《The Nerd that turned out to be Vampire-ish [Wattys2015]》CHAPTER 40: Puke galore.

Jonas returned and picked us up. He said that the others are already there and were just waiting for us. Also, he told us that he wouldn't come with us to Japan. He insisted that he needs to continue with his research and will update us, if ever he finds more about my DNA and blood sample.
We arrived in a private location that Jonas said is a property of the hunters association here in the city. The car parked in one of the building on this lot, that somewhat looks like a big ass garage, also its gates were open. So we came inside, and immediately what caught my attention was the luxurious looking private plane. Kayla was standing outside of it while talking to a man, wearing a technician's uniform.
When Kayla saw us, she smiled and waved her hand. She then introduced us to the person wearing a bright smile – which was unusual to see – and said that this guy is her uncle, her father's brother, and also the person who owns the plane.
"We need to go." She said and we bid farewell to her uncle, and also to Jonas.
As we got inside, I saw Keith sitting comfortably on one side near the window, reading one of marvel's comic book. "Where's Don?" I asked him.
"He's the pilot." He simply said and pointed on a door that would lead to the driver's area.
"Really? Can we trust him with our lives?" I asked and sat to a seat opposite him. Tristan followed and sat beside me, he took the window's seat, which I'm glad he did, because I'm not comfortable looking at clouds. It reminds me that we're on air.
"I guess." Keith said and winked.
Kayla rolled her eyes. "Don is a licensed pilot, and so am I." She said and entered the room where Don is.
I gulped at the thought of Kayla driving. I might die today. Then I heard Keith chuckle. He probably saw my reaction and terrified face.
"Don't worry. They're skilled drivers, it's part of our training." He said and went back to reading.
When the engine started to roar, and we all heard Don's voice on the plane's speaker, reminding us to secure our seatbelts and whatnot. I can't helped but shriek. I'm scared of heights, and knowing my reckless friend Kayla, with death defying driving skills is behind the wheels with him, I might lose my cool any time now.
I felt Tristan's hand over mine as the plane was about to take off. "Don't overthink." He simply said and held me tightly, until we laced our fingers. "Close your eyes."
Which I did and he doesn't need to tell me. As the pressure rose, I held my breath and tightened my grip on his hand.

"Breathe." He said, then laughed. "Don't kill yourself." I also heard Keith snicker on one side.
The plane is now swiftly positioned in the sky, and when I felt the pressure was gone. I exhaled heavily. "Holy shit." Was the first word I said.
"Never expected the daughter of Victoria Hale has fear of heights." Keith said and unbuckled his seatbelt. "I'll get you water." Then he looked at Tristan. "We don't have blood, but will get you one once we land."
Tristan nodded and smiled to him. He too had gotten out of his seat. "A coke would suffice."
Keith laughed and threw him a can of coke. He then walked to me and handed me a bottle of water. "Drink up las." He said and sat on the armrest of his chair. "You're running out of color." I gulped half of the water down in an instant. I don't know if I'm thirsty or just plain nervous.
I touched my face and felt my cold hand. "Can I just hike back from Japan to Philippines?" They laughed, even though I was 100% serious.
Then I felt a headache about to rise, so I desperately massaged my temples. This flight is making me nauseous.
"How's everyone?" Kayla showed up, just in time to see my face going green. That's obviously a good hint that I wasn't feeling great. I hastily took off my seatbelt and run to the restroom. She followed me and waited outside while I throw up. "I'll get some medicine." She said as her footsteps fade at the distance.
I popped my head out the door and managed to say. "No. Please. I don't want." I begged, kind of. The taste of medicine would just make things worse, I guess. It feels like I'm puking shit out my mouth, like my anus just transferred itself way up to my throat.
Gross! What the heck am I thinking in this dire moment? Brain you're not helping! I shouted to myself, while puking.
I heard someone knock on the door. "Let me in." Tristan said.
"No! It smells bad in here." I said and immediately flushed the toilet filled puke. I then washed my face. Damn. I'm as pale as a zombie.
"I don't care. Open or I'll break it." He said with a scary tone.
If I don't open it, I'll experience his wrath when I do come out later, but if I do let him in now, it's my woman's pride that will be injured. Damn. I don't want to be seen this way. But I unlocked the door anyway.
Tristan's face was full of worry. "Wow. You look like a drunk bastard." He bluntly said and handed me my unfinished bottle of water.
But before I could even get the water from his hand. Another pile of puke was raging its way out my system. I turned my face back to the toilet and set them free. Fuck you puke. I said and bid them goodbye with a mental holy finger.

Tristan was rubbing my back the whole time. "Let it all out." He said and sighed. "Just drink the medicine hobbit, don't be stubborn."
I wiped my mouth and stood up as I flushed the content. Wondering where it leads to. Does this plane shower my puke on the clouds? But then it would rain puke on Earth.
Okay, gross thoughts go away. Brain why are you being a sadist?
I washed my face again and Tristan handed me his hanky. Which reminds me I haven't returned the one he lend me before, that I've showered with mucus bombs, that time at the theater.
"Thanks." I said, and inhaled deeply as this next words miraculously came out my mouth. "Fine. Where's that fucked up medicine?" Tristan triumphantly smiled and walked out the door. Probably, dancing like a unicorn on weed while walking down the corridors to get my dreaded medicine at the end of the rainbow.
Okay, why am I talking like a monkey on high? This headache has definitely injured my brain.
Ugh, I can't believe myself! I've surrendered to the call of medicine. I think there's nothing left to puke out in me. So I have no choice, I can't afford to throw up my intestines.
Tristan came back with a tablet in hand. I took it from him and swallowed it in one swift motion. I too finished off the water in one gulp. "Damn. That was gross."
Tristan smiled and messed up my hair. "Good girl." I looked up and glared at him.
"What am I, a dog?" I said and wobbled myself out of this cave.
"No. A hobbit." He said as he grabbed my arm, supporting my weight as I walked, and helped me get back on my seat.
"Well, well, the damsel in distress is back." Keith said and closed his comic book. "The meds will make you sleepy. And sleeping helps. We'll wake you up when we land." He smiled and tapped my head, he then went to the room where Don and Kayla is.
Don came out the door and looked at me. "What happened to you?" He said and sat at Keith's place.
"Air sickness." I said. "Where's Keith?"
"He's taking my place for the meantime." He paused and whispered something in my ear. "It looks like his jealous." I smacked his arm and Tristan chuckled on the side. Even though Tristan's far out on the back seat. Obviously he clearly heard what this donkey had said.
"I think you've forgotten we have him on this plane." I pointed at Tristan's location with my thumb.
Don scratched his head. "Oh yeah. Anyway I need a potty break."
"Uhm. I'm warning you. It smells like a toxic bath in there. You might need a gas mask to breathe." I said as I saw Don nearing the dreaded area.
"Well. I'm used to that. It's the same as peeing in a club." He said and simply shrugged.
He does have a point. Well it's worse in some cases. Because some drunk people don't flush, or just throw up on the floor, or probably will decorate the wall with puke abstract. I've never seen the worst though. I'd take a picture if I do.
I fell asleep moments later. Then woke up when I felt the air's pressure changing, I guess the plane's about to land. I blinked my eyes and realized I was resting my head on Tristan's shoulder.
I touched my mouth if there was any signs of wetness, and there's none, but I don't know if it already evaporated or what. Then I looked at Tristan. "I'm sorry if I showered you with drool."
He just laughed and shook his head. Then he gave me a gum. "It helps." He said and I weirdly believed him.
And it did. Chewing helped the tensed up muscles on my jaw. Tristan forced me to look at the window. Which I refused at first, but then gave in to curiosity. I had a small glimpse of the view outside and it was amazing. Though there were snow falling out, the city lights were still clear in the night sky. I immediately took my eyes away from the window when my nausea started to kick in, again.
"It's amazing. Though my fear of heights is such a bitch." I said and heard Kayla laughed on the other side. This whole time I thought Keith was the one sitting there. "Where's Keith?"
"He took my place as co-pilot. Said he can't deal with the ants." She said and smirked.
"What? I don't get you. Are you sleep-talking, with eyes open?" I asked and she just laughed.
"Well, you're too dense." She said and looked at her side of the window. "Anyway were almost landing."
I felt the bump, as the wheels touched the ground. At last! Then we heard Don's voice on the plane's speaker. "We've finally arrived at the land of the rising sun, motherfuckers!" He said and we all laughed.
And I can't believe it, were already here. Finally one of my dreams came true! JAPAN!
***
I'm writing this part right now, while thunder and lighting is literally partying outside my window. Yes, I'm scared like hell, well mentally, physically I'm wearing a poker face.

Journey of my Core
I have a hard time referring anything that I write to as 'Original'. The longer we as a species exist the harder it is to be truly original, I am certainly influenced by all that I read and watch Including but not limited to J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, and all of the stories here on Royal Road. From the start the MC is only able to comprehend the most basic of what is impacting it with very little to no understanding of the MC's surroundings. There may be updates in the future, but I am in no way a consistant writer. I will never claim to be the best artist, but I drew a representation for my story. Procrastination... Procrastination... Procrastination... Procrastination... Procrastination...

Captain Critiques: A Grumpy Pirate Review Book
(CURRENTLY OPEN)When it comes to reviews, I'm probably as harsh as the hellhole most story ideas crawl out of. I'm blunt, sarcasic, to the point and I know what I like in a story. As you can probably guess, you don't wanna take my advice if your like an overprotective mother about your story. Who am I kidding, EVERYONE is like that about their stories. But, if you could find the courage to pry the story out of your cold, crabby hands so I can give my brutally honest opinion then be my guest. Just don't try and start a fight once I provide it. You DON'T wanna fight a pirate. .................................. I reserve the right to decline stories as this will be taking up quite a bit of my time and if I say no, I mean NO. If your blurb is unreadable I will decline it. If it includes the genres mentioned in my 'Hell No' section then I will send it back where it came from.Do NOT critique the Captain.
