Thursday.

Dance class!

I smile as I glance at my clock. 6:15.

"Leijla, time for dance class!" I hear my mom yell from downstairs.

"Coming mom!" I reply as I run towards her. I flash her a smile before running past her into the car.

My mom puts the keys in and smiles.

"You seem exited. It's only dance class, dear." She says to me.

I smile wider, knowing Lachlan's gonna be there.

"Oh nothing." I say, my eyes moving to the floor.

-le time skip cuz I can-

"Alright class, for the next show we're going to be doing square dancing. I will be paring the girls with the boys, and I will be choosing." My dance instructor told us.

Great.

I sat there, spaced out until I heard my name.

"Leijla and Lachlan..." My cheeks instantly go bright red as I glance over at him.

His face was red too.

I begin to slowly walk over to him and smile.

"Hi." I say, quite awkwardly.

"Hey." He mumbles to me.

Three weeks later...

We've been practicing the dance for a while now and Lachlan and I know it like the back of my hand.

He pulls me in and twirls me. He quickly pulls me close again.

Not to mention we've gotten to know each other more.

Our faces were inches apart as he slowly leans in.

Was he going to kiss me?

He quickly pecks my lips as my face flushes deep red.

"Lachlan! No kissing your partner while practicing!" Our dance instructor yells at him, causing me to slightly jump.

His face turns pink and gives me an awkward smile.

"We'll pick this up after dance class." He whispers to me.
