After essentially crash landing in the forest, Hiccup cries himself to sleep. The sentence 'Mildew killed my best friend and I almost killed my father.' Runs through his head constantly as he sleeps.
The sound of nearby hunting horns rouses Hiccup from his restless slumber. He hears the sound again but closer. "Great, they're hunting me." He sighs and runs deeper into the forest away from the sound. He closes his eyes and puts his hands over his head as bad thoughts fill it.
So focused on suppressing those thoughts, he doesn't see someone in front of him and bumps into him. The man turns around and smirks and yells. "He's over here! Now come here you little devil." "Gobber. It's me, Hiccup, your apprentice!" "I don't remember ever taking a demon on as an apprentice."
Gobber raises his hook hand and thrusts it down where Hiccup was standing a second ago. Gobber looks around and and sees no trace of him. Mildew comes up beside him. "He got away?" "He's a quick little bugger." "No matter, we will find him eventually. And remember, the kill is mine." "Yes sir."
