Quirkless/Therapist!Deku x Pro Hero!Todoroki

Third Person POV

"We're out of time, is there anything else you wanted to tell me?"

"Have you ever wanted to be a hero?" asked a client.

Deku's eyes widened, and was in shock. He quickly snapped out of it, not wanting to worry the young girl. Izuku faked a smile and responded; "Why of course I wanted to! But...you don't always get what you want."

She laughed. "Ah, it'll be okay! See you later!" The girl scurried out of the room.

Midoriya closed the door after her, and marked off the name 'Eri' off his clipboard schedule. Looking at the next name; 'Shoto'-

Oh...right.

He's no longer a client.

He sighed in an attempt to stop the tears, which sadly didn't work. Wiping his eyes and the old name off of the paper, Deku sat back down in his chair to think.

Nobody blamed him for still writing the hero's name down, it was practically routine at this point. But they were worried for him. The therapist and Todoroki gotten along quite well since they met. Of course it was a rocky start, but it soon became a lot better. Deku was able to help him with his issues, and it was so rewarding to see Shoto with more confidence and emotion in news interviews because of it.

But...there was one news segment that he wished wasn't real.

'Breaking news! Number Two Hero Shot found dead due to unknown causes. Other heroes are saying that a villain may have caused it, yet we don't know for sure. There will be an investigation starting tomorrow to try and uncover more. A funeral for our dearly departed is currently being planned-'

Izuku couldn't bear to hear anymore.

A mix of emotions filled up his mind, with anger being the primary one.

Who could've done this?

Was it really a villain?

He wanted to investigate, to study more or do something to help.

But he couldn't.

There wasn't anything a quirkless therapist would be able to do.

He was gone.
