Toothless let out a silent cheer as he watched Hiccup fly away safely. At least he would live, but for how long. Toothless shakes his head. No, don't think about that. He got away, that's all that matters now. The vikings closed and barricade the door. They muzzled him and got off him and went up to the stands to watch the show.

He then turned to face Stoick. He got into a fighting position much like a cat with wings. Stoick smirked. ¨It seems that the beast has some fight in him. Better return the favor.¨ Stoick then readied himself as well. The fight ended quickly. Toothless, not wanting to hurt Hiccups's father, was no match for the viking.

Stoick backed away from the defeated dragon and grabbed his execution axe. Despite being defeated, Toothless faced his executioner with his head held high. Stoick laughed. He then moved behind Toothless and broke his right wing.

Toothless felt the pain and realized that even if he somehow got out of there he would never fly again. Stoick smirked and rushed at his neck with his axe held high. A light then engulfed Toothless and he woke on a sea stack. Soon after, Gothi appeared and explained everything. Ending his flashback, Toothless fell asleep and dreamed of more pleasant things.
