《Safe Keeping (Klaroline)》Chapter 10

I have no idea who drew the picture above but this is essentially what Misao and Shinichi look like so, thanks to whoever drew it! Just picture a real life version of that :D Enjoy the chapter.
Shinichi grins wildly, his tails swish in anticipation as he uses a flick of his hand to send Klaus flying, using some form of weird un-witch like power, but it isn't really. They use illusion and control over realms and possesion as power and apparently these two are pretty powerful. He doesn't chant, he just flicks his wrist and something happens. And it's horrifying.
I step back, trying to put as much distance between me and the fox as possible. But I can't hide anywhere, he doesn't need to be invited in, he can teleport in some way and lets not forget he is freaking determined as hell to get me! Klaus seems unable to move, so while Elijah straightens his shirt in a very sensible matter, then runs, I sprint to Klaus and try to help him get up. Beads of sweat form on Klaus's brow as he desperately tries to get up but seems pinned down. Shinichi is so focused on both Elijah and Klaus, expecting them to keep coming at him. But Elijah takes him by surprise, running straight past him, toward an unsuspecting Misao who surprisingly has appeared back in the driveway to watch the fight unravel. Elijah lifts her and throws her backwards, where she crashes into the hard driveway ground and slides backwards making an awful scraping noise. I wince but sure enough, all of Shinichi's attention has gone to his sister and Klaus is free of the spell. "So he is like a furry witch?" Klaus growls, not really like a question.
"Not really," I tell him, "Technically you just though you couldn't get up, Bonnie told me they trick people and it isn't real power." I explain quickly while Elijah backs up from Shinichi who looked like he could explode Elijah with his stare. "Did the little witch mention an easier way of killing them!?" Klaus demands. "Apart from making them regret, which probably isn't going to happen anyway, I think if you cut off all their tails? I think that's where they get their power..." I say. Klaus nods and runs at the fox again. Shinichi easily shakes him off but what he isn't expecting is for Elijah and I to be right behind Klaus. Shinichi extends his hands toward Elijah and I take my chance, I grab for one of the many swishing tails but Misao shoves me off him with surprising power and I go for her instead. Wait! Is it better to go for the fox or his twin? Attacking Misao may just make him angrier. I don't care. I grab a fistful of long black and red hair and pull up shes hanging by her hair, before she can react I drop her and I hear a satisfying Crack as her head collides with the paving. I smirk stomp forcefully down on one of her tails, pressing my foot as hard into it as I can, trying to ignore the feeling of disgust and guilt bubbling in my stomach. Misao screams and bangs her fist into the ground in pain, before attempting to reach for my ankle. I wont feel guilty! This is the person who has been slowly destroying my home! I reach down, wrap my hand around the now knotted hair and pull her back up, I use my other hand to keep a firm, vampire, bone crushing grip on 3 of the tails that all swooshed softly in my palm, the fact that they were still moving made me grip tighter, eliciting another screech from Misao. Shinichi turns from his battle with Klaus and Elijah long enough to see my death grip on his precious twin. He growls in fury and lunges for me but Klaus grabs a fistful of Shinichi's tails and forces him backward. Elijah punches Shinichi in the stomach before Klaus shoves him to the ground and puts one foot roughly on Shinichi's head with such force that movement is impossible. He is however, at the perfect angle to look up at me still tightening and changing my grip on his sister's tails. "Get your hands off her!" He snarls, trying to wriggle away from Klaus. Fire burns in Shinichi's coal black eyes as he, for a second, stops writhing. But instead he shrinks and slips into the skin of a fox. Klaus is put off for a second as Shinichi trys to escape but Klaus slams his foot sown on all of Shinichi's tails, causing the large fox to fall onto his side and fail to get back up. Weird growl like noises are coming from Shinichi as he grows back into an even angrier human-like form. "Release my sister!" He snarls one more time as Elijah hoists him up and holds him in a grip that, by the look on Shinichi's face, must be stronger than mine. Pathetic Misao continues to whine and whimper, possibly trying to get me to pity her, but in response, I dig my nails into her tail and again try to bury my disgust as blood wets my fingers. Misao snaps and snarls, tears pooling in her eyes. "Stop!" Shinichi growls. "Let her go and she will leave Mystic Falls, for now..."

"Not good enough!" I tell him, hoisting Misao a little higher off the ground.
"Fine! Fine... Misao will leave Mystic Falls and I will leave you. You were just a hobby anyway! Something I wanted! New hobbies can be found! And new cities, but we are not done with Mystic Falls!" I release my grip on Misao slightly as Elijah presses, "What is stopping us from just killing you!?" Shinichi takes a second to think, but in that second, Misao tears from my grasp and lurces toward her brother. The second their hands meet, both foxes dissapear but something tells me they wont be back. I grin wildly at Klaus and sigh in relief.
5 days pass and we hear nothing. No signs of evil foxes and according to Elena, Mystic Falls is fine as well. I can't believe he's gone. Elijah believes that with a scare like that, it is possible the foxes will leave us alone for good. And seeing as I haven't heard anything, I believe that too. I haven't told the boys, but I have insurance. Inside a small blue box, buried in my suitcase packed to go home, Lies a lock of black hair, scarlett at the tips...
