《A Blind Ninja's Tale》A Dark Day in Konoha

I wasn't able to make it to the Hokages' funeral because I was busy working on the injured in the hospital. I cried when I heard he had passed. It was him that let me be a ninja. So many dead and even more hurt. Thank Kami we were able to repel the attack. I heard that Naruto was heading off with master Jiraiya to find the next Hokage. I don't like that man but Naruto seems to trust him. Right now I was treating Lee. He had suffered badly from Gaara. All the other doctors said he would never be a ninja but I know I can fix him. "Miss Shurui, you don't have to go through all this trouble just for me." I gave him a serious look as I worked on his shattered bones. "If you wish to be a 'splendid' ninja again then you better hush. I'm your best chance at getting better. I heard him sigh as I began restitching his muscles together. Normal ninja couldn't go into this much detail when using medical Jutsu. My blindness aloud me to see injuries in more detail than normal. It was dark I guess when I finished my work. Or at least I think it was dark. Lee's sensei was their and as I left the room I could feel his hopefulness. I smiled to reassure him. "Lee is going to be fine. Though he will need to rest a while before training any." I was surprised to be picked up by the man and hugged. "Thank you so much for saving my apprentice." I was unused to praise so I just smiled. "Gai sensei I need to get her home before her father begins searching the village." I heard a laugh as I was put down. "Come on troublesome woman let's get going." I smiled as he grabbed my hand and we headed to my home.

We stopped near the door as I just hugged him as I teared up. "So many hurt and dying. The hokage died." He just held me as I cried. Before I went in the house I gave him a kiss. It was sweet till I heard a ahem from a somewhat overprotective dad. I gave Shika a quick hug and headed in the house dragging my dad in for Shikamaru's safety.
