《Tear in my heart °vampire diaries°》Chapter 24: Camerons backstory

(This is just so you can see how she grew up with the Gilbert's. It isnt pretty at all, but I feel its important to adress. This is a darker chapter)
Alice Summers screamed in agony as she unexpectedly went into labor. She was with her neighbor Shelia Bennett.
"A few more pushes!" Shelia told alice.
"Ahhh!" Alice screamed louder.
When the baby was finally out of her she expected to hear the child's cries, but heard nothing.
"Why isnt she crying!" Alice cried.
"I'm so sorry, alice," shelia told the young girl.
"No. She cant be dead!" Alice cried harder.
What alice didnt know was her baby was very much alive, and shelia knew.
"What would have been the girls name?" Shelia asked her.
"Cameron Ace," the broken girl sobbed.
Shelia let the girl stay and promised to take care of the child. That night, however, she took the child to Gilbert's residents.
"What do you want?" Greyson gilbert demanded.
"I know you already took in a child this year, but I need you to do it again," shelia told the man.
"Me and my wife cant," he insisted.
"Please. I cant take care of her and her mother doesnt want her," shelia begged.
"I'll never love her. Neither will my wife," grayson warned.
"You dont have to love her. Just raise her," shelia said.
Grayson finally accepted the small child. His wife was just as upset as he was. They didn't want to have to raise another child that wasnt their own.
Time skip - 7 years later
"Mom, dad. Why cant I have a birthday party like elena and Jeremy?" Seven year old cameron asked her parents.
"You dont even have anyone to invite," miranda snapped at the girl.
"I could invite caroline. We could eat cupcakes and watch movies!" The young girl exclaimed.
"Stop it Cameron! You're always a burden to us," her father said.
"Burden?" She asked hurt.
"Your right. You arent a burden to me. Your nothing," he said bluntly.
"Happy birthday, " her mother told her before leaving the room after her husband.

"You otay?" Her five year old brother asked coming in.
"I'm fine," Cameron said holding in tears.
"I have some tookies in my room we could eat," he offered.
"Okay," the girl smiled at her younger brother.
The two spent the night in his room eating cookies and talking. As much fun as it was, what her father told her plagued her brain. Was she really nothing to her parents. If she were nothing to them, would she ever be anything to anyone else?
"Mom. Why dont you love me?" Cameron asked her quietly.
She showered jeremy and elena with gifts, but with that didnt happen with her. The Gilbert's always expressed their pride in her siblings, but never with Cameron.
"How could I love you? You were a burden since the day you were born," her mom sneered.
"Why would have me if you didnt want me?" Cameron asked her.
"You were a mistake Cameron. You could kill yourself and I wouldnt!" She screamed and slapped the poor girl across the face.
She refused to cry as she went to her room. She got a my razor and looked down to her wrist. Cameron had been debating cutting for a while now. After debating with herself for a few more minutes she drug the blade across her wrist.
Instant relief washed over her. Cameron watched some blood pour out of the wound thinking one thing.
She deserved this. Little did she know this would become a habit that would haunt her years to come. She didnt know that once you cut once it's so hard to quit.
"Why is she here?" Elena demanded getting into the back seat with Cameron.
"You know your sister. The attention whore. She just had to come," grayson told the elder of the gilbert sisters.
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay," Cameron whispered.
She was much more timid then. She was always afraid of saying the wrong thing.
Their mom flipped around and glared at the younger of the sisters.
"I told you if you were coming you were not to speak," she said to her.
Cameron nodded her head as tears filled her eyes. Elena saw this and laughed at her sister, seeing her as weak.

"Your a disgrace to call my sister," elena told her.
"Elena stop," cameron whispered.
"What did you mom say!" Grayson yelled turning to his daughter.
"Dad that road!" Cameron tried to warm, but it was too late.
Cameron had fought her way out of the car with the assistance of a stranger. She floated atop of the water until she was rescued. She first saw her sister two days later.
"Its your fault. If you had just shut up they'd still be here!" Elena screamed at her.
"Elena-"
"I will never love you. They never loved you. You are nothing Cameron!" She screamed.
Damon had just left to get cameron some food like the sweet boyfriend he is. Cameron was sitting on his bed, reading when she heard a knock.
"Come in."
Elena walked in.
"You need something?" Cameron asked her.
"Can we talk?" The dark haired girl asked.
Cameron nodded and elena sat beside her. They sat in an awkward silence as elena was forming what to say.
"I grew up with all the attention. Mom and dad loved me. They really loved me when I went after you,"elena started,"it started as an thirteen year old girl, going through puberty wanting more attention. Then it became me loving to hate you."
"Elena-" cameron tried to stop her.
"No. Let me finish. I constantly was at you. I made sure everyone I could get to hate you hated you. I drove any boy with interest away with you. In hindsight tyler was a good one to steer away," the two girls shared a laugh,"and I did all for that extra bit of love our parents gave me. I have no clue why they hated you. The more I think about neither do i."
"I'm apologizing for being a bitch for our whole lives," elena said.
"Elena. I cant forgive you just like that," cameron told her,"I appreciate what you said, but..."
"I will do better starting now. Hopefully before one of us dies in the mess we got yourselves in you can forgive me," elena told me.
"I hope so," Cameron said to her.
Elena just nodded and left the room. She had no clue the damage she had done to the girl. Cameron always loved her sister, but couldnt just forgive her for everything.
Flashback
It was a couple of days after Cameron's parents died. It was twenty four hours after Elena's outburst. She was right. It was her fault.
"I killed my parents who never loved me. My sister hates me. Caroline isnt close to me. The only person who loves me is Jeremy, but is it worth it to hold on?" Cameron asked herself.
Cameron snuck into the bathroom and grabbing some pills. She had to end it. No matter what she tried she did more harm than good.
She had taken four when Jeremy burst in. He saw what was happening and ripped the bottle away from her.
"Stop it! I deserve it!" Cameron weeped.
"No you dont. You cant!" He told her.
"No one needs me! I killed our parents Jeremy! If I hadn't of gone they would be here!" She sobbed trying to reach for the pills.
"You can't leave me too!" Jeremy said to her.
He had tears falling freely down his face. His statement stopped his sister in her tracks.
"Jer-"
"No. Its exactly like a suicide bomber. They crash the plane killing themselves and hurting everyone around them. It's the same thing," jeremy told her.
Cameron just started to cry harder. Her brother pulled his sister into his arms. She doesnt know that Jeremy knows she hurts herself. He doesnt know how to approach her, so he just tries makes sure she feels loved.
He did that day.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.
