I didn't test read it, if you find mistakes you can keep 'em.
The set was filled with people.
Everyone running around, yelling orders to one another and in the middle of it was Karl.
He was used to this. Jimmy's videos were always big productions, with big camera teams, especially in a location as big as this one.
But today he felt everything, but the excitement he usually had when he was invited to a video. He was nervous and fidgety, felt like he was in the way whenever the next person walked past him or accidentally pushing him.
Maybe it was the fact, that this was a big deal or maybe it was the fact, that in the back of his mind he was impatiently waiting for a message from Sapnap.
Sapnap had told him he'd fly out to the UK today and transcontinental flights were always a thing Karl wasn't very fond of.
When he found out that there was a storm over the atlantic, he grew even less fond of the idea of his boyfriend taking the next plane right into a storm.
He was checking his phone, had a shiver run down his spine when Jimmy walked up to him. "Are you okay?", he asked, clearly worried, "You look very pale"
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I'm just nervous cause Sapnap still didn't text me and his flight was supposed to land a while ago. I also didn't expect this production to be this big.", Karl told him, thought being honest was the best option when talking to Jimmy.
"Maybe just go into the big tent over there and sit down, I'll get you something to eat and drink. You look like you'd pass out any second", Jimmy replied, waving over Chandler, "Can you take him over there?"
"Yes, no problem.", the other said, walking him over to the tent, while Jimmy ran up to someone from the catering.
Karl started checking his phone again.

Still no text. This was driving him crazy.
He googled the flight number Sapnap had given him, but nothing came up.
He texted Sapnap.
I can't find your flight under
the number you gave me
I'm worried
Text me when you can
I love you
He was a bit shaky and Chandler tried his best to distract him. Showed him pictures he and Chris had taken of Tucker a few days ago, but not even the little ray of sunshine could get Karls mind to stop racing.
"I really appreciate it, but I right now I can't concentrate on what you're saying", Karl stopped him, "I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry, it's okay if you feel that way"
A moment later Jimmy walked in with a bowl of strawberries and soda, put it on the table they were sitting on.
"Here you go", he said and Karl nodded. "Thank you."
Reached for the soda, opened the can and when he was about to take sip his phone made a noise. Quickly he took it out of his pocket, unlocked it hastily.
I'm so sorry darling
There was a huge line
at the passport control
I landed safely, don't worry <3
I love you too!
Karl sighed relieved, tears forming in his eyes. "Oh thank god", he whispered, placed the phone on the table and ran both of his hands through his hair.
Chandler patted his back and said: "Hey, no need to cry. He landed safely."
"I'm just really relieved.", Karl mumbled, wiping the few tears away.
He replied to Sapnaps text quickly.
God you scared me
for a second
Glad you're safe
Have fun with the others!!
He put his phone down again, sighed once more before he took the soda again.
"Thank you guys, by the way, you're really good friends", he said to Chandler and Jimmy, had the two of them smiling.
"Yeah, we're pretty great", Jimmy said, nodding and Chandler agreed. "Just the best dudes", he said, gave himself a pat on the shoulder.

A while after Jimmy was on his way again, talking to various people, planning the shots they'd do and when.
Chandler and Karl talked for a bit and the unwell feeling in his gut slowly dissolved, left only the constant feeling of missing his boyfriend and the nervous excitement for the video shoot.
He just ate the last strawberry from the bowl Jimmy had brought when said one suddenly appeared again, this time a camera man by his side. "Are you ready? Or do you need another minute? I want you to be in the intro"
"I'm fine, we can start", he replied, standing up, following Jimmy to the set.
"So, remember last weekend, when you told me you're missing Sapnap?", Jimmy asked out of the sudden and a little confused Karl nodded. Why did he need to bring that up now? "Well, he he missed you too"
It was already dark outside, but it took Jimmy only one hand wave to get someone to turn the stadium lights on.
And in the middle of the football field Sapnap waited for Karl with a wide smile.
Karl was paralyzed, jaw dropping.
"Hey, darling!", Sapnap said and walked towards him. Karl started smiling widely, ran towards him, tackling him so hard they fell on the floor. "You idiot, I thought you where in the UK!", Karl said, when they sat up, holding Sapnaps face gently.
He couldn't quiet understand what was going on. "You said we could meet up after you're back from the UK, I thought I wouldn't see you for another two months", Karl said, tears dropping from his eyes, down his cheeks. Sapnap gently wiped the tears away, leaned in to kiss him softly.
"I wanted this to be a surprise", he helped Karl stand up, "Because, I did a little thing."
He reached into his pocket and held Karl a key. "I bought us a house, here in North Carolina.", he said and Karl starred at him and then at the key in disbelief. "No, you didn't", he said quietly, shaking his head while more and more tears ran down his cheeks. He hugged Sapnap again, sobbed.
"Yeah, I did. I don't want us to be states away from each other anymore, especially not when", he paused reached into his pocket and went down on one knee, "when we're engaged. Karl Jacobs, will you make me the happiest man alive and be my husband?"
Karls heart felt like it was about to explode, whole body shaking. He nodded, sobbing so hard he could barely get out words. "Yes- God, yes I do", he sobbed, before he kissed Sapnap again and again.
Suddenly Karl heard fireworks explode above them and they formed a heart.
And at the same time everyone on set yelled: "Congratulations!"
Karl was smiling, wiping off his tears as best as he could. He giggled and Sapnap smiled widely, whole face lit up. "I missed you", he said, looking at Karl fondly.
"I missed you too", Karl replied, "And if you don't give me the most heartfelt kiss ever, right now. I will cry again"
"Well, I can't make my fiancee cry", Sapnap said, leaning in lips almost touching, "So you better get ready for the best kiss of your life"
"Just kiss me you nimrod", Karl giggled and Sapnap sighed, closed the little distance between them.
Karl relaxed in his arms and felt his heartbeat slowly calming itself from all those surprises. Sapnap made him feel home, like there was nothing he needed to be worried about.
Sapnap tasted like cold coca cola and citrus, like late summer nights and early autumn mornings. It made Karl the happiest he had been in a long time.
Gently Sapnap pulled away just a little, whispered: "I have to be the luckiest man alive"

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
