《The End》Part 8: Homecoming

Ever since all the drama that happened with Jeremy and Anna and Elena and Stefan, Rosalina decided to stay out of it. She stayed in her room most of the time and had been avoiding her siblings and Alaric. She has been going to school and doing most of her work so Alaric wouldn't have a reason to bother her. School was the most annoying part of her days because Alaric would try to talk to her after class, Elena and Jeremy would search the halls for her and Caroline was always coming up to Rosa and starting conversations.
Caroline and Rosalina are not friends and they never have been friends, but out of all of Elena's friends, Rosa liked Caroline the most. Caroline had always been nice to Rosa and always tried to include her especially when they were kids. Sure Rosalina liked Matt and Bonnie, but they didn't really ever talk or make any effort.
Somehow Caroline had convinced Rosalina to help her decorate for homecoming. Rosa only agreed because it was better than hanging out with Elena and the vampires.
"Hey, can you hand me the glitter gun? Thanks." Caroline said as Tyler handed it to her.
"Hey, can't we diss the decorating and go grab a bite?" Tyler asked. Rosa raised her eyebrow at the blonde. She was not gonna get left alone to decorate all by herself. She wasn't even planning on going, so she was not going to do all the work and be ditched by Caroline.
"Oh, I have a thermos in my bag." Caroline told him, bending over to her bag and pulling it out.
"I mean a real bite. Rebekah knows some people who like to be fed on. They're into it, we don't even have to compel them." Tyler said.
"Gross." Rosa muttered under her breath. She rolled her eyes and went back to painting the signs.
"Ok, first of all, I finally almost just got your mother to stop hating me—so I probably don't wanna get caught in some weird vampire threesome with her son. And secondly, quit hanging out with Rebekah the evil blood slut." Caroline said obviously annoyed with Tyler.
"Double gross." Rosa said.
"Just keep the claws in tonight at the dance, ok? For me?" Tyler asked her, both of them ignoring Rosalina's comments.
"So, who has the misfortune of being compelled to be her date?" Caroline asked.
"Matt said he'd take her." Rosa dropped her paint brush and her eyes went wide as she stared at Tyler both confused and shocked.
"What? You set her up with Matt?" Caroline was obviously not on board with this plan.
"She wants to go to the dance and he didn't have anyone to go with. He drinks vervain. She can't feed on him, what's the big deal?"
"She could kill him." Rosa told them, thinking it was obvious.
"The big deal, Tyler, is that Matt is an innocent, good person, who should not be going to dances with evil blood sluts!" Caroline shouted and Rosa nodded in agreement. Tyler basically scoffed at the girls concerns.

"Matt's a guy, Caroline. And Rebekah is hot, don't over-think this." Rosa made a gagging sound which made both Tyler and Caroline turn to her for a second before shrugging it off.
"This is a sire thing, isn't it? Please tell me this is some weird family extension of sire bond to Klaus.!"
"I'm here, hanging streamers and I have glitter all over my hands. If I'm sired to anyone it's you." He said.
"He makes a good point. Remind me why I'm here again?" Rosa asked, wiping the glitter off her hands and onto her jeans.
"Because...just get back to work." Caroline said. Rosa rolled her eyes and started painting again.
✰
"You have to come." Caroline said as her and Rosa talked on the phone.
"I don't want to. I don't have a date which doesn't really matter, plus Rebekah is gonna be there and I really can't take anymore supernatural stuff." Rosalina responded.
"Please just come. I need you to come for emotional support. What if Tyler starts being a jerk or something?" Rosa sighed and slowly got off of her bed.
"You're gonna make me come aren't you?"
"Thank you bye." Caroline quickly said and hung up the phone. Rosa sighed and walked over to her closet.
✰
"Hey Care what's going on?" Rosa asked as she walked over to Caroline who was standing outside of the school. Caroline looked at Rosa and shrugged sadly.
"I'm not sure." She then turned to Tyler who was was walking over to them, "What happened?" She asked him.
"The gym is flooded." Rosa watched as Caroline's face fell and her shoulders sunk.
"What?"
"Dance is cancelled."
"Excuse me? What are we supposed to do now?" Caroline asked the two of them. She then called up Elena and told her about what happened.
"So, does that mean I don't have to go?" Elena asked over the phone.
"You wish! No, Tyler is moving the party to his house."
"Kegs and beer pong for homecoming? That's...different." Elena said. Rosa nodded which made Caroline roll her eyes.
"Just say you're still coming."
"Can I go now?" Rosa asked and began walking away.
"No, you're coming with me. We have to pick up Bonnie and then go to Tyler's." Rosa sighed and walked back to Caroline's car.
After the girls picked up Bonnie they walked into the Lockwood Mansion. It was filled with people and rock music.
"How did he plan a better party than me so fast? What? Is that a band outside?" Caroline asked, obviously jealous of her boyfriends apparent party planning skills.
"Who are all these people?" Bonnie asked. Rosalina shrugged and continued to look around at the scene.
"This is weird. Where is Tyler?" Caroline asked, looking around with her arms crossed over her chest.
Suddenly they see someone come onto the large stage. It takes Rosalina a moment to realize it was Klaus.

"Good evening everyone! I wanna thank you for being here with me to celebrate! It's been a long time coming!" Klaus shouted over the crowd. Rosa looked around to see if anyone else knew what was going on. She looked at Caroline who seemed more than confused.
Rosa and Caroline were even more confused when Matt walked in with Elena seeming to be his date. They glanced at each other and then at Matt and Elena.
"Hey...Klaus is here." Caroline said. Rosa eyed her sister confused, but she didn't seem to notice. In fact, Elena wouldn't even meet Rosa's eyes.
"What?" Matt asked.
"Yeah! Apparently our sired hybrid-friend Tyler thought it would be ok to let his master throw a party! I expected more surprise!" Caroline told them.
"I've learned not to be surprised by anything Klaus does. I'm gonna go find Bonnie." Elena says before walking away.
"Hey Lena wait up." Rosa said and ran after her sister. She saw her sister almost frown, but paid no attention.
"Hi, Rosalina." She said. Rosa gave her sister a questioning look. Elena rarely called Rosa by her full name. Before Rosa could say anything else Elena was walking away so Rosa followed. After a while of Elena walking away and Rosa following her Rosa noticed something was off about Elena. She wasn't sure what was wrong, but something seemed different about Elena.
Suddenly Klaus walked up to the two girls which made Rosa freeze. She hated feeling like this. So scared and defenseless. She shouldn't have to feel like this ever yet it's been happening almost everyday lately.
"Where's your date?" He asked Elena and then paid Rosa a soft smirk which made her look down at the floor.
"Getting me a drink." Klaus handed his glass towards Elena, but she rejected it.
"Well, seems I have you to thank for Mikaels demise." Klaus told her. Rosa looked at her sister confused, but decided not to say anything.
"He came at me. I didn't have a choice."
"Still I'm impressed. It's not easy for a human to dagger an original." She said.
"It wasn't the first time." Rosa was surprised by Elena's confidence in the situation. They were talking to a vampire, an original at that and it barely fazed her.
"Right. Elijah. You seem nervous." Klaus commented.
"I'm not nervous. I just don't like you." Rosa widened her eyes and Elena's remark and nudged her slightly which earned her an eye roll.
"Ahh, Rosalina, it's great to see you again." Klaus said with a smile. Rosa didn't answer him so he looked back to Elena and continued to talk. "Let's get straight to the point then, shall I, love? People have been after me for 1000 years. And I am always one step ahead. So, whatever it is you're thinking of trying, go for it, give it your best shot. You won't succeed." He told them. "Now, I would like to speak alone with Rosalina for a moment." Klaus said. Both girls looked confused as to why he would want to talk to Rosa. Klaus gently took Rosa's arm which made her tense up at his touch and he pulled her along through the crowd.
"What do you want? Are you going to kill me?" Rosa asked.
"Oh I wouldn't think of it, love." He said softly now facing Rosa. "I wanted to talk to you for a moment."
"About what?"
"Well first I wanted to apologize for sharing the secrets of the supernatural world. Apparently you didn't know vampires existed, my bad." He said, still holding his smirk.
"Yeah, well now I know. Are we done?"
"I'm sorry, did I do something wrong?" Rosa scoffed at his question.
"Do you mean how you compelled me, how you almost killed me and my sister, maybe how you compelled my sisters boyfriend and are basically torturing her, oh no it's definitely that you killed my Aunt!" Rosa hadn't even realized how loud she had gotten.
"My apologies Rosalina." Rosa looked at him for a moment before turning around and walking away. Klaus suddenly grabbed onto her wrist which made Rosa freeze. "Please go home. I don't want you here for this." He told her.
"Don't tell me what to do." Rosa said, stubbornly. She hadn't even wanted to be here in the first place, but now she knew she wasn't going to listen to Klaus. She wasn't sure what was wrong with her. Her life was in the hands of the same man who murdered her aunt and attempted to murder her sister yet she was yelling at him.
"I didn't want to do this, love." He walked closer and looked Rosa in the eyes. "Go home, enjoy the rest of the night at home." He said. Rosa didn't know what was happening, but she was suddenly walking herself out the door and back to her house.
✰
"Yeah, Caroline's it's fine. I don't blame you for Tyler basically kidnapping you." Rosa said as her and Caroline talked on the phone. Caroline was apologizing for leaving Rosa without a ride.
"Ok good, I'm glad you're ok."
"Thanks Caroline." Rosa said before hanging up the phone. Rosa smiled slightly. She had a friend who cared about her and she wasn't going to ruin it.
Rosa sighed, she hadn't seen Elena since the party. She assumed she went back to Stefan and Damon's house. That's where she spent most of her time, even though Stefan isn't there.
Rosa didn't know what had happened with Klaus. Why had he wanted to talk or apologize to her. It had to have been part of some plan right? Why else would he care about her.

Omnipocalypse Monsters(Shelved Timeline)
System Edit: This timeline has been shelved, but the adventures of the Omegas and her kids will continue in the next System Update Timeline with additional foes and challenges early on to guide the Omegas into a less destructive path of protection. The Omnipocalypse was every apocalypse humans ever imagined all happening at once, zombies, plagues, nukes, EMPs, Robot uprisings. Not just the earth either, It happened to every World ever dreamed up by men too: heaven, hell, and every other afterlife or spirit world ended, plus the worlds of books and stories bled into reality. It all broke apart and either; became new places on the chaotic Earth or part of the even messier spirit world. Magic beasts mutated by radiation, Robots mastering Magic, the mixture of everything made the horrors... well, more horrible. Omega; A young Woman with few memories wakes to find she has spent 2500 years in stasis, in a basement of scientific horrors. Creatures and Things that could supposedly destroy the world if ever let free. Horrors of which she was the last to get free. Rather then Quest for world domination or destruction; Omega keeps getting drawn into a protective role over other orphans, lost monsters, and broken AIs. So she decides to build something to help all her little monster family be safe. -------This story is meant to be a behind the scenes look at stories about kids solving problems that should be beyond them. I always wanted to see a story about Professor Oak, Dumbledore, or any other mentor who trains the main characters. I like the idea of someone looking at the apocalyptic world and deciding to make it safe enough that a small child can wander off and make some monster their pet. The pokemon games have fun systems to consider the behind the scenes workings of, like what training a team rocket member goes through to become a villain cut out for children to defeat. how they prevent a deific pokemon from accidentally murdering some little rat with its immense psionic power. However, the story itself is not really meant to be a pokemon parody, I draw inspiration from every genre of fiction, any type of game, this story is the only one I plan of ever writing without a clear cut ending planned, I love the infinite storytelling capacity of things like Doctor who's TARDIS, the Stargate or Rick's portal gun. In this case, I wanted the setting itself to be one where any and every story might happen. Cover Image by kalli gruen from Pixabay Discord Image by Digital Photo and Design DigiPD.com from Pixabay
