"Hey Yagu." Yuta called, making her avert her direction to her and smile. He handed her a can of carbonated milk and a small pack of mooncakes. "Thanks," She silently muttered and continued to read her book. Yes, they were back in school. It was their last year, which was one of the most stressful years in highschool. Yuta couldn't care less, since he had nice grades and he listens to the teachers pretty well, although Hyagura suggested that he should still study because it was their last year and he couldn't just depend on the teachers. The students needed self study too.
"After highschool, what do you want to do?" She asked Yuta, he looked at her and started thinking again. "I don't know, actually. Maybe go for athletics? I do want to be a professional soccer player." He shrugged and looked at the girl who was listening intently. She looked beautiful. "And you?" He asked her making her shrug. "I guess, humanities? Or biology?" She shrugged as well and leaned back on her chair. "I don't know, it's tough, it can be possible if I studied outside the country, maybe that'll work. I guess, I just need a scholarship, y'know?"
Yuta nodded. He was a little sad with the mention of leaving to another country, he didn't want to be apart from his bestfriend, his life already sucks and Hyagura was there just to remind him of all those little things that can make him happy, she was there to make him happy. "Atleast we're graduating together, right? That's all that matters. We'll get to chase our dreams somehow."
"Promise me you'll never leave me."
"Promise."
"Yeah, all that. We'll all get to live happily anyways. Right?"
"When did you get so sappy?" Yuta asked exaggeratedly, earning a glare from the girl. "You ruined the mood, asshole." Yuta laughed at her making her cross her arms, "Go laugh." She deadpanned as she watched Yuta gasp for air because of laughing too much. He calmed down and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, before laughing again. "Oh my— Yuta stop!" She chuckled while pushing him away from her. "See, you— you're laughing!" He cackled, earning a few looks from the students present inside the room.

"Shut up, you're earning stares." She glared at the still laughing boy. He would never run out of energy. He calmed down again and stared at Hyagura, before, laughing again.
"SHUT UP!~"

A Wish Beyond Chaos
Knights cultivate Laws to transcend mortality. They live for centuries, leading all of humanity while ceaselessly searching for the ultimate path. Mages study Runes to control creation itself. Their lives are short, but burn with unmatched radiance, leaving marks that may never fade. Roland Crescent consumes food to continue existing. He has lived for almost fifteen years without accidentally choking to death, a feat not yet committed to chronicles and song. Five years ago, at the tender age of nine, Roland suddenly stopped dreaming and instead started seeing the imminent deaths of those around him in nightly visions. Believing himself destined for greatness, he set out to become a righteous hero of justice. But as the years passed this young wannabe savior found that his duties brought him almost no discernible benefits, whereas new burdens kept piling onto his small shoulders without end. When a longtime plan’s failure ends up opening the path to several twisted opportunities, Roland might have to finally admit to himself that nobody of importance, much less fate itself, had any regards for his heroic inclinations. Slow paced, character focused story. Gets very dark at times. Basically like Lord of the Mysteries with more comedic aspects at the start. Chapters are released Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. Average chapter length is about 4000 words, with only the first vision being noticeably shorter. Have fun reading.
