i hop off the plane and take in the new scent of the airport, tate and i supposed to meet everyone by the starbucks, but honestly, i have no idea where that is. we walk around for about 20 minutes before we see the popular shop, a queue of people lining up.
we squeeze through the small crowd at the cafe and look for our friends. we are still looking around when suddenly we are tackled to the floor, me by chase and tate by jackson. i laugh and hug chase tightly and he stands up before offering his hand out to help me up. once im standing, i brush myself off and we all leave the airport.
"where are the others?" i ask and fidget with the scrunchies on my wrist. "with payton, so he doesnt get suspicious" jackson says and i can see him start to hold tates hand. they both look so happy and i smile at the couple. we are now in the car on the way to the park, where the two of us girls will be dropped off and they will take pay and the others when they pick them up from the hotel.
it takes about 20 minutes for the guys to get here, and when we see the car pull up we hide behind the toilet block, out of vision from payton. the group of the boys walk along the footpath and me and tate silently walk behind him, our hands intwined and over-exaggerating the swinging. i almost trip pver a stick and burst out laughong, but stop myself from making any noise.
i look forward to the guys and see josh trying not to laugh. he must have seen me. i stick my middle finger up at him and he sees it in his peripheral vision. his smile widens and he loom straight ahead again, to not gain paytons attention. i listen to the conversation.

"guys youll see them soon, dont let them be all you think about. what about your fans?" -chase (again, trying not to laugh or smile)
I see this as the perfect opportunity to surprise him, so I speak up. "wow chase, telling payton not to think about his girlfriend, not cool" i say while laughing.
payton freezes, stopping. he slowly turns around and makes eye contact with me as I smile widely up at him.
