"My uncle can't say no to me. Plus this is what I asked for Christmas, a trip to Japan." She said and I simply nodded. These were some parts of the plan that they haven't told me.
And now I know Kayla's a spoiled brat to her uncle, but anyhow it's so weird for her to be this straight to the point. Like really answering my questions without making me crazy.
"Is Misaki a hunter?" I asked, probably the obvious but I have to know, and feed my growing curiosity.
Kayla sat up and sighed. "Now I'm starting to regret you being my roommate." Then she paused. "She's not a hunter, well, yet. She's one of the candidates who'll be under my wing next year." She paused again. "I'll answer this in advance, because I know you'll end up asking this one too. Her mother is not a hunter. She's a bearer."
I laughed. She read my mind, I was really going to ask that. "So how'd you guys know Misaki?" She sighed again but followed with a smirk.
"Another question and I will make you sleep in the hallway." She scratched her head and eased on the wall. "She's one of the newbies in the academy when we were already trainees. Her father Tatsuya was Don's mentor, but died two years ago. That's all you need to know, and don't bring up her father when we have dinner later." She pointed at me and stood up. "I'll check on the boys."
"Can I come? I don't want to miss out a harem." I said and she laughed while smacking my head.
We went to the boys' room. And was shocked to see that the only bed has been taken over by the donkey. The other two only had mattresses on the floor. Kayla laughed at the sight, then shooed Don on his territory. She sat there and we all hovered on the floor. I saw on one side of the room, the instruments Misaki talked about. There was a guitar and a beat box. I wanted so bad to try the box but then reminded myself that that is a forbidden ground.

Respect the house rules.
Unlike Misaki's room, this one is the exact polar opposite. It has the boyish feel and the smell too. The room was painted in blue and the wall were the instruments are placed, was filled with tons of rock band posters and other famous artists. The shelves weren't filled with books but with CDs. These siblings have totally different characters, which is interesting.
We took out the gadgets we'll use for tomorrow. As Kayla did a last minute briefing on its uses. Mostly are the usual communication gears that I saw on spy movies. The earplugs, though minimized into an earring so it wouldn't look suspicious. Its main purpose is to hear out instructions from commander Kayla. They also gave Tristan and I necklaces or chokers, to change the tone of our voices, it also serves as microphones for us to communicate. Keith has the best one and I'm hoping he's not going to use it for green purposes. He's given the x-ray contact lenses. I should ask Kayla if it can see through our clothes. Tristan was given new glasses as well, with a built-in camera for Kayla to monitor us.
Actually these are all just spy gears and there was nothing for offensive means, which is boring. I was hoping to have laser lipsticks like in Totally Spies.
Oh yeah, almost forgot the most important gadget of all. The flash drive that Keith needs to plug on to the assistant's computer. It looks really plain, but it's like the king to our chessboard. Once plugged it's all on Kayla's hacking skills.
We suddenly heard a knock on the door and immediately Kayla closed the bag where all our gadgets are, and hid it underneath the bed. Then we acted like we're talking. The door opened and Misaki told us that dinner is ready.
By then Misaki's brother Mashiro had arrived from his part-time job. He has a pretty boyish face with short hair, and tanned skin, which makes sense for he's part of the baseball team. He's still in high school, yet he's working very hard for his family, both in school and work.

His mother kept praising her children the whole dinner. The two were embarrassed by her, but it made me somewhat jealous.
I miss my mom. And I'm not talking about Victoria.
I've always loved Japanese and Korean cuisines, and eating an authentic meal made by a pure Japanese citizen, like Misaki's mom, feels like haven to my tummy.
Keith did kept his word on Tristan and bought a dozen of red vile, or well technically it was Misaki. He told her while we're on the way to their home, that we have a vampire company and he has vampire needs. So she bought one, and I have no idea where though, maybe in a black market or bought it online.
After dinner, immediately I fell asleep. I know, I'm a hobbit with a pig's habit.
The next morning, the team woke up early and we didn't even stayed for breakfast. We said that we'd love to start early on our tour around Okinawa, and just eat along the way. But Ayami, didn't let us go until we brought some packed food. So, like high school kids, each of us had a lunch box in hand.
We checked-in to a hotel to prepare ourselves for the operation, and it was pretty close to the queen's beehive. Well the main reason is, Tristan and I still need to get into our disguises, which we can't do in Misaki's house.
And, I really don't know the reason why they hadn't told Misaki about this mission, but whatever it is I support it. Maybe they think she's too young, or not yet ready to be involved into this mess. And obviously if we're caught – hopefully not – it would affect her record in the academy. So either way, it's all a big gamble.
About my get up...
Kayla made me wore a ash-brown wig, and blueish gray colored contact lenses. And I end up looking like a Hawaiian girl. My outfit was a soft knitted white sweater underneath a light blue coat. My jeans is a slim fit denim blue, paired with brown ankle boots. And yes, these aren't the ones that I bought. It so happens that Kayla's pick on our shopping escapade was for my attire today.
Tristan had on a black coat and underneath it was a gray checkered polo, he had on dark jeans and fancy shoes. Definitely looks like royalty. Especially when Kayla styled his hair and sprayed tan on his visible skin, the finishing element was green contact lenses.
He's eye candy.
And when he caught me gawking at him that made him smirk. I blushed mentally of being literally caught in action.
Keith too had dressed up to be our bodyguard. He has a suit on under his long dark grey coat. He looks like a guy from the Matrix movie. This time he's not wearing his cap, and for the first time I realized how long his hair really is. He tied it into a half ponytail and damn he looks hot. Yeah, even I had to admit on that fact. I now get it why he's called the womanizer.
Don waltz in the room without a knock, and had a key tangling on his fingers. "I've got the car. We're ready to roll."
I breathe in heavily, for this might be my last.
***
To be honest. I haven't set foot in Japan, well, yet. It's my ultimate dream to see a Sakura tree filled with blooming pink flowers, and post it on Instagram.
I've only seen Japan via my laptop screen. So expect some made-up settings inspired from animes and movies I've watched. Gawd I'm so lame. Also, I've written this chapter and the next ones without internet's help. So, I'm really sorry about all the hazy descriptions of places mentioned here and the upcoming chapters.

P.S. Watch out for thrilling chapters next weekend, or the next time I upload. Thanks for reading ^_^
