"You could've told me earlier that you're the prince and that those parents I'm meeting are the kings", Karl said, nervously fidgeting with the button on his suit.
"I'm sorry, but there was never the right moment", Sapnap replied, straightening his tie, before he held Karl his arm and straightened his posture.
"Well, I guess I should've been suspicious with how you act", Karl said and took the offer, holding onto his arm.
They started walking over the bridge towards the palace, all guards bowing down to them, before opening the gate.
"What do you mean, how I act?"
"How you dance with me like we're in a ballroom, the way you bow down when you kiss my hand, how you can be elegant so effortlessly", Karl listed, "Oh and the way you're my prince from the fariytales"
Sapnap smiled, leaned over to kiss his cheek, before he guided him towards the dining hall. "I love you", he whispered, right in front of the door and Karl smiled. "I love you too", he whispered back and then the door was opened.
Karl expected the kind of royals he had read about, elegant, strict, suffisticated.
But his worries were quickly taken, when he saw the two kings dancing and giggling next to the dinner table.
Involuntarily he smiled. "Those are you're dads?", he asked quietly and Sapnap nodded. "They kinda remind me of us", Karl said, "You dance with me like that too"
Sapnap chuckled. "Yeah, I do, you're right"
Finally the kings noticed them and walked up to them with big smiles.
"You must be Karl, Sapnap doesn't stop talking about you!", King Halo said and Karl nodded. "Yes, that's me!", he turned to Sapnap, "You talk about me?"
Shyly the other nodded. "I do, you make me happy, what can I say?"

Karl smiled and at the same time Skeppy nudged Bads arm. "Like father like son"
"Oh, shut up you muffinhead", Bad replied, smiling at him fondly.
"So, do we wanna sit down and eat?", Sapnap then asked and his dad's quickly brought them to the table.
Karl looked around, spotted a family painting in the wall. Sapnap as a little kid, climbing onto his dad's lap and Skeppy and Bad looking down at him smiling.
"I love that painting, it's very cute", he said and Bad immediately got excited.
"I think so too! Sapnap was five and he used to try and climb everything he could and when he'd reach the top he would scream that he's the king of the world"
They laughed and Sapnap blushed.
"Dad, don't", he said, looking embarrassed.
Karl kissed his cheek. "Don't worry, I think it's adorable" Sapnap smiled, took his hand and caressed the back of it with his thumb, as the conversation continued.
"You know the Nether Tales? I read those to Sapnap when he was younger", Skeppy asked surprised and Karl nodded. "Yes, I once helped a brute that was trapped and got the book as a gift." "Well, then you'll have to see the garden, it's build after one of the tales", Bad suggested. "I'd love to"
Sapnap leaned over to him and whispered in his ear: "I'll kiss you under the rose arch"
Karl smiled and nodded. "That's cute, you can absolutely do that"
"Like father like son", Bad now commented looking at Skeppy, remembering how said one used to whisper into his ear when they were Sapnaps age.
"Damn right, that's my kid", Skeppy said and chuckled.
The evening went by and they finished their food, talking and laughing.
"I'll just clean off the table real quick and then we can go into the garden", Bad said and Karl looked at him confused.

"Bad likes to do chores like this himself", Skeppy said. "Yeah, I think it's fun"
"May I help?", Karl asked, "The more hands, the quicker the chore is done and it's also more fun"
Bad smiled at him and nodded. "If you want to, you can absolutely help me", he looked over at Sapnap, "You brought in a real nice young man"
Sapnap stood up and took a few plates too, nodding. "I know", he kissed Karls cheek, "The most perfect one of them all"
"I can't be the most perfect one, cause thats already you", Karl said and smiled at him before following Bad into the kitchen.
They cleaned up and Karl got into a nice conversation with Bad, listening to him talking about Flames.
"As in fire?", he had asked and Bad shook his head. "No, in the Nether that's what you in the overworld would call a... Uhm... What's the word again?" "Soulmate. You mean soulmates", Sapnap said, walking in with more plates. "Exactly, thank you.", Bad said, before turning back to Karl, "It's like a soulmate, but with an even stronger bond. Blaze can feel it, when someone is their Flame. It's not only being with each other for a few life times, it's being together since time first started ticking."
Karl looked fascinated. "Sapnap? Do you feel that thing for me?" "Yes, I do", the other said and smiled fondly, "Ever since I first laid eyes on you, darling"
"Really?", Karl asked excitedly, walking towards him, "How does it feel?"
"Ancient and warm. It's fuzzy and strong and it's like there's something pulling my heart close to yours. It feels like home and safety"
Karl teared up a little from his happiness, hugged him tightly.
"I love you", he said and kissed his head.
"I love you too, my darling blossom", Sapnap replied, kissed him as they slowly started letting go.
"You two make me remember how I felt when I first had that feeling with Skeppy. It's so wonderful", Bad said and then noticed his husband standing in the doorframe, smirking. "I remember how you told me and you thought I wouldn't believe you that we belong together", Skeppy said and then walked up to a blushing Bad, kissing him gently, "But I trusted you and I've never been happier"
Bads face almost resembled a tomato by now and he smiled. "I'm really happy with you too, love" "And that's all that matters"
"We'll go into the garden already, you two just come after us", Sapnap said, one arm around Karls waist as they left.
"One day that's gonna be us", he said to Karl when they were out in the hallway.
"I'd love that", Karl replied, chuckling when Sapnap started dancing with him through the corridor, "You really are my fairytale prince"
