Now I'm not sure when this will be published so either there will be/ is a fanfic of flame demon (yandere sim/ April fools joke burning love) and I would love for you all to check it out. Okay enjoy!
Your POV
Grillby became enthralled with greys anatomy. To be honest you had never watched it. You kept planning to with thoughts like "oh yeah I'll watch it after this" or "I'll get to it after just one more episode of supernatural" You know, the usual excuses.
Taking out your phone and looking at the clock it dawned on you.
"OH SHIT!"
You run to your room leaving grillby thoroughly startled. You forgot about work! Have could you have forgotten.
You quickly change into your waitressing outfit and put on slightest bit of mascara. Grabbing your shoes you run to your front door then took into account the candlestick on your couch.
"Hey, uh, grillby I have work. Will you be fine here?"
He nodded his head and returned to the TV.
"Oh (y/n)?"
You turned back to him, door half open, "yeah?"
"Don't forget your coat."
You laughed and rushed out.
"Bye grillby!"

At work
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey (y/n) glad you finally showed I was beginning to worry." Jack said.
"Oh shut it you leprechaun, I'm right on time...right?"
He laughed.
"Yeah close enough, clock in before Linda gets you though, you know how she gets."
It was now your turn to laugh. Mrs. Linda was the manager and was one of the people who wanted her workers there 10 minutes early or she considered that late. You went to put your name card in the slot .
Jack was one of the long time workers here at the joint and was the one to show you around when you were first hired. He quickly became one of your best friends and the one who introduced you to you now 'ex boyfriend'.
You knew he knew what happened last night and would want to hear what happened in your time off, but that could wait. For now you had a job to do.
The first few hours of your shift that lead well into the witching hour weren't that bad. But around 3:00 you started to feel a bit drowsy. Your boss wasn't unreasonable and you knew would let you go home early but you didn't want to feel like one of 'those' people who always asked to get off early. But in the end your need for sleep won over with a little encouragement from jack who insisted that what had happened between you and your ex could wait.
You went and asked your boss and of course she said yes. You grabbed your stuff, said goodbye to Jack, and headed out the door back to your apartment. It wasn't really a long walk but it sure felt like it. The streets were cold and unforgiving, had you been anymore sleep deprived you might have fallen and passed out. Somehow you eventually made it back to your apartment complex and went up to your room. At this hour everything was dead silent, 'Sept the bed squeaking a few doors down but you preferred not to acknowledge that.
You unlocked your door and quickly closed it behind you. Looking around the room you didn't see grillby in the room and figured he might have already left. He did say he would be gone soon didn't he? You couldn't quite remember at the moment. You slid your jacket off and hung it up on the rack. Trudging to your room you pulled off your shoes and shirt and finally slid off your skirt. You really preferred to sleep naked-ish anyway. In your haze you didn't realize that a light was emitting from under a lump in your covers.
~~~Sometime The Next Day~~~
This time you were awakened by a soft warmth enclosing you in a protective shell. That 'shell' turned out to be the candlestick himself. Turned out he hadn't left. He was still asleep and, for the most part ,you were too. He had his arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to him. You were flush against his front and could feel his 'skin' rippling against you. Warm flames flicked around him and onto you. He wasn't exceedingly hot but was instead a comfortably warm.
You weren't sure what time it was nor had a way to tell so you decided just to roll with it instead. You weren't sure how you felt about what was happening at the moment but eventually decided it wasn't that bad. Considering you just had gotten out of a relationship you wernt that willing to jump straight back into one and didn't even want to think about having feelings like that towards grillby. For fucks sake! You had known him what? Two days? No you refused you give into your mind and rather get over your ex and get to know grillby better before you decided anything.
All things considered, he was quite warm and cuddly. You could get used to that. You turned around to face the flame so you could enclose yourself into his heat more. Maybe you could go back to sleep? His flames were memorizing and could possibly entertain you till you fell asleep again. You were way too tired to have a full on debate in your head. You nuzzled up to his chest and had just realized how much larger he was than you. You weren't really short per say but were more...eh..fun sized? That's what Jack called you anyway. Though he wasn't much taller than you. His hair only gave him an extra inch or so.
All these thoughts were making you drowsy and finally you drifted off to sleep. You were kinda afraid to wake up again and explain the situation to the G-man but that could wait. He was quite comfortable. And just like most things, you push it off to the side, to deal with it later and went back to sleep.
