Claire came back a couple minutes later with the sonographer, she laid me back and had Colby sit next to my head. My hand held his tightly as they set everything up. "Okay we are just gonna take a look." Claire said and grabbed the bottle of gel, "this is gonna be cold" she said and squeezed it on my abdomen. I shivered slightly as the cold gel hit my skin, "alright, ready to see your baby?" She said happily as I looked up at Colby. He was looking at the screen with a smile on his face, I couldn't help but smile as he turned his head to look at me.

I lost myself in his blue eyes which were sparkling with joy. "Alright, I think we found it." Claire's voice said snapping us both to reality. When I looked at the screen I honestly couldn't tell what I was looking at, "there's your baby." She said and pointed to a small blob on the screen.

It was the most beautiful blob I had ever seen.

I felt tears well up in my eyes as I laughed a watery laugh, "happy tears?" Colby said softly, keeping his eyes on the screen. He had a small smile on his lips as he spoke, "happy tears." I confirmed as he brought our interwoven hands to his lips, placing a gentle kiss on the back of my hand. "It looks like you are 6 weeks along, which is great! We can start you on some prenatal vitamins. We will schedule you another appointment for 3 weeks from now. Sound good?" I nodded, still staring at the screen.

It didn't look like a baby, or honestly anything really, but knowing that Colby and I created it together had me emotional. I looked over at Colby who was smiling at me, his eyes flared with admiration. "We are going to messes when it actually looks like a baby." He said with a laugh and I nodded, blotting my eyes with my thumb. "Yeah. Maybe you'll cry." I said and giggled. "I definitely will." He said as the doctors cleaned everything up.

I got changed back into my normal clothes and Claire gave me my prescription that we needed to go pick up. "You hungry?" Colby said as we walked to the car, "always." I laughed as we got in the car. "Anything you want." He said and grabbed my hand, starting the car with his other. "Hmmm I think there's a chick fil a next to the pharmacy so that works." I said and he nodded, "sounds good to me." He said and pulled out of the parking spot.

Colby rolled the windows down as we blasted music, he had his hand firmly in my own as we made our way to the pharmacy.

"You want a milkshake?" Colby said as he pulled up to the window at chick fil a, "oh my god yes." I said and jumped in my seat excitedly. "Alright, hi! Can I get an 8 count chicken nugget meal with a water, chick fil a sauce, and a strawberry milkshake? Also another 8 count meal with a coke, and ranch." He said then smirked at me. "You remembered my order." I said as he pulled forward. "Of course I did, although I thought about ordering you ranch because it's superior." He smirked and squeezed my thigh, before reaching for his wallet. "No way" I shook my head, and looked down at my phone.

"Kat wants to know if we are free tonight." I mumbled as he handed me my milkshake. "I think we are. Why wouldn't we be?" He said and grabbed the food. "Not sure. I'm gonna tell her we are." He nodded as I sipped on my drink.

We swung by the pharmacy and got my pills, then went back to the house. When we went inside there was screaming coming from the living room, Colby instinctively stepped in front of me as we made our way to the room. "Is everyone okay??" Colby said as we walked into the room. Sam, Kat, and Devyn were sitting there watching a movie. "Yeah, we are watching a scary movie, join us!" Kat said and patted the couch next to her, not letting her eyes leave the screen. I shrugged and walked to the couch, plopping down next to Kat. Colby sat next to me and started to pull our food out of the bag, Kat's head snapped to him, "awww you guys got chick fil a and didn't some for us?" She whined causing Colby to scrunch his nose, "yes, yes we did." He said and popped a fry into his mouth. "I would share but I already am." I said leaning slightly into Colby, causing him to wrap his arm around me.

We watched the movie and ate our food before I could feel my eyes getting heavier. I yawned and got up, stretching as far as I could, "I'm gonna take a nap." I said and started to walk away. I heard shuffling behind me as I made my way up the stairs. I turned to see Colby smiling at me, "what are you doing?" I giggled out. "Don't you wanna cuddle?" He said and raised his brows slightly, "always." I said and reached my hand out to him. He took it and we went to the bedroom.

"Hey babe?" Colby said as I slid into the bed, "what's up?" I said as he stripped his shirt and slid into the bed. "Are you happy?" He said and wrapped his arms around me tightly. "I'm very happy, Colby. Why?" He shrugged and rubbed my arm soothingly. "I don't know, I just want you to be happy." He said quietly and pulled me into him. "Are you happy?" I said and tilted my head up to look at him. "The happiest I have ever been." He shifted his hands to my lower belly as I kissed his jawline. "Let's go on a date later." He said quietly as I rested my head back on his chest. "I would love that, where do you want to go?" I mumbled as my eyes started to close. "It's a surprise, get some rest." He said and placed a kiss on the top of my head.

I couldn't help the overwhelming feeling of tiredness that was coming over me. "I love you." I mumbled half asleep. "I love you too baby girl, more than you know." Was the last thing I heard before I finally fell asleep.
