August stood by the window in his bedroom while he smoked a blunt. He exhaled smoke as he admired Alijah's naked body. He loved the way she was thick in the right places but also had a petite small body. The moonlight shined so bright it lit up her body making it glow.

Alijah turned over facing the window she woke up seeing August standing there. "Why you up?" She asked.

"Why you up?" August mocked her before walking over to her putting his blunt out.

He pecked her lips over and over again. "What time is it," Alijah asked.

"Um.....," August grabbed his phone seeing he had missed calls from an unknown number. He'll call it back later. "It's 3 in the morning."

"I hope Jay told mama I was at Ming's." Alijah said sitting up and grabbing August's shirt on his nightstand she got up and went to the bathroom.

August took that little time he had and called that number back.

August was wondering why the hospital was calling him.

"Um Hi this August Alsina somebody called me fron this numba." August said.

August dropped his phone when the lady said the last part.

"Hello this is Alijah his girlfriend he's in shock what did you tell him?"

The phone lost connection.

August sat there looking staring off into space.

"Baby...Baby? It's me baby listen to me what happened?"

Alijah held onto August's hand. "Baby talk to me." She said on the verge of tears.

Alijah took off downstairs and got a hot towel and grabbed a cup of cold water. She rushed back upstairs and splashed the cold water on August making him fight the air breathing hard she quickly grabbed the hot towel wrapping it around his neck and holding him so he'll calm down.

"What happened?" August asked.

"You went into shock August who was that on the phone?"

"The hospital Delilah got in a car wreck and my baybeh's gone." August said breaking down.

"What?"

"They said....they said Delilah's in critical condition I don't even know if she's gonna live or nah." August said.

Why is it like when somebody gets out of the hospital somebody always ends back up there they either die or they just there?

Alijah finally calmed August down and she just embraced him.

"I'll go see her later, but I need some sleep." August said laying his head on Alijah.

She messed around with his hair. "I'll be gone when you wake up. I'm going Christmas shopping with Laila.

"Okay just-

Alijah looked down at August and he was knocked out. She decided to follow behind him and go to sleep too.

Delilah laid in the hospital bed watching the sun peck through the windows. She kept thinking about what she did. She kept hearing voices throughout the night. She also heard a baby crying which made her cry.

"Delilah?"

Delilah's mother came in the room looking at her daughter. Delilah had one leg in a cast, her arm in one and her face was all cut up from glass. She also had a gash on the side of her head.

"How you doing?" Her mother said sitting on the edge of the hospital bed.

"Not good. Has August came or called at least?" Delilah asked.

"No he's probably still sleep honey it's just 6 something he'll be here. They called him."

Delilah's eyes were red from crying. "I feel so bad."

"Baby it's not your fault." Her mother said.

"It is because I wanted my baby."

"I didn't want to do that to August knowing how he felt at the appointments."

Delilah started crying some harder.

"Your foot just slipped off the brake and the car ran into oncoming traffic it's not your fault. It's okay. As long as you are alive then that's all I care about." Delilah's mother said.

She knew what really happened, but she didn't want to say anything. She knew her daughter had a mental issue but she just had to go along with it so they wouldn't put her in a crazy place or something like that.

"I just want to go sleep can you ask the nurses or one of the doctors can I get something to help me." Delilah said.

"Yeah baby I'll go see." Her mother got up and left out of the room.

Delilah started hearing a baby crying again. "No....no...no please not again." She cried. "Help stop it please stop stop stop!"

Two nurses came rushing in to see Delilah going crazy.

"Ms.Lane calm down." One of the nurses said.

Her mother came rushing in. "Hey what happened!"

"Mama I did on purpose I didn't mean to. I killed the baby!" Delilah said as the nurse gave her something to calm down. Delilah slowly calmed down and close her eyes.

Delilah's mother looked at her crying. She didn't know what to do or say. All she knew is August could not know what she had done or he would most likely kill her.

August looked in thw window and seen Delilah laying there watching t.v.

He walked in the room and she turned her head to see it was him. August stood up against the wall.

"Hey." He said.

"Hey." She said dryly.

"How ya' doin'?"

"In pain." Delilah said..

"Well dat's obvious. What happened Delilah?" August said taking a seat in the chair that was beside her bed.

"All I know is my foot slipped off the brake I don't know and a truck ran into me along with a car." Delilah said.

"Our baybeh's gone." August said.

"I know that August! You didn't want it anyway. You were so far up Alijah's ass you couldn't see what I needed!" Delilah yelled.

August looked at her like she was crazy well she was crazy.

"First of all everytime you needed me I was there so ya' need ta' pipe da' fuck down. Second of all Alijah was just asking you respect our relationship that's it." August said. "I'm outta here."

August got up to leave. "Wait..."

He turned around to see Delilah trying to sit up.

"I'm sorry for losing the baby." She said.

"Man whatever." August said leaving the room and slamming down behind him making Delilah jump.

Ming watched Keith walk back and forth filing papers in her father's office. Her parents were both gone on lunch break so it was just him and her. Keith tried to go on lunch but her father needed him to do this.

"Did you clean up that mess yesterday?" Ming asked him smirking.

"Yes I got it up right before she walked in told her I spilled something." Keith said. "I told you to get it up since you wanted it so bad."

Ming curled her top lip. "Boy whatever I wasn't about clean that up. But we can make another mess if you want to." Ming said standing up and walking over to him.

"Nah I'm straight." He said.

Ming rolled her eyes. "You know you wouldn't be in this predicament if you would've just stuck with me instead of going out there and getting another bitch to do what I could've done." Ming grabbed his face forcefully making him look at her.

"Let me go." Keith managed to say.

Ming wasn't to fun of this idea but she did it anyway.

"Okay let's go." She said.

"Have fun." Keith smiled waving goodbye to them.

Ming scowled at him before walking out behind Yasir.

"Ouuuuu this is cute." Laila said picking out baby clothes.

"Really Laila already?" Alijah said.

"Yes I know the gender already. Lucas told me." Laila smiled.

"Oh yeah what is it?" Alijah said folding her arms.

"A boy duh." She said holding up the boy clothes.

"Okay." Alijah said. She was already done shopping. She smiled at the bag that had August's gift in there she couldn't wait to see the smile on his face when he opened it. He actually had two gifts she said looking at the Victoria Secret bag that held her outfit for that night.

"Alright I'm done what in the world?" Laila said looking out the entrance of the store.

Alijah looked where she was looking.

"Is that Ming?"

"Yeah but I don't know who that is." Laila said.

Alijah grabbed her bags and walked out the store over to Ming.

"Hey Ming." Alijah spoke to her.

Ming looked at her. "Hey Alijah."

"Hey I'm Yasir." Yasir said introducing himself.

"Hey I'm Alijah. Ming's bestfriend. Laila and I called you to see if you were home so you could come with us but looks like your already busy."

"Yeah I am but I'll talk to you later actually I'll call you." Ming said walking off with Yasir.

"I'm ready to go I'm tired." Laila said.

"Come on girl." Alijah said helping her with some bags.

August sat in the office with Lord so they could discuss some business.

"Looks like you're all better. I heard you and your girl last night freaky asses." Lord said laughing before placing a cigar in his mouth.

August shook his head laughing. "That was all her."

"Yea yea ion want to hear about your sex life, but I do need you to go check up on one of my partnas haven't been making enough money or drops ova there so Vonte, Warren, Darion and you need to go see what's goin' on."

August shook his head.

"You telling me no?" Lord asked him.

"No sir it's just ion think Warren needs to go. He's trigger happy and we don't have time to be handling any bodies." August said. "You see what happened to my because of Warren I almost lost me life,"

"I'll talk to him about that but I need y'all to go on Christmas night because that's when they'll be there the most."

"I gotta be with my girl and her family." August said.

August took a deep breath before nodding his head and standing up.

"Aye you bought her somethin' for Christmas yet?" Lord asked him.

"Nah not yet why?"

"Here." Lord said getting up and opening his safe before taking out a blue rectangular box and handing it to August.

"What's this?" August asked opening the box he seen a rose gold diamond bracelet. "Damn!"

"Give that to her." Lord said.

"Nah man this belonged to Kianna I rememba' ha'."

Lord looked down. Kianna was his fiance who got killed during a drop he was trying to make.

"Take it ion have no use of it."

"Ight." August said before walking out of his office. He slipped the box in hoodie before leaving the trap. Crackheads were crazy as hell.

August got in his car he locked his doors. Delilah was heavy on his heart for some reason it's like he needed to find out something or Delilah wasn't telling the whole truth about what happened.

August walked in Delilah's hospital room.

"Whoever is here leave." Delilah said. "Visiting hours are over anyway."

"Even for me?" August said.

Delilah turned over to see him standing there. "What do you want?"

"Delilah I need you to tell me da' full truth and nothin' but da' truth. What actually happened? I know you rememba'."

"I....I...don't know August leave me alone please." Delilah cried.

"You killed my baybeh?" August said.

"I hated you and Alijah's relationship that's supposed to us with our baby with Alijah going crazy over you not me. I thought the baby would change you but I guess not. So I decided just to end it all." Delilah said.

August went black next thing you know he was choking the hell out of Delilah before feeling somebody slam him against the ground.

"I told you! I told you before we even starting fucking with each other that we weren't gonna he together you crazy ass bitch! You killed an innocent human being my innocent human being I hate you!" August said being pulled out of the hospital room.

Delilah struggled to breath then she heard a baby crying again which resulted in her crying.

"Get the fuck off me!" August yelled as the police started putting handcuffs on him.

They took August outside and they out him in the police car. August started to yell that's all he could do in that moment.
