(About 3 years or so in the future so they all pros)
Third Person POV
Kirishima walked slowly back to his shared apartment. Fat Gum, of course, let the new hero get off work early while he recovered. And of course the man thanked him, seeing as it's been ages since he's had a break from work. After all, it was his birthday only a few days ago. But nowadays, it wasn't all that special.
See back when he was still in highschool, he and one of his friends(usually Mina or Tetsu) would help plan an awesome birthday with him. The class would binge shows, watch movies,(obviously) eat cake, and even go places like an amusement park.
But that was all behind him now. He was a pro hero, and(just about) all his friends go to different agencies, not to mention different work schedules. Heck, he barely even got to see his husband.
He winced at the thought. Not only was the schedule mentally and physically taxing, but it seemed as though the only breaks he really got were before and after missions, or just whenever he was sent to the hospital to recover. That of course wasn't the main point though. Ejirou's fought plenty of villains before, and saved so may people. A measly schedule is just something he's gotta deal with. But the fact that he can't really ever spend time with Katsuki, was really upsetting. Even if it was his husband alone celebrating with him, that would be enough.
While in his thoughts, Kirishima subconsciously made his way to his room door. Granted, it did surprise him when he face-planted into the door. But he still got his keys, and opened the door.
Stepping in, the room was obviously pitch black. It was normal for Ejirou to get home first, even on a day like this. Turning the light on, he picked up a marker next to the calendar, and marked off another day;October 20th. Another missed birthday. Not that he was all that upset; he knew his friends had their responsibilities, and so did he.

Dropping his bags at the table, Kirishima noticed a note, coated in blood. This would've been more concerning, if he wasn't still a bit loopy from surgery. Opening it, the note read;
'Hello there, Kirishima. If you're reading this, chances are that you're too late. Maybe while you waste you're precious time, you could enhance your home's security. But if you come and find me, and you just might be able to see him again. ~X'
Who was this? What did they want, is this a prank? No, they had to have broken in. Looking around, the hero could notice broken glass next to their window, and blood around the windowsill. He got out his phone to call the cops, realizing it'd been silent. He had a few missed calls, and messages from his boyfriend;
'Hey Kiri. I'm coming home from the mission now, should be home soon. Hope you didn't burn the damn house down.'
'i just got HomE, and Luckily nothing that bad haPPened. welL wE should probAbly invite SomE people over tonight.'
'SOMEBODY'S HERE'
'HELP'
Steadying his nerves and hoping for the worst, he then checked the voicemail.
"Okay listen, I'm only saying this shit once. I don't know where the fuck I am, but I can't use my damn quirk. I'm putting on my location so you can find me, I think I'm near...oh shit--"
The feed had cut off. Still in shock, he dropped the phone to the ground, and soon followed suit, passing out.
They had Bakugo.
Kirishima woke up with a start as the bus screeched to a halt. He wasn't in his apartment, in fact he wasn't even hurt. Letting out a much needed sigh, he quickly got up and left the bus. There might've been some people asking for an autograph, but he simply ignored them.

Walking into his house, he flipped the light switch, and everything was normal. For the most part. Checking off another day on the calendar; November 6th. Another day without Bakugo. Another nightmare back to the day he failed. The day he couldn't save his boyfriend.
(Sorry about this one, but I wanted to make a really sad one. And I think I did it! I'm working on one for Ochako's birthday, and i promise it won't be this sad)

Keys of the Endpoint
Keys of the Endpoint is an illustrated web serial about the re-birth of civilization in a fantastical world suffering from a recent apocalyptic event. Every day, people appear from the storms that ravage the Endpoint. Whisked away from their own time and place by storms in their homelands, these newcomers find themselves in a hostile place made up of ruins and people from every timeline imaginable. Stranger still, they all soon discover they're carrying silver keys that grant each holder incredible powers. On Earth, most people have mundane excuses for the disappearances, but not Isaac. Having lost his brother Finn to one of these storms, Isaac becomes obsessed with finding a pattern. Not to prevent more people disappearing, but rather to get taken by the storms himself in order to find his brother. While chasing Finn’s faint trail, Isaac soon discovers how little he really knew about himself, his brother and how much loss one person can take. In Keys of the Endpoint there's portal fantasy, personal drama, magic (useable by everyone), plenty of combat, power progression, mysteries, factions, feuds and eventually war (in that order). The magic system is well defined and modular with nigh infinite combinations. The story starts out with one of the two main characters looking for his lost brother but quickly expands in scope from that point on.
