"I'll do it!" Eren said with determination. "I'm not sure wether I can or not. I'll do it!"

"Well said" Pixis smiled as he held and patted Eren's shoulders proudly. "You're quite the man"

And with that, it made me chuckle from what the Garrisons Commander said as Eren glared at me, playfully.

'You'll always be a child inside, Eren' I thought as Pixis went over the edge.

"Staff officers, Assemble! Prepare to strategize " He shouted

"What? Seriously?! Calling this plan 'optimistic' would be an understatement" Armin spoke beside me. "How can we just go ahead with it?"

"I agree with you" Eren said From behind us. "But it's pointless to question his decision. I'm sure Commander Pixis can see something we can't"

"Something we can't see?" Armin asked.

"I mean he is the commander of the Garrison Regiment, there's a reason for him to achieve that title." I added.

"Besides, there's probably a fundamental issue to deal with before executing the plan. I'm sure the Commander is fully cognizant of that" Eren continued.

'I guess Eren gained a few iq from all the titan power he got.'

"Which means...." Armin realized it, so do I as well.

"The titans aren't our only enemies."

"Time is of the essence." Kitz voice spoke as we turned around, seeing two people behind the commander. "We have a role for you to fulfill, young soldiers"

'I ain't as young as them tho' I brushed out the thought to not ruin the moment.

Everyone on the ground seemed so uncomfortable, unstable and unsure of the plan. Some people were about to fight but stopped. Some showing signs of anxiety.

I hung out with Armin and Mikasa as Eren was taken away by Commander Pixis. Armin was discussing plan with two Garrisons and Mikasa was normally looking at Eren. As for me, I was looking at the not so quiet Trost District.

'I wonder what memories were hidden in that basement for me. Maybe some useless things or so. It would make sense that dad said that I lost my memories. I couldn't even remember what I learned below the age of 9 and where the hell is that old man?'

"Attention!!!" Commander Picks shouted as I broke out of thought and covered my sensitive ears. I winced at the small pain and looked back at Eren and Commander Pixis.

"I will now elaborate the plan to recapture Trost District. The objective of thisbplan is to seal the hole in the destroyed gate!" Commander Pixis shouted.

I don't know if the people down by 50 meters can hear it but by their reactions they have. The people looked at Pixis in disbelief.

"I will now explain how we intend to seal the hole!" Commander Picks welcomed Eren as he stepped forward. "Belonging to the training corps, This is Eren Yeager!"

I bet the 104th training corps can't believe it as well. Eren did the salute.

"He is the product of a successful top secret titan transformation research. He is capable of generating a titan's body and moving it according to it's will! In his titan form, he'll lift the large boulder in the vicinity of the front gate, carry it to the destroyed gate and seal it! Your duty is..... to protect him from other titans until he's moved the boulder!

"There's no need to fight the titans?" I heard the guy that was planning with Armin spoke.

"I-im sorry" Armin apologized. "It's my place as a recruit to say anything"

"Forget that. Continue explaining" The guy said as I just focused at what Armin and the two Garrisons were planning. I learned that their names were Anka and Gustav.

"Titans generally attack in response to large groups of people, so if we could take advantage of that and act bait to group them close to the wall. I believe we could keep them away from Eren with minimal contact overall. Furthermore, the baited titan can be taken by cannons, preventing any casualties" Armin explained.

"Though, we can't leave Eren unguarded" I added as Armin was suprised that I was there. " We should give a small elite squad to escort him just in case"

Armin nodded in agreement.

"All that said, we cannot avoid fighting the titans that enter through the hole. It'll be up to the abilities of the elite squad at that point." Armin finished

"Okay understood. Let's replan using that as a basis" Gustav said.

"But this plan assumes that Eren can reliably carry the boulder to seal the hole" Armin spoke.

"True. There's something to be said about putting soldiers at risk. When the foundation of a plan is anything but reliable but Commander Pixis' reasoning is valid as well" Gustav answered.

"Right. We also need to worry about time. Even as we speak, the titans continue to invade." Anka said as my gaze went on the hole that titans came in. "As more make their way into the town, recapturing it would be impossible"

"Not to mention, the chances that Wall Rose is breached increases" Gustav added.

"And Lastly..... There's a limit to how long people can act with fear as their driving force." Anka added.

My senses picked up as I left Armin, Anka and Gustav and went to Mikasa looking at crowd who was in chaos.

"Heed my command!" Pixis shouted obviously irritated. "Those who desert us now will be pardoned! Once a man surrenders to their fear of titans, they are no longer fit for battle! Those who've experienced that fear are free to leave! Furthermore, those of you who want your parents, siblings and loved ones to experience that fear for themselves can also leave!"

After Commander Pixis' enlightened speech, people turned to become more determined.

I look back at Armin who was also listening to Commander Pixis with Gustav and Anka behind him.

I look checked how much gas I had and gestured Gustav to lead me to their gas supply. We both went down the stairs.

As we arrived at the gas supply, I saw the same young blonde girl after the graduation ceremony.

"Hey what are you doing here?" I asked confusingly as I pointed at the direction of the girl.

"What are you pointing at and who are you talking to?" Gustav asked as I look back at the young girl who was still right there.

The young girl placed her finger on her mouth to quiet me as I did.

"I'm... probably hallucinating. Let's go" I said as we both went away. I once looked back at the young girl but she wasn't there anymore.

'Why does she keep on appearing on such certain situations?' I shaked the thought and continued to focus on my objection.

"Eren, I'm sorry" Armin said as I came up to them from filling up my gas. "In the end, I made you bear all the responsibility."

"Remember what I said?" Eren spoke. " You have the ability to seem out the right answers. I'll bet on that."

"Eren, I should come-"

"Don't say you're coming with me. You and Y/N are assigned to the luring unit, right?" Eren cutted of Mikasa.

"But... We can't leave you alone" Mikasa said.

'That was what I was about to say that but..... I think I have hope for Eren to do this by himself.' I thought.

"If you're alone, you'll-" Mikasa got cut off by Eren again as he went up to her.

"Cut it out already!" Eren exclaimed. "I'm neither your little brother nor a kid! I've said it already!"

Mikasa dropped her head. I was about to pat her shoulder for reassurance but we got called by someone.

"Ackerman, Y/N Yeager" The same Garrison who was with us back in the elite squad said. "You two will be part of the elite squad guarding Eren Yeager. We need your skills."

'Well that's a relief' I thought as Mikasa's face lit up and I look back at Armin knowing that we'll split up.

"Lets go! Time to move out!" The Garrison said as we ran at the opposite direction of Armin.

'See you later, Armin. Bring back yourself in one piece when I'll come back to see you'

We ran with the elite squad. I was infront of Mikasa and Eren.

"Eren, are you feeling okay?" Mikasa asked Eren for the 3rd time.

"Yeah" Eren answered sounding a bit annoyed.

"Eren-"

"I'm telling you that I'm fine. A lot better than we were cornered earlier" Eren answered and once annoyed again. I sweat dropped at the duo.

'I can't imagine if that were to happen to me. No offense, Mikasa'

"Quit playing house, Yeager" I turned around and saw Rico Brzenska who was between Eren and Mikasa.

"I didn't mean to" Eren replied.

"To think we have to entrust the fate of a mankind to a spoiled kid like you..." a middle aged looking man with buzz cut hair said as I glared at him.

'Such a boomer. You don't know what we went through'

"That's enough all of you! We're approaching the route of the boulder!" A garrison said as the sight of the boulder was seen. "From the looks of it, there are no titans around. Seems like everyone successfully lured them off"

"Let me tell you something, Yeager. In all likelihood, no small number of soldiers will lose their lives executing this plan. All for your sake. They're our fellow comrades, seniors and juniors. Naturally as a soldier, we're all prepared to die anytime but you know, they're not ignorant pawns" Rico said to Eren from behind me.

'I'll die anytime as a soldier but.... I won't let myself die without knowing my complete memories of this life' I thought and stopped listening to Rico as I focus the mission. I quickly took out my blades.

"It's here. Let's go!" The Garrison said as we jump from the wall to the boulder.

'This will be the first time that humanity will retrieve what's ours'

I landed on a roof just a bit far away from the boulder until lightning struck beside it. My eyes darted to Mikasa who was just behind the boulder.

The smoke from the lightning revealed Eren in his titan form as it shouted.

'Why is that brat taking so long?' I wondered as I zipped as fast as I can through the houses, seeing Eren going up to Mikasa and punching the roof she once stood.

'What the walls is Eren doing?!' I thought as I found Mikasa up in the air who had dodged Eren's punch.

I landed on a small tower as Mikasa went to Eren and landed on his nose while her wires grip to Eren's head.

'Eren, you're not controlling this aren't you?'
