《Between Two Worlds (Aizawa x Reader)》Chapter Eighteen: Udon It Is

I sat up, still in a bit of a haze after what I had done.
I looked over to Aizawa, who seemed just as equally dazed and confused as I did as he also sat up, only he didn't look at me.
We didn't say anything for a bit.
The silence was deafening.
"Well," I started, "a deal's a deal. So are we ending training for the day?"
He still said nothing.
Is he pissed at me?
"What on earth are you trying to pull?" he asked, somewhat angrily, holding his cheek.
Shit. He's pissed at me.
"N-nothing!" I stuttered, "I was only trying to get you off of me."
"By doing that?!" he looked at me, his cheeks redder than before, and not because I punched one of them.
I looked down, feeling awful.
Maybe that wasn't the best course of action.
"I thought having the element of surprise was a basic skill every hero needs." I said quieter than before, "Ya know, to subdue those who are up to no good?"
I could hear him growl in disapproval at first, giving him a moment to think over what I just said, before hearing him let out a long sigh and getting up.
I still kept my gaze down to the ground as he approached me, lending me a hand.
"Well, that certainly was a surprise, I'll give you that." he said, a little more gently. I looked up, and hesitantly gave him my hand as he helped me back up to my feet, "but don't do that again." he said firmly.
I looked back down again, as my heart sank. Even though it wasn't how I imagined my first kiss in this world would be, I couldn't deny that it was spontaneous and thrilling. And now I'm not allowed to share it again with a character I adore. A character who was now real, standing before me. To say I was crushed was an understatement.

"It's rude not to look someone in the eyes when they're talking to you." he said, softer this time, as he took his rough fingers and everso gently lifted my chin up, making me meet his soft gaze. My breath hitched as my eyes met his, "Do you understand?" he asked me.
The way he asked it, it wasn't in anger or in disgust. Instead, it felt like he was asking in desperation. Like he wasn't asking because he didn't trust me, but rather because he didn't trust himself.
"Yes, sir." I said, equally as quiet as him.
He kept his eyes on mine for a moment, almost like he was analyzing them, before humming in response, and slowly lowering his hand away from my face. The physical interaction was momentary, but I already missed his touch. I wanted to be handled like that again.
He slowly turned away from me and started to head towards his capture weapon on the floor.
"As I promised, a deal is a deal. We'll end training for the day." I heard him say as I followed him, "Know what you want for food?" he asked.
I thought for a moment, but then realized, I didn't know what exactly people ate on the daily here. The only Japanese food I was aware of was ramen, sushi, miso soup, and candy, all of which were on the low end of pricing. And the only food I've had here was stingy, bland hospital food, applesauce and cereal.
"I'm not sure," I said, "I'm not from around here, so I don't know what's good to eat."
Aizawa thought for a moment before responding, "Udon it is."

When we finally reached his apartment, Cloud greeted us both with enthusiasm. I went to pick him up as Aizawa locked the door behind me, but then I felt my entire body stiffen. This cat couldn't have weighed more than five pounds, but he felt like twenty with my arm muscles being completely shot.

I inhaled sharply, and then put him back down.
"Sorry, bud. Maybe later." I said to the cat, as he continued to paw at me for affection.
"You alright?" asked Aizawa as he saw me react in discomfort.
"Yeah, just really sore." I said, as I massaged my forearms, "You really kicked my ass back there." I chuckled as I sat down on the couch, wincing as I felt everywhere else hurt.
Aizawa looked through a few drawers before pulling out something and handing it to me.
"Here." he said as he handed me the contraption, "Use this. It should help."
I looked at it, completely confused.
"What...is this?" I asked. It looked like a weird screwdriver gun...but smoother and more round. "If I didn't know any better, it looks like a sex toy."
Aizawa snickered and rolled his eyes.
"Get your mind out of the gutter. It's a theragun." he said, almost amusingly, "Here, I'll show you."
He took the theragun and sat next to me.
"The button to turn it on is here on the handle," he said as he pressed it, making the round end vibrate, "Place it onto any trouble area and press it. How hard you press the handle will change the settings."
I raised an eyebrow and he placed it near the back of my neck.
"Like so." he said as he gently pressed the button, immediately making it vibrate.
I jumped slightly at the sensation, but instantly felt the results. I could feel the knot as the theragun massaged it. It felt both amazing and awful.
"Breathe." he reassured, "It'll help release the knot."
I did as I was told and took deep breaths, allowing the tightened muscle to finally relax and loosen. My body immediately relaxed with it, and I slouched, already feeling slightly better.
"You work on that, while I get us some food." he said as he handed the theragun back to me.
"Thank you. You're a godsend." I said as he gave me a slight smile before walking back to the kitchen.
Honestly, I would be a wreck without him.

Adelaide
The entries here are transcribed from the log of Marie Ruiz, first mate of the Adelaide. It was definitely, definitely not published without her permission or knowledge by a certain lovable artificial intelligence for the purpose of sharing it with my AI friends on other ships who follow it like a soap opera. No way, no how. Remember guys, don’t go spreading this around too much. Only pass it on to those you can trust. God forbid this should ever end up on a public network… (Adelaide is a science fiction web serial featuring the adventures of a crew of smugglers. In space. It’s on the softer end of the soft/hard sci-fi spectrum because the author got a C in physics. Updates every other Sunday.)
