Klaus's POV
I woke up in the bar with Caroline next to me, she had her arms around me and mines were around her, I couldn't help but smile, I didn't saw my sister or Stefan, so I decided to stay there looking at Caroline sleeping, a few minutes after I feel Caroline's head moving, because her head was resting in my chest, when she look up she saw me.
"Oh, sorry" She said embarrassed and I noticed her blushing a little bit.
"It's okay love."
"Well, I am going to the kitchen and make some pancakes... Do you some?" She asked and I nodded.
We went to the kitchen, I seat somewhere and watch her cook, she looked so beautiful, I tried to capture all her movements so I could later make some drawings of her, she was so beautiful.
"Why are you with that face?" She asked me while she was making the pancakes.
"What face?" I asked and she gave me a look "I am just enjoying seeing you cooking... but next time I'll be the one cooking."
Caroline's POV
"I am just enjoying seeing you cooking... but next time I'll be the one cooking." He said smirking and I smiled to him.
"Okay. Breakfast is ready!" I said excited.
"OMG! This is really good!" Klaus said making me smile.
"Thanks" I said then we got back to eating.
"You never told me..." He said breaking the silence.
"Tell you what?" I asked confused.
"What are your hopes and dreams..." He said making me remember the day he dared me to get to know him
"Well, I hope I can find happiness and the dreams I once had, won't concretize..." I said with a weak smile.

"What were those dreams?" He asked
"You are going to think it's stupid..." I said focusing on the pancakes.
"I promise that I would not think that your dreams are or were stupid." He said making me look deeply at his blue ocean eyes.
"Okay my dreams were: find the one that is my soulmate, the one that I need to spend the rest of my life and marry him, then be a mother and grow old with that person, knowing that he wants to be with me until the day he dies" I said with a small smile ""But I am a vampire, that would never happened."
"Maybe not the part of grow old but the rest you can do, if you want to be a mother, you can adopt..." He said with a small smile giving me hope.
"Yes, but I would put my child in danger, because once you get involved in supernatural stuff or know people that are supernatural, your life is always in danger..." I said sadly and from the blue he hugged me.
We went to my room and I thanked him to made me company, then I took a shower and get to the classes.

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized

Gracie
Good girl, Skyli Bell, and rebel, Wyatt Cook, were neighbors. Nothing more nothing less. That was until a scared girl dropped a baby off at Skyli's doorstep. Now the two have to work together to take care of the little bundle of joy secretly.~"So let me get this straight: your super hot goodie two-shoes neighbor brought over a baby that is not hers and asks you to help her take care of her... and you agreed. But the baby belongs to some random girl who just left her with Sky," he asked. I nodded. He shook his head and puffed out a breath. "And now Sky is practically living in your house and you two are raising a baby together, but you have no interest in her whatsoever?" he asked. I nodded. "Exactly." Davis sighed and rolled his eyes before he was leaning forward with his hands pressed against the table. "This is going to get really screwy, really fast, Wyatt," Davis warned me.
