"no she's miserable without her xiao," childe replied. "I'm not miserable without him I'm completely fine you asshole," you yelled bringing your head back up.

"I hate you guys I'm going for a walk I'll be back," you sighed wanting to clear your mind. you weren't sad by xiao not being here you were just sad for no reason.

you went outside going on a walk when you had run into reki and his friends. "y/n! where are the others?" reki stopped signaling for his friends to go on without him.

"oh yeah that's alright," you replied nodding you didn't have the heart to shoo him off. "next week is the festival huh? we should all go together," reki mentioned.

ningguang and ei were holding a festival together. It was only a few more weeks until school ended and they thought it would be a nice idea to do so.

"I'm excited and what about you? You're not going with your friends?" You hummed confused.

"no I just have a bad feeling that the festival day is gonna be my last day," he laughed but you were silent.

"just kidding don't be so quiet," reki patted your shoulder. you didn't like the sound of that.

"stop acting like your gonna die sooner than when you're suppose to," you frowned not liking how he joked at all and he just laughed again apologizing.

"y/n!" yanfei called out at the school gates stopping you from walking away. you stopped in your place turning to where the voice came from and saw yanfei, beidou, and hu tao standing there across the street.

"wanna go shopping with us for the festival next week?" hu tao yelled. "can't I already said I'd visit xiao after school I'm sorry," you frowned.

"don't worry about that! I already told him and he said it's fine," beidou assured and since he already knew you were going somewhere. not to mention he was alright with it so why not?

"okay," you smiled accepting it crossing the street. "where are we going?" you asked getting a hesitant stare from everyone.

in the end you guys decided go to a mall in your school uniforms since it didn't matter too much anyway. you guys had money enough for clothes so that's all that mattered.

"no way... is that her?" you guys were walking around looking for shops that seemed interesting when you spotted a familiar face walking through.

"who's her?" yanfei tilted her head confused at what you were talking about and you slapped a hand over your mouth laughing remembering the situation.

"the girl who asked out xiao on her date with childe."

"I don't even wanna talk to her honestly you guys just wanna go get some food at the food court?" you turned to them who nodded liking the idea.

you guys all went to the food court and got some food. sitting down at your table you didn't even get a chance to breathe when you were approached by a girl.

"isn't it a coincidence seeing you here y/n! how have you been?" the same girl from earlier had approached your table and waved with an innocent smile.

she still had no idea that childe and you overheard the conversation. she hoped xiao hadn't told you guys. she put on a fake act wanting to still act innocent.

"sorry who are you?"

"o-oh, you don't remember me. the double date at the movies? childe's date," she smiled. she was getting weird stares from beidou while yanfei was eating her food staring off to the side not wanting to look at her.

hutao was staring intensely clearly entertained by this, "oh yeah childe's date why did you leave anyways? he was pretty down," you played along.

"it was an emergency I tried contacting him again but it wasn't working. tell him I'm sorry please!" she clapped both her hands together slightly bowing to apologize.

"oh yeah I will... anyways do you need anything?" you were quick to try on ending the conversation. you seriously wanted nothing to do with her.
