Around two hours later, the bus pulled into a rest stop. Zacky stretched and accidently pushed Kate off the couch.

“Ah!” She shouted as she fell the short distance to the floor. Zacky laughed and sat up. Kate huffed and sat up as well.

“Have a nice fall?” Kate rolled her eyes then smacked him upside the head.

“Ouch.” He said in a laugh.

Brian had come out of the bunks saw Kate on the floor. He shot Zacky a look, then stepped passed Kate and walked off the bus. Kate huffed and stood up and followed him off the bus.

“You could’ve helped me up you know.” She said as she walked past him. He didn’t say anything and lit a cigarette. Zacky walked off the bus with Johnny and walked over to Brian.

“You have a nice nap?” Brian asked Zacky. Johnny could feel the hostility in his voice.

“It was alright, yeah.” Zacky said. Brian clenched his fist and took a drag of his cigarette.

“Yeah you looked all cozy.” Brian said. Zacky raise his eyebrow and let out a small laugh.

“I wouldn’t say cozy. You know how uncomfortable the couch is.” Johnny put his hand on Zacky’s shoulder and went into the rest stop.

“Brian, what’s up?” Zacky asked him. Brian shook his head and pushed past him. Zacky watched him leave and shook his head.

“What the hell was that about?” He said. Jimmy walked off the bus and walked over to him.

“If I were to guess, he’s pissed because you got all comfy with Kate on the couch.” Zacky started to laugh.

“Why?” Jimmy rolled his eyes.

“My guess, Brian likes Kate and got pissed when you were sleeping on the couch.” Zacky rolled his eyes.

“Damn it.” Then he took off after Brian.

“Hey Brian!” He said when he was close. Brian stopped and turned around.

“Man we need to talk.” Brian crossed his arms and looked at him.

“Look man, I just wanna let you know I don’t think of Kate that way. She’s more like a sister to me.” Brian’s cheeks flushed and he nodded.

“So we good?” Zacky asked, holding out his hand. Brain smiled and nodded and grabbed his hand and pulled him in for a hug.

“Yeah man, we’re good.” Brian said. Zacky nodded and ran back to the bus.

Brian went into the rest stop to get some food and saw Kate talking to Matt. She had her arms crossed and was rolling her eyes. Then she jumped on the counter and Matt tried talking to her some more. Brian watched as he sighed and walked away. They nodded to each other and Brian walked over to Kate.

“So why are you pissed at me?” She asked him. He smirked at her.

“I’m not.” He said. She wrinkled her eyebrows.

“Yes you are, you wouldn’t help me up or even talk to me when we got off the bus.” He took a step closer to her and put his hands on either sides of her legs.

“Kate, if I was pissed at you, you would know it okay?” She smiled and nodded.

“Okay good. Because I didn’t do anything.” He laughed. She giggled and slid down off of the counter.

Brian didn’t move, so they were inches from each other. Kate looked into Brian’s eyes and blushed then looked away. Brian chuckled but didn’t move.

“Um we should probably get back to the bus now.” Kate said quietly.

“Yeah we should.” Brian said. Kate put her hands on his broad chest and attempted to push him. He chuckled deeply and Kate sighed.

“Brian come on.” She said. He just stared at her with a smirk on his lips. He started to lean close to her when he heard Matt calling to them.

“Guys let’s go!” He shouted. Kate looked up at Brian. She could feel his hot breath on her face. He smiled at her then pushed himself away from her and started walking. Kate just stood still. Brian turned around with a small smile on his face.

“You comin’ or what?” He called. She blinked and shook her head then followed him out of the rest stop.
