I KNOW IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS YET, BUT CAUSE GEORGE HAS HIS VISA ALREADY THIS WOULD BE WEIRD TO POST WHEN HE'S ALREADY IN AMERICA SO TAKE THIS CHRISTMAS STORY NOW
"How about Christmas and New Years, you'll have someone to celebrate with, right?", Dream asked and after a while of thick silence, George mumbled: "No, not really. My parents will be with friends and my sisters are with their friends and boyfriends. It'll be like the last two years, it's fine. Maybe the visa gets approved before. That'd be nice"
George sounded sad, something that didn't fit with his usual happy demeanor. It made Dreams heart crack. "Yeah, that would be nice", he replied, "I mean it's another two months, maybe they'll finally do their job and you can come home before the holidays"
"Yeah... Home", George whispered and Dream could swear he heard his voice break.
"Are you okay, George?", the blonde asked carefully and George sobbed. "No. I wanna come home so bad. I wanna spend Christmas with you and New Years and I want to talk silly pictures and drink hot chocolate and watch poorly made eighties christmas movies with you, cause you're home", he tried to explain himself and Dream almost started crying too.
"I promise you, I'll do everything in my power to celebrate the holidays with you.", Dream replied, "You hear me? I promise."
"Okay", George whispered, "I trust you"
And a promise is a promise.
On the next day Dream went to get his ID fixed and filed for a passport, paying way to much money to have it ready in about three weeks and then he booked a flight to London Heathrow for the 18th of December.
Within three weeks everything was set and he called George. "Hey" "Hi, uhm... you remember how I promised that we'd spend the holidays together?"
George was quiet for a second before he said: "It's no big deal, if it doesn't work, I'll just-" "I'm gonna land on the 18th next month at London Heathrow, around 5:30pm"
"You're messing with me", George replied, excitement in his voice impossible to hide.
"I'm not, I'll be there for Christmas and new years, I promise", Dream replied and he heard George giggle on the other end, smiled widely when he realized he had done the exactly right thing at the right time.
"I can't wait to hug you", the blonde said and George quickly agreed. "I'll tackle you at the airport, I can't believe you're actually coming here." "I can send you the booking if you want", Dream said jokingly, but George jumped on it. "Yes, send it to me, my brain doesn't understand what's going on yet"
Soon after the booking was send into their chat and George squeaked. "You're actually coming here. Dream, you're coming to London!", he said excitedly and Dreams heart felt like it was about to explode. George was so perfect and adorable and god he loved him.

He'd tell him. On christmas eve, he'd tell him that he loved him and kiss him under the mistletoe. And that was also a promise.
So a month later he boarded his flight, excitedly texted George, that they were about to take off. The brunette didn't even take a minute to reply, telling him how excited he was and that he couldn't wait to meet him. Dream looked at the messages fondly. It felt nice to know that someone was this excited to see him.
His last text before turning his phone off, was I hope it's not as hot in london as it is here, I'm in a t-shirt and it's still too hot.
The closer he got to his destination, the more nervous Dream was getting and when he landed it felt like his heart was about to jump out of his chest.
After the passport control he walked over to the luggage claim and unlocked his phone, saw multiple messages by George.
You packed warm clothes, didn't you?
It's bloody freezing here
Do you have a coat?
I'll bring you a coat
And a scarf, you'll freeze to death elsewise
A bit confused Dream looked at the messages. It couldn't be that much colder than Florida, right?
He texted George that he was surely not gonna freeze to death and that he was almost on his way out.
After that he put his phone away and took his suitcase, before leaving through customs. And then he walked into arrivals.
Only a few feet away from the crowds he saw George. Wrapped in a warm winter coat and a scarf. He looked adorable.
He ran towards him and hugged him tightly, before letting go just a bit to look at him.
"Hi", he said and George teared up. "Hi"
They hugged again as if they never wanted to let go. "I can't believe you're actually here", the brunette sobbed, letting go to reach for Dreams cheeks. He had a light stubble, probably hadn't shaved in a few days, but George liked it. He liked it almost as much as his eyes and his smile. Dream had the most stunning smile. It made the skin around his eyes wrinkle a bit and painted a dimple on his left cheek.
The blonde gently wiped away his tears and nodded. "Me neither, but I am and I can finally hug you", he said, "We're not fourthousand miles apart anymore"
They giggled and quickly Dream pulled him into another hug, heart almost exploding.
"You're actually here for christmas", George realized and the blonde felt how the brunettes hands held onto him tighter.
"And I'll also be here for new years, you'll never be alone for the holidays again."
George nodded, sobbed and let his head fall against Dreams shoulder.
"Stop crying, I'll cry too, I've been holding my tears back so well", Dream chuckled, while the first tears ran down his cheeks.

"I just have a lot of emotions right now, I'm sorry", George mumbled, but Dream quickly said: "That's okay, I totally get it, Georgie"
For a while they just enjoyed being together, being close to each other, until Dream lifted his gaze and gasped at what he saw when he looked out the window.
"What?", George asked and looked up to see Dream looking outside with big eyes, watching snowflakes falling from the sky.
"Have you never seen snow before?", he asked and Dream shook his head. "It doesn't snow in Florida, I only know it from movies", Dream replied, eyes wide with fascination.
"It's probably gonna stay, so maybe we can have a snowball fight tomorrow", George suggested and Dream looked at him with excitement in his eyes. "Really?"
"Yeah, after we get you some warm clothes", George said, before he opened his backpack.
He quickly gave Dream a coat that was too big for him but fit the blonde perfectly and then he wrapped a scarf around his neck.
"You'll thank me later", he said and zipped the backpack close again, putting it on his shoulder, then he handed Dream an Oystercard.
"What is that for?", Dream asked and George said: "For public transport, you'll get the hang of it, I'll show you how it works."
And he did, they went to the tubes, got onto picadally line and soon they arrived at the station they needed to get out at.
George pulled Dream after himself by his hand, walking way quicker that Dream, reminding him that it was standing to the right, walking to the left on the escalators.
"And now we'll tap out", he said and held his own Oystercard to the yellow circle.
Dream did the same and followed him.
"See, easy enough right? You're almost a local.", George said and pulled him out of the station.
Cold wind hit them as they step outside and Dream started to get why George urged him to wear warm clothes.
"Why is it so cold?", he asked and George said: "It's like minus five degrees, how do you think it snows?" "Minus five? How is that even possible?" "Celsius, Dream. Celsius."
"Oh" "You're so American, it's horrible" "Make me British then" "I've been trying for years"
They laughed and after a few blocks, George got his keys from his pocket and unlocked a door. They walked up two floors and finally arrived in Georges flat.
"It's so nice and warm here", Dream commented, as he took off the coat George had given to him. "Yeah, I figured you're not a fan of cold", the brunette replied.
Dream hugged him from behind and mumbled: "But I'm a fan of you"
George blushed and Dream could see him smile.
A few days went by, in which Dream learned to love the cold and snow, making snow angels with George in Hype Park and participating in snowball fights against mostly George and once against Wilbur and Tommy.
George had also taken him to Oxford Street to get warmer clothes. "I hate Oxford Street", he had said multiple times, when they pushed through masses of people.
"Then why did you bring me here?" "Cause unfortunately all the stores are here"
Everyday Dream fell in love with George more. With his laugh, with the way he talked, with his hugs, with him.
And then it was christmas eve.
Dream had helped George with decorating, had placed a mistletoe on the doorframe of the living room and now only waited for the right moment. The brunette was currently making them hot chocolate and Dream placed the last presents under the tree for the next day.
A Christmas Carol would soon play in the tv and they were ready to watch it.
With their matching christmas sweaters that Dream got them and Santa and elve hats, nothing could stop them from a good movie night.
And then Dreams perfect moment suddenly came. He just walked towards the door, to get another pillow for them, when George was about to walk in, to ask if he wanted marshmallows in his hot chocolate.
And there they met, under the mistletoe.
"Why are you blushing?", George asked and Dream looked up, causing George to blush too, when he saw the mistletoe. Carefully Dream placed a warm hand on the brunettes cheek and tilted his head up.
"Is it okay, if I kiss you?", he asked and George blushed an even darker shade of pink than before, as he nodded.
Dream smiled fondly, as he leaned down, lips gently meeting Georges. His lips were soft, tasted like the cinnamon buns they had gotten on the christmas market and a hint of chocolate. His free hand rested on Georges waist and pulled him a little closer.
This was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, kiss George with no cares in the world. Nothing mattered, but George and him in this apartment somewhere in London on christmas eve.
When they parted Dream saw the brunette smile. He chuckled, kissed Georges head and hugged him. "I love you", he mumbled and George giggled, "Come on, George, tell me you love me too"
Flustered George avoided his gaze and laughed again, when Dream peppered his face with kisses. "Tell me you love me", he said again, chuckling. "Fine", George said, hands resting on Dreams chest, "I love you too, idiot"
With a smile Dream leaned down again, kissed him another time, before whispering: "Merry Christmas, George"
"Merry Christmas", George replied with a smile.
