"What do you mean missing?"
"Missing. Lost. Not here." Cameron snaps at me.
"What did you do?"
Cameron grabs the collar of my shirt. His eyes angry. "Nothing! Your sister, my girlfriend is missing and I want to find her."
"Who has the last to see her?" Brayden asks calmly and Cameron lets me go taking a step back.
"Him" Cameron spits in my direction.
"Honey said she had a meeting with that Carter guy -"
"She never showed. Carter called me."
Cameron and I stand in somewhat of a stare off until Brayden clears his throat. Our eyes snap to him.
"I think we should tell our parents."
"Genevieve wants nothing to do with -"
"We don't have a choice" I cut Cameron off. "If Honey really is missing we need all the help we can get."
...
I agreed to meet with Genevieve parents. Truth be told if they are who I think they are they are the only hope. Jacob Maxwell the MI5 assassin and Kate Reynolds, CIA's number one field agent.
When I walk into the restaurant with Brooke, Bas and Brayden we are directed to a table at the back Kate stands as soon as we approach the table hugging her younger son. She looks up and her gaze locks with mine.
"Cameron is Honey -"
"She is missing" I say bluntly not wanting to mess around.
"Missing?" Jacob clarifies his eyes not leaving mine. "How long?"
I check my watch. "Five hours."
"Honey is a good hider" Kate says lightly.
"Genevieve does not hide from me" I growl.
"I'm guessing you want our help" Jacob states with a slightly laugh. Before I can respond Bas does.
"She is your daughter!" Bas studies his father. "She was right..."

"About?" Jacob asks.
"You don't care about us!"
"Sebastian!" Kate scolds her son.
"No mum Honey was right. I should have listened and now she is gone!"
"Dad please" Brayden says staring his father down. Jacob sighs. He stands and as he is leaving the table turns back to us.
"I'll make a call."
Dinner is quick Kate decides she doesn't want to hang around not knowing where Genevieve is. I for one am glad, it is driving me crazy being away from her. The five of us end up back in Kate and Jacob's hotel suite which is turned into a mini base.
"I was able to secure some security footage from the cafe" Brayden says hanging up his phone. "They are sending it to me now."
The four of us huddle around the laptop as Jacob paces behind us. I turn to face him and he stops.
"Is Honey a good architect?" Jacob asks and I'm a little thrown off by his question. I take a moment before answering.
"I only hire the best" I shrug and he nods slowly.
He looks passed me to his family and sucks in a deep breath. I think he is actually sorry he didn't get to know Genevieve and Bas. I know I'd be a lesser man having not known Genevieve.
"Here it is" Brayden's voice snaps me back to the present and now all five of us stare at the screen. The security video is in black and white. It shows Genevieve talking on her phone.
"Who is she talking to there?" Kate asks.
"The would be her call with Carter" I reply. The video continues and Genevieve disconnects the call. She then plays with her phone I'm assuming that is when she sends a message to John.

"Look there" Bas points to the top of the screen where a black SUV is parked on the curb in front of Genevieve. In the split second as she puts her phone away she is grabbed and pulled into the car before it drives off.
"She was taken" Jacob says stating the obvious.
"This is our fault" Kate says turning to Jacob. "We caused this. We got too close Jake. I'll never forgive myself if something happens to her." Jacob wraps his arms around Kate and she falls into him sobbing. In this moment I notice that the two are truly committed to each other. They never stopped being a couple.
"You never broke up" I say posing my sentence as a question. Jacob and Kate turn to face me. "You have been together all these years but you let Genevieve and Bas believe you broke up."
"Is that true mum?" Bas asks and his mother looks at him guiltily.
"I'm sorry Sebastian" Kate says quietly.
"I want the whole story mum" Bas demands.
"Now is really the time -" Jacob starts but Brayden cuts him off.
"He needs this dad. It is time you told the truth."
The five of us move over to the lounge part of the hotel suite. Kate sits in a two seater next to Jacob and takes a deep breath.
"We were found out. Our covers blown. It was dangerous for us to be together we always knew that. We were always playing for different teams. A bounty was placed on our heads -"
"So basically you were living the movie Mr and Mrs Smith?" Bas asks with a laugh.
"You think it is funny Bas but is is the truth. We already had to send Brayden to live with your grandparents as things were dangerous enough. Then I fell pregnant things got more complicated. We made a decision, Looking back it may not have been the best one but it worked. It worked for us and for you and it was working until ten months ago. I was called out on an assignment. They were desperate. Since you were born I had been in the office but they called me into the field and I couldn't say no. I had to go deep undercover. I didn't know if I'd even get out the only way was to -"
"Fake your death? You couldn't have told us then?"
"It wasn't safe for you to know!"
"So instead I had to grieve your death? How is that fair mum?"
"It isn't Bas and I'm sorry."
"Can I ask what the field mission was?" I ask curiously.
"I was needed in London. Drugs. It was someone who had been underground for a long time but they resurfaced. For once our organisations were working together. Both Jake and I were called in."
"Could this be related to who took Genevieve?"
When I wake I am in an elegant looking bedroom. I have a splitting headache and feel nauseated when I try to stand. I drop my head back on the comfortable pillow. The door to the bedroom swings open and my captor enters.
"Good evening Miss Reynolds" his voice growls.
"Who are you?"
"Of course. How rude of me! I'm Eric. Eric Maxwell. You're uncle."
