springing into a crazed barrage of jumps. Delirious bounced around the room like Asui albeit a little faster as he zipped like a hockey puck. His flurry stayed in one spot but that changed when he launched for them.

The two students could not keep track of Delirious and were unsure how they should deal with this. He kept getting closer with no sign of him stopping.

"How do we stop this absurdity? He'll attack us from any direction." Tokoyami troubled.

Asui was thinking about how they could slow him down without risking him being in front of them. They need to stun him for a moment so they can reach the gate. She watched closely at Delirious movements when she noticed something. He was moving in the shape of a triangle with the widest opening being straight in the middle. Asui formulated a plan that hopefully will work.

"Tokoyami, start running towards the end. I tell you to throw me right through Delirious." Asui told.

"Are you sure? You'll be caught in his barrage." Tokoyami worried.

"Don't worry you'll see an opening to strike. Just be ready to take him down." Asui ascertained.

Tokoyami was surprised that she had a plan of attack. He heard how confident her reassurance was so he had faith in what she had in store. Both ran towards the light at the end of the tunnel. All the while having the Delirious bouncing after them like a mad man.

"Keep running!" Delirious yelled.

He was getting closer as he wanted to pummel them with an onslaught of blunt strikes from his bat. The thought of him winning this thing made him grin underneath his mask. He still remembers that he has to hold back even though he has these restraints on his wrist. Delirious was not gonna hurt them but he loves it when they start running. He is considering releasing a little bit of his insanity.

He was about to do one final push off the ground and dive for them. Delirious launched for them with a bat in hand and a crazy look in his eyes. The two students halted in their tracks and turn around to face him.

"Now!" Asui said.

Tokoyami used Dark Shadow to grab Asui and throw her right for Delirious. The two met in midair and crossed paths when Asui whipped her tongue out as it wrapped around Delirious's bat while he watched in confusion. He was shocked when his bat was yanked from his hands.

"Hey! That's min--"

He was interrupted when he was snatched out of the air by Dark Shadow and hurled across the hallway.

*Crow Screams!!!*

The sound of Delirious screaming as he flew to the other end of the dark hallway. Asui along with Tokoyami sprinted to the exit hoping that this was it. Tokoyami smiled at Asui knowing that the plan had worked and now they just needed to cross to win.

They made out of the darkness and into the light where it was the same building interior as before. They stopped to look over and find out that the gate they expected to be undefended was guarded. Their shocked expressions were apparent they found that a human-sized teddy bear was standing guard like a bouncer. Arms cross with a mean expression.

"Why is there a giant teddy bear just standing there? Does that have something to do with Delirious and his quirk?" Tokoyami wondered.

"Hm, it doesn't look too menacing. Although why would it be guarding the gate." Asui said.

Their conversation gave their position away as the bear pointed at them with his paw. It stopped on the ground before the bear's body bulged in size. Its whole body began to grow in size reaching a height above the two student's level. From a human-sized to a full-story building, the bear let out a roar that blasted wind at them.

They held their arms up from the intense gust of wind. It was shocking to think about what was happening right now. Asui and Tokoyami never thought they be fighting a bear-sized Godzilla. The bear kept roaring at them keeping them stationary as they figured out what to do.

"Asui!" Tokoyami shouted.

A large bear hand came swooping from the side snatching Asui as the bear stopped his roar and reached for Tokoyami. He was distracted by Asui suddenly being captured only for him to be grabbed by the big bear.

Teddy bear caught both of them in his hands as his master ordered. He turned around so that everyone in the monitoring room could see that they were caught.

Midoriya and Uraraka stared in shock that the bear and turned in this giant stuffed teddy. It looked like it have a good grasp among the two students who were struggling to get out.

"Oh no. How is that even possible for that bear to become that size? Asui and Tokoyami have no way of getting out of there. Let alone winning." Uraraka observed.

"They managed to keep Delirious away but I would have never seen this coming. Delirious likely made sure that the teddy bear would be standing guard while he distracted them so they could get caught. Now he just has to subdue them and the game would be over." Midoriya analyzed.

"Wait, Deku! Look!" Uraraka called out.

Asui and Tokoyami could not even budge or even let out a free hand from the grasp of the bear's hand. The giant teddy stood still and waited for his master to return.

"This is a powerful being," Tokoyami said.

"I'm the same." Dark Shadow cited.

"Dark Shadow, you at least need to get through the gate," Tokoyami told.

"Got it!" Dark Shadow said.

It quickly dove for the gate as the teddy bear made no move to intercept Dark Shadow. The gate was wide open for someone to pass through with the entity almost near. What should have been an easy win was forfeited when a spinning bat came from the side. Like a boomerang, the metal bat whacked Dark Shadow right on the noggin. The bat lost momentum as it flung in the air only for Delirious to snatch the bat and follow through with a downward strike.

"Time for Delirious to get serious!" Delirious fumed.

He was not going to let this birdman shadow get away for tossing him like trash. Delirious plunged from above to smack Dark Shadow. The entity dashed away so it would not get hit as Delirious missed and destroyed the ground below him.

"You and I have unfinished business birdman. Prepare to feel the might of a thousand Delirious's!" Delirious taunted.

Delirious sprinted forward with Dark Shadow doing the same as both clashed into a flurry of attacks. Both were caught in a battle while Asui and Tokoyami remained stuck.

"We can't get through against him head-on, huh?" Tokoyami supposed.

"But if he can reach, then we have a chance. Have Dark Shadow take this, Tokoyami." Asui alluded.

"'This'? What?" Tokoyami queried.

"Don't... Look too closely... Delirious will notice... besides... it's... really... gross..." Asui gulped.

She began to essentially hurl something that she had kept inside her. Meanwhile, the fight between Delirious and Dark Shadow was going on.

"You bird shadow! I eat darknesses like you while I'm sleeping. Come and get some!" Delirious yelled.

"Dark Shadow!" Tokoyami called.

Dark Shadow quickly floated to where Asui's hand was grabbing something but to make sure it was a hidden exchange.

"Calm down. It's fine." Asui assured.

Dark Shadow soared through the air to meet Delirious one final time.

"Because Tokoyami and Dark Shadow... are strong." Asui acknowledged.

Dark Shadow barreled for the masked man while Delirious gripped his baseball bat with both hands. He reeled his bat behind and positioned himself in a batting stance. His blues eyes staring at the bird shadow coming his way.

"Home run bitches!" Delirious shouted.

Dark Shadow reached Delirious with a punch of its own before it was struck with a bat that propelled the shadow like a baseball. Delirious follows through with a home run hit from the home plate. He smiled seeing that Dark Shadow was flung away from him just as he intended.

Asui and Tokoyami's eyes widen in shock that such power was behind that one swing for Dark Shadow to be hurled back at them. Even though it was coming back, their eyes continued to follow Dark Shadow as the trajectory was heading over them for the big teddy holding them.

Delirious expression changed from that of a proud winner to a panicked man. He realized where his ball was going to hit. Everyone watched as Dark Shadow was shot right at the head of the teddy bear. The bear was stunned to see a dark bird crash against his face.

The sudden blow sent the teddy bear staggering backward which promptly let go of the students.

"Oh shit! Teddy Bear!!" Delirious yelled.

He threw his bat to the side and ran for the giant teddy bear. Asui and Tokoyami were overcome with solace from that unexpecting occurrence as they fell to the ground.

"Tsui!" Tokoyami shouted.

Not having to command, Dark Shadow caught and wrapped Asui to protect her from the fall. They both came dropped to the ground. Tokoyami slammed against the ground but Asui landed safely with the help of Dark Shadow.

"Asui! Are you alright?" Tokoyami said.

"I'll be fine," Asui ascertained.

Teddy Bear stumbles back as its rounded feet pounded the ground. Delirious ran forth when he stopped when he saw that teddy was about to fall. The giant teddy slowly tilted its head forward before it appeared to be falling toward the ground.

"I got you teddy!!" Delirious cried out.

He stopped right at where the teddy's head was falling as a shadow covered Delirious. The masked man stood there with his arms wide open not caring if he was crushed. Apart from Delirious, the students knew to jump to the sidelines so they would not be crushed.

"Uh oh," Delirious said.

He realized that it was a not-so-great idea to have him under where teddy fell. Teddy Bear dropped right on top of Delirious as he disappeared under its head. A blast of dirt surrounded the area as Asui and Tokoyami covered themselves from the shock wave.

Once the dust settled, Asui got up where she saw the torso of the teddy bear. She coughed from the accumulation of dust then she made her way to the head to see if Delirious was okay. There she met up with Tokoyami who had the same idea. At the head, Delirious's one arm was sticking out with his fingers jagged. One noticeable thing was the cuffs attacked his wrist which meant that they had won. Except for a sense of dread filled them at the possibility of a loss of Delirious. Their faces darkened at the idea while the rest in the monitoring room stood there shocked.

"Oh no," Uraraka mumbled.

She covered her mouth while Deku did not mouth another word. The chance of their being the death of a hero during the exam did not even cross his mind. So it was a shock that Delirious could be smushed.

"We need to get him out of there!" Asui commanded.

Without a second thought, Asui, and Tokoyami began to lift the teddy's head but could not due to how unusually heavy it was. Sweat started to pour from their faces trying to save Delirious.

They were pushing their hardest when the soft sound of someone patting was heard. Asui and Tokoyami stopped what they were doing to see the arm moving around.

"Uh... Hello. Is anyone there?" Delirious mumbled.

His voice muffle under Teddy's head but moved his only free arm. Everyone was overcome with relief knowing that he was somewhat alive. Under the head, Delirious managed to give out an upside-down thumbs up.

"I'm still alive you bitches." Delirious muffled.

Asui looked at Tokoyami feeling calmed while also knowing that they had completed the exam.

Teddy Bear began to morph from a giant to a small toy bear revealing Delirious who inhaled a deep breath after being buried. On top of him, now laid a sleeping teddy bear as Delirious rubbed its back.

"Damn, sorry teddy." Delirious apologized.

"We're just glad that you guys are ok. A consequence of your powerful swing." Tokoyami said.

Delirious got up dusting himself and teddy bear from the dust while holding him like a sleeping baby.

"I know right. I almost got you guys too. You guys are crazy strong and it seems I am out." Delirious noted.

He saw that the cuff around him meant the students had passed.

"I figured if we were unable to move, then this would be the only way to win, so I swallowed them right away. I can take things in and out of my stomach. Of course, I did not anticipate this outcome." Asui explained.

"That's so cool. You can put things in your stomach like that. If I had that power I would swallow so many things so I can pull them out for later. Ya know." Delirious told.

Asui expressed a confused look at Delirious's statement but did enjoy his random phrases. All the more reason for her favorite hero to be out on her top list.

"They passed! Dark Shadow and Frog! There were able to use both quirks well together." Deku praised.

"Wooooo... I'm just glad that Delirious was ok." Uraraka told.

"Team Asui and Tokoyami have passed!" The intercom announced.

"No but seriously you guys were awesome. To think I would be beaten by a bunch of kids." Delirious remarked.

"I am delighted," Tokoyami said.

"Ribbit, Ribbit."
