Carmen and I were at the mall shopping for our dresses for prom, it was in two weeks and I've yet to been asked. I was becoming anxious too, and it didn't help that everybody was talking about it.

"What about this one?'' Carmen asks coming out in a dress that's an ugly shade of yellow, it was long but it just didn't work for her.

''No, it's hideous.'' I say she heads back into the dressing room while I look for dresses, my eye catches a black dress, with two pieces; the top has lace designs and it's beautiful the bottom is plain black, this dress was made for me.

I try it on and it fits like a glove, I walk out to see Carmen in a cream dress, with beautiful designs and beads engraved into it, she looked like a princess.

''We are gonna slay this prom Bec!'' She squeals, I laugh. Slay we are, even if I have to go by myself for prom, I'm still gonna have a good time. I mean it's a one in a lifetime experience. Who am I to let it go to waste?

The next day, I wake up do my routine and head to school, it's a pretty boring day till I see Alex, in all his glory with a white box.

"Hey, love.'' He kisses my cheek and smirks, I look at him weirdly what's up with him?

Not that I mind the smirk it looked heavenly on him.

''What's in the box.'' I raise my brow.

''Oh this? I was just being the best boyfriend ever and brought you Cinnabon.''

I squeal he knows I love cinnabon.

He really is the best boyfriend ever.

''Thanks Alex.'' With that I grab the box and stuff my face with the heavenly food.

He looks at me expectantly, I eye him, then the box it says,

Cinnabon is the bomb, do me a favor and come with me to prom?'' I smile and hug him.

''Yes I'll go with you! I was just starting to think I'd have to go by myself.''

''Bec, I'd never let that happen.''

So prom is tonight and I was so excited, this was going to the best night of my life, Carmen is at my house getting ready for Elliot, and they are dating! I'm so happy for her, she deserves someone that will make her happy, and if he doesn't well, he'll just have to meet my bat.

I put my dress on and it looks even more beautiful if possible, and Carmen does my hair,

I have to say myself I look beautiful.

I can't wait to see what Alex looks like this is going to be a night to remember. Carmen and I finish getting ready. ''I can't believe we are going to prom, it seems like just yesterday we were playing with our Barbie's.''

She smiles, and tears up,

''Don't cry you'll ruin my hard work, then I'll ruin your hard work."

I laugh tears filling my eyes. We hug, and the bell rings and we jump apart,

''Our dates are here!'' She yells going downstairs.

I feel the butterflies in my stomach, I'm nervous. Yet I head downstairs and am met with my mother, crying.

"My babies, are all grown up!'' She sobs. I walk over and hug her,

''It's okay mom.'' I laugh. Ashton is taking a girl named Skylar who is nice and very pretty, I see a future for them.

I turn around and see Alex, his hair is in a messy quiff that I find so sexy, and he has a cute bow tie on, he grins and all my nerves go away and are replaced with giddiness.

"You look beautiful, love.'' He smiles kissing my forehead.

''You too.'' I mumble in a daze.

He laughs and embraces me.

''I mean you look handsome.''

I smile, hugging him back.

''Thanks Bec.'' He smiles.

''Come on love birds!'' Ashton says going into the Hummer limo we rented.

''Okay, Okay.'' I say and grab Alex's hand, going into the night of my life.
